    Cops Can’t Catch Him? DISGUSTING!

If you take a break from the decadent West, where gutless craven cops kneel to racist BLM rabble…

… then one place in The Tropics to avoid at all costs, is Jombang, in East Java, where police are unable to arrest a wanted man….

..because a mob of hoodlums won’t let them.

Incredibly, there as negotiations going on, after…

.. leader of the school, Mursyid Thoriqoh Shiddiqiyyah, made Jombang Police Chief Moh Nurhidayat kneel as he demanded that the police drop the charges against his son..

Video of the interaction went viral and made the police look small when confronted by religious authority… https://coconuts.co/jakarta/news/office-wounded-as-police-swarm-islamic-school-to-capture-child-molestation-suspect

Already at least one cop has been wounded by violent malignants.

.As I watch the local news right now, there are shocking scenes outside the ‘religious school’ –

    …aka pondok pesantren

    – which is run by the Islamic ‘scholar’ to whom the police chief was so deferential.

    For more background, read this.

    –  I have to wonder why the Jombang police are issued with fire-arms…

…if they are not prepared to use them in the face of mob mayhem.

PS. I’m updating this to indicate that plenty of sensible Indonesians share my distaste for the lawless rabble.

A parliamentarian from the PKB party, moderate Muslims, Luqman Hak, has asked the Ministry of Religion not to hesitate to freeze the boarding school’s permit.

Sensible Muslims must be well aware that the reputation of the many respectable ‘pondok pesantren’ can be damaged by reports like this. Good for Luqman Gak.

Although the outrageous episode ocurred a week ago, It is so characteristic of the mentality of the bigot minority here in Indonesia…

…that I feel obliged to let overseas readers read for themselves what happened at Pamekasan, East Java, on 1st December.

Such vile and cowardly behaviour is far from unique to this country.

The victim was not actually alone – but her only companion was a house-maid, not much help in the face of a mob of gutless swine!

The besiegers were fans of Rizieq the Fanatic…

…and their target that day was Indonesia’s Minister of Security, a man named Mahfud.

The residents of the house were terrified. The mob was violent. They threatened to burn down the house if Rizieq Shihab was imprisoned,” said Syaiful Hidayat.

( that link will take you to an Indonesian language report, but Google Translate will e adequate for you to confirm the gist of the story)

    Syaiful is Mahfud’s nephew.

Prior to their onslaught, the crowd was known to have held a demonstration at the Pamekasan Police Station. At that time, the crowd urged the police not to arrest Rizieq.

Then, on their way home, the crowd came to Mahfud MD’s parents home..

Vile fanatics lay siege, as a nonagenerian quails indoors

Inside the house was the mother of the Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs, 90 years old, feeling threatened by the suspect’s screams of “Kill … Kill,” said East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Nico Afinta at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters…

    Police Chief Nico Afinta

there were many demonstrators who were shouting threatening words against Mahfud MD.”

However, he continued, the words “Kill, kill”, based on police investigation, came from the suspect, AD alias MT.

    Not quite so bold now?

That individual has been detained and we await the legal process.

If he is found guilty, a public flogging, alas, is not included in the Indonesian penal code!

In Blitar, East Java, Dere’s Da Good News…And Da Kill-Joys!

The good news for the fine folks who live in Blitar, East Java, is that the local authorities have told  the numerous mosques in the city ‘not to broadcast tadarus (Quran recitals) over loud speakers after 10pm.’

    A welcome relief, no doubt.

Mosque noise is an issue that has long been making news, not just in the provinces but all over Indonesia, most recently, and shockingly in Sumatra…

Jackboot! Woman Jailed For Complaint About Mosque Noise!

…where a court verdict on a harmless woman appalled decent people around the world.

There was too the victimisation of a Muslim man in Aceh…

Aceh – Muslim Seeks Quieter Mosques, Bullied Into Silence, after ‘Death Threats!’

…which of course is run by shariah fanatics…

    …but also in Jakarta..

…where even former Vice-President Kalla, himself a serious Muslim, acknowledged the problem.

Turn It Down! Ex VP Urges Volume Control for Noisy Indonesian Mosques

For my part, I’ve long since ceased to be bothered in my comfy bed, but a nice London lass I know actually moved house, from Rasuna Said to a district way down in Jakarta’s south, simply because the constant and incredible volume of calls to prayer rendered her incapable of getting a proper rest.

So it’s commendable that, in Blitar, the head of the Public Order Officer Unit (Satpol PP), a Mr. Juari, showed a sensible grasp of reality.

He noted that fasting all day left people tired out after work so no wonder his sensible circular ‘had received a warm welcome from a wide cross-section of the community, including the takmir..’

