    A Typical U-Turning Tory Worm – Cambridgeshire’s Anthony Browne

    In a passage about Muslim leaders warning the Iraq war could cause social unrest, he wrote:

    “Whatever the merits or demerits of war on Iraq, it is hardly a national strength to have a large minority with such divided loyalties during war.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/11/tory-candidate-anthony-browne-faces-calls-quit-over-disgusting-racism

    That was one of Anthony Browne’s observations, which have, years later ( i.e. now!) become big news, and most of us would say –

     ‘Well said!’

    After all, Muslim leaders, Christian leaders – and leaders of any creed in Britain – should obviously wish British forces well and urge their flocks to pray for British victory.

    If any British ciitizens were to show any inclination towards ‘social unrest’ because of supranational sectarian allegiance, the disgusting mind-set that prioritises solidarity with foreign co-religionists above every Brit’s duty to Queen and Country..

    ..

    …then it would be fair to designate such dirty disloyal dogs as…what… anything but a ‘national strength’ – more like a cancer in the British body politic.

    Of course there are decent, honourable British Muslims who disdain such foul sentiments…

    .

    .

    …but there are also 20-30 thousand jihadists in the UK known to the security services –

    Huge scale of terror threat revealed: UK home to 23000 jihadists

    – and incredibly not put behind bars for their treason…

    ..

    …..

    …and most Brits are well aware of the extent of the treasonous mind-set, not just from learning of those filthy bag-heads and brutes in the pictures above…

    .

    ..

    ..but from behaviour they have read about, seen on tv or even, if they live in certain cities, seen for themselves….

    …as vile vermin jeered armed forces personnel in what used to be English cities.

    Browne was quite correct to draw attention to that problem then and it has certainly not gone away.

    In fact thanks to Theresa May, it has grown.

    Yet instead of trumpeting the wise words he said back then, Browne makes grovelling apologies, crawling to the left media and deplorable extremists like Naz Shah, who are of course not satisfied and want him forced out of his candidature.

    So he should be, not to appease the mindless blatherers of the Left, but because he is not the good man he used to make himself out to be, and because he is gutless.

      I was halfway through commenting on a previous post when this appeared so I might as well comment on this too.
      These ‘posh boys’ know what’s right and honest and Browne, like Johnson, will speak up and expect our praise.
      The only problem is that they don’t care about us, and they will quickly make their peace with appeasing words, as Browne has just done, and as Johnson has too, with all his u-turns, of which you have many times reminded us.
      There are a few honest Tories but not enough to make any difference. In the absence of a Brexit Party candidate, we have to search the ballot paper for anyone, even from a tiny but honest party, who believes in Brexit and not this travesty Johnson is offering.

      Browne is one of many Tory toff reasons for a lot of us turning off politics.
      Him and Johnson and Farage.

      I am desperately hoping there will be a real Brexit candidate to vote for with my postal vote.

    A New Tory Low – UKIP Are ‘Detritus!’

    Craig Mackinlay, a former Ukip leader standing for the Tories against Farage at the election…

    A man who has to be good at reaching out to the thousands of former Conservatives who have this past year signed up to UKIP, you might think.

    But no, he exudes the sort of snobbish condescension might expect from the residents of Downton Abbey – and at least they had class!.

    =======================

    OMG,  says Little Craig! How dare UKIP brazenly voice popular indignation at the betrayal of the British by HMV in Downing Street? Lo, how this arrogant elitist despises democracy.

    ===

    dignif

    ===

    And it’s not just UKIP’s patriotism that offends him, it’s the very character of party members.

    “….If you ever go to a Ukip gathering, it looks like, dare I say this, the detritus there that have been everywhere else …

    I thought it best to locate the dictionary definition of ‘detritus.’

    …  waste material or rubbish…a loose mass of decaying material…

    oooooooooooooo

    WHAT A STUCK-UP PRIG!   (did I spell that last word correctly?)

      I was in UKIP when Mackinlay was treasurer. He never produced any accounts for members. The then leader ,Alan Sked, certainly was academic. He assured us that the accounts were in proper order but it was necessary to keep them secret from our opponents. The members acquiesced in that, trusting the leadership. I remember talking to Mackinlay about increasing the membership. ” Why should we do that?” He asked ” They only create extra expense”. I assumed it was an odd sort of joke. After Mackinlay flew the coop, no accounts for the missing years were ever found. The books delivered to the new leader, Michael Holmes, were professionally examined and found to be “unauditable”. So no light was ever thrown on Mackinlay’s stewardship. Obviously he and the leadership of the day thought that the UKIP members were “detritus” even then.

      Yes, we have just been talking about this and you hit the mark with the Cameron comparison.
      A lot of us think the British media today, or most of it. gives us news as fair as Pravda’s used to be in Russia

      As we have a Government at present that is allegedly over a £trillion in debt, and obviously in suggesting we now have EU Commissioners, elected Police Commissioners for each EU REGION in the Country and Nation of ENGLAND, which will boost up the debt even higher, what are we-the voters supposed to do?
      Accept it all?
      Or Vote for the present UKIP in the hope that THEY take us out of the EU?
      We know-without doubt-all three major Political Parties want to remain in the EU apparently-forever, YET PREVIOUS PRIME MINISTERS HAVE TAKEN US INTO TWO WORLD WARS TO PREVENT EXACTLY THAT, SO THAT NO FOREIGNER MAY GOVERN US.
      So what exactly are we supposed to do especially when people keep voting for them, perhaps putting THEIR Political Party before the Freedom of All in this their own Country that so very many gave THEIR lives for in that last World War.