However, for Blitar people, that might have been the only bit of news that they got this month.

the Blitar city has also banned live music performances and the sale of liquor in cafes, hotels and other entertainment spots…“Satpol PP will take stern action against cafes selling alcoholic drinks,” said Juari, adding that routine patrols would be held to monitor the city during Ramadan…  https://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2019/05/07/blitar-bans-quran-recitals-over-loud-speakers-after-10-p-m.html

Which brings me back to my usual theme at this time of year.

If those who wish to be as devout as can be cannot walk by a cafe selling beer or playing music without caving in to temptation, what kind of commitment do they have to their devotion?

Fact is, they should be grateful for the opportunity to resist, to show their grit.

If they sat in a sound-proof room all through Ramadhan, what would that prove?

    Nothing at all.

I could echo the late President Gus Dur, who exalted religious liberty and tolerance. He urged fasters to respect non-fasters!

    gus dur fasting

I could talk about the civil rights of those who are not obliged by their creeds to observe the fasting.

    But they’re just minorities!

    Who cares about their rights?

Not the kill-joy crowd, that’s for sure.

East Java Kids Face An Anti-Valentine Diktat!

We have not seen so many news reports of anti-Valentine hysteria in Indonesia this year, although there has been one classic, already noted…

and while maybe an encouraging sign, that deprives me of good raw material like those last year…

    Anti-Valentine Raids On Java Bed-Sits? :

…or in the years before that.

    Sumatra Goon-Squad ‘Monitors’ Valentine Vice!

     satpolbekasi  Valentine_Menurut_Islam

However, here’s one more example that popped up a few days ago!

The latest anti-Valentine jackboot bigotry, NOT by the MUI fanatics this time, but, incredibly, according to Eramuslim news page, by the Department of Education and Culture in Bondowoso Regency, East Java!

These sticky-beak bureaucrats are not content to issue a diktat for the educational property that comes within their sphere of authority –

“We have sent a circular letter to the school to ban students not to celebrate valentine day that is not our culture,” said Head of Education and Culture of Bondowoso, Endang Hardiyanti in Bondowoso

    Gambar terkait

According to Endang, the celebration of “Valentine Day” tends to lead to negative things that are not in accordance with religious norms and Eastern culture, so it’s reasonable if the next generation of the nation is empowered not to the day of love.

Part of what she says is true, clearly. Valentines would be as unknown in Indonesia as other cultural imports, e.g. Mickey Mouse and jazz, were it not for Western influence.

Are the two latter phenomena also to be outlawed because of her chauvinistic prejudice? Do Mickey, and jazz, also lead to ‘negative things?’

One assumes not. One sadly assumes that the animosity towards Valentines is motivated by the perceived like between the celebration and normal affection between boys and girls.

Hasil gambar untuk public display of affection

Indonesia – Deadly Invasion by PDA!

We know the sort of nasty infantile hang-ups some people have about the PDA threat!

    Gambar terkait

But that reference to religion is downright sinister.

Endang goes on to rant that Valentine’s Day is very contrary to our religion, so we need to fortify the students to not be affected by negative culture.”

I thought Indonesia was a pluralist country!

She’s a Muslim, but the Provincial Department she’s meant to serve is itself meant to serve ALL children in East Java, regardless of religion.

Her sectarian outlook is deplorable, but she seems not even to confine her Islamist intimidation to the schools.

    Endang has issued a circular.

“The school should inform the parents of the students about the ban, either by mail, or through meetings.”

Dikbud Bondowoso Larang Siswa Rayakan Valentine Day

What’s not clear is whether she’s trying to expand her intolerance beyond the school-yard to the unfortunate students’ homes…

…or if perhaps, in a last-minute glimmer of rationality, she aims to give parents the opportunity to challenge her dictatorial decree.

Eramuslim doesn’t pursue this question, but I tend to fear the former explanation is more likely!

Indonesia’s Intolerants Find New Excuse To Whine!

Good news, mostly, for decent Indonesians, whose government has urged officials to stand up to mob pressure…

    Gambar terkait

…after Muslim and nationalist protesters called for a 30-meter-tall statue of a Chinese deity erected in a temple complex in an East Java town to be torn down.

This is refreshing, coming at a time when bigoted Islamists have been riding high after Jakarta’s Christian Governor Ahok was imprisoned for ‘blasphemy’ merely for quoting a Koranic verse.

So Has Indonesia Come To This? Paradise Lost?

The statue of Guan Yu in Tuban, East Java, is said to be Southeast Asia’s tallest such representation of the deity.

Bigoted ‘protestors,’ some wearing paramilitary-style outfits have been ranting that “We are not worshippers of idols”.

    • Does anyone wish to make them ‘worship idols?’

    Obviously not.

But of course they know that full well, just as we know that the real reason for their ranting is nasty sectarian hatred.

We’ve seen it before, in another Indonesian city, Tanjung Balai, in Sumatra, very far away from East Java.

Indonesia Inquisition Ministry Turns Guns Against Buddhists –Statue Downed at Islamist Behest

The enemies of religious liberty there were equally up in arms about this statue…

And that episode did not end well for the decent people in that neighbourhood.

It’s important, however, to note that there was another President then ruling from the National Palace in Jakarta.

So well said, Teten Masduki, chief of staff to President Jokowi, who spoke to the media last week.

“If they ask for the statue to be torn down, authorities cannot bow to such pressure.”

Unfortunately, the Jakarta Globe fails to identify the sponsors of the intolerant rallies. A previous mealy-mouthed report would only say they were from ‘certain groups,’ a meaningless phrase but common enough here.

So let’s have them named and shamed!

Equally, unfortunately, the Tuban statue is currently shown in the media photo as partially covered, appeasement of the ignoramuses, it seems.

    Hasil gambar untuk patung tuban

President Jokowi would win widespread approval if he ordered his National Police Chief to get that fanatic shroud hauled down, and instal some well-armed cops around the scene, with orders to get stuck into any jihadist jerks who stick their bigot snouts in.

Hizbut Hate-Group – East Java Muslims Set Canberra A Fine Example!

Since I finally mastered the trick of scheduling publication of my blog-posts (a very recent technological triumph on my part!) I have also learned its downside, that scheduled posts can be overtaken by events.

    • Hence this story of admirable Indonesian Muslims taking a stand against evil is a week old, but I’ve amended it to include some Australian news.

…hundreds of members of Banser NU Tulungagung forced the HTI group stopped at the Terri border. They then forced all participants to remove all their banner attributes.

Terri is located in East Java and HTI, of course, is the infamously intolerant Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia.

“We staged the ambush and forced them to disperse. That’s because their activities, spreading their concept of the caliphate…has the potential to divide the community.”

    • ====

    • That’s Syahrul Munir speaking, head of GP Ansor’s Tulungagung branch speaking.

    • GP Ansor is the security wing of the NU, the largest Muslim grass-roots organisation in the archipelago. Banser is their youth section.

There were about 130 of these local heroes.

“Ansor and Banser firmly rejected that activity because it is contrary to the principles and commitments of the NU, which are to maintain the integrity of the Republic. Homeland No Surrender!”

It wan’t only on the Terri line that these Tulungagung patriots stood guard. Banser Ansor were also observed on standby at Kediri, Blitar, and Malang…

    • Hasil gambar untuk tulungagung

    • That’s a lot of ground to cover.

So good on these guys, whose responsible conduct contrasts with the Australian Government’s shilly-shallying, which began with Abbott reneging on a pledge to deal with the Oz part of this hate-gang, and continues under Malcolm Turnsteer.

He has so far shown no sign of any positive response to a petition demanding a ban on the vicious fanatics, whose ‘Australian’ leader was recently exposed reiterating its murderous call for ‘apostates’ to be put to death.

    • ……..
    • This savage insanity is not unique to HT but is common among Islamists, who genuinely believe that ‘apostates’ ( that means anyone who uses his or her God-given brain to decide to worship God Almighty via a different creed,or not to worship at all) deserves to be killed!

    • …..

    • Of course there are apostates and apostates- those who abandon their Christian faith ain’t so bad! An Apostate Attacks Ahok – Denies Right To Criticise!

    • …….
    • Clearly such people do not belong in any civilised country and should be deported, but if they have organised themselves into a movement, like Hizbut Tahrir, a ban is the minimum step that governments need to take. Several Muslim countries have done so.

    • So now an Aussie patriot group, AltCon News, has gotten busy and launched a petition.

    • Hasil gambar untuk altconnews

Petition · Hizb ut-Tahrir: Call to ban group in Australia · Change.org

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is being urged to ban Islamist extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir from Australia…

‘Ex-Muslims should be free from death threats’

As AltConNews quite rightly says –

‘Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for the removal of the Australian way of life being as they claim our freedoms and rule of law as ‘corrupt society that is to be transformed into a Islamic society’,’ the petition said.

‘Hizb ut-Tahrir calls the for removal of the rule of law in favour of sharia law and to use any means possible to achieve these changes.

Alas, Mealy-Mouth Malc is very unlikely to do the decent thing.

His chummy embrace of that repulsive extremist, the ‘Australian’ Grand Mufti, has demonstarted that he lacks the will and/or the grit to take on the Islamist Enemy Within. Australia, Deport This Sex-Obsessed Sectarian!

IslamoNazis And Cops! Bleak Bekasi – But Bravo Jember!

Thanks to the Jakarta Globe for reporting the admission by a senior cop that Indonesian police are reluctant to crack down on hate speech, including by hard-line Islamic groups, because there are no “rewards” for doing so and they fear a backlash.

The man who confirmed what many Indonesians, not just persecuted Christians, Ahmadis and Shia but also plenty of decent Muslims, have long thought, is Sr. Comr. John Hendri of the National Police’s legal division.

    john hendri

In something of an understatement, he had to agree there is a widely held public perception that the police were unwilling to take on purveyors of hate speech such as groups hostile to minority religious groups.

“The truth is that police officers who see, hear or experience such incidents can file a report [for subsequent investigation], but tend to be scared to because there’s no reward or guarantee of safety for themselves.”.

One is taught from childhood that one is only sure of getting one’s rightful reward in Heaven, but let that pass. The JG reminds us that some of the worst perpetrators, in particular the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), have long been championed by the police as providing a community policing service.

    • anfpi2
    • Leaked US diplomatic cables dating from 2006 allege that the FPI, responsible for attacks on minority Islamic communities and Christians, receives funding from the police and acts as the force’s “attack dog.”

Some of you will recall Timor Pradopo, the National Police Chief who actually welcomed the idea of working hand-in-hand with those IslamoNazi gangsters!

Here’s our photo, Pradopo having morning coffee with the hoodlums’ leadership. And another, with the Bekasi Gauleiter of the same white-shirt vigilantes.

    pradopo murhali

And it’s a handy coincidence that this weekend we had proof from Bekasi that the problem of cop collaboration with Islamist bigot bullies hasn’t gone away.

Certainly not the police, who too often turn a blind eye and deaf ear to jihadist brutes, as we’ve covered more than once. I provide the link to our older post, with the video link that records how a senior Bekasi cop ignored a savage’s death-threat to a Christian pastor.  https://rossrightangle.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/off-with-his-head-jakarta-cops-no-sweat-on-murder-threat/

    • And now we read the cops in Bekasi are working hand in glove with the IslamoNazi FPI. These self-styled ‘Defenders of Islam’ are infamous for their vigilante intimidation  – and for their cowardice.

    fpi skulk in mosque

Nobody’s forgotten Sukorejo, where the craven bigots scurried into a mosque for safety, and skulked there till assured of a police escort out of town after dark.

IslamoNazis V Freedom-Fighters? – Some Chicken, Some Neck!

So one sees their logic in strutting round town with armed cops to cover their sorry asses. But what can possess police officers sworn to uphold the law, empowered to act against anti-socials, instead to join hands with hoodlums? That’s what happened last weekend, with a joint ‘sweeping’ swoop.

Not to round up known louts (hardly – the FPI aren’t going to detain each other!) but to harass ‘dimly-lit stalls’ where beer and cuddly cuties might be available.

Police West Cikarang, West Java, cooperated with the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) on raids early this morning, Monday (06/07/2015). One of the targets of the operation is the hangouts of commercial sex workers (PSK).

They wasted the time of 150 officers in this kill-joy tour de force, demonstrating yet again the poor priorities of policing and the authorities’ indifference towards naughties for 11 months of every year, then that self-righteous surge in Ramadan.

Police Chief  Lintar Mahardono, of Bekasi’s West Cikarang area, admitted that the action was to anticipate the sweeping unilaterally by certain organizations.

So because they fear the thugs may go a-raiding on their own, they invite them to join police operations?

These cops are armed! If they see white-shirt goon squads roaming the town, all they need to do is draw their side-arms and order the nasty no-goods to disperse, or else!

    They’ll scuttle off fast enough!

Of course there’s no real crime in Bekasi, so the under-worked rozzers may as well wander round with white-shirt sticky-beaks picking on harmless hookers.

    • Get real! There’s heaps of REAL crims in Bekasi, who merit the interest of the constabulary FAR more than a gaggle of good-time girls in ‘dimly-lit stalls!’

But let’s not tar every police officer with that tacky Bekasi brush!

Compare and contrast with a responsible copper, in Jember,  East Java,   Police Chief Sabilul Alif. who led his men in public confrontation with a convoy comprising dozens of members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), and stopped them in their tracks.

    Telling off the toe-rags!

There’s at least two You Tube videos of the scene –  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krMKYYs4f1E– the fanatics backing off sharpish as Sabilul lays down the law! The videos  have gone viral, suggesting a LOT of people ( over 200,000!) liked what they saw, an honest policeman doing his job, unafraid of curs who never dare step up unless mob-handed.

“Check and bring all these vehicles to the police station,” said Alif Sabilul to his men. He ordered the layabouts to be checked out and, if need be, reported for crash helmet and vehicular violations, etc., and made clear his professional approach to law and enforcement.

I will guarantee security. I will ensure there’s nobody doing anything without authority,” he said.

So why does Jember have proper policing, while Bekasi’s Finest patrol in company with undesirables?

A community gets the police it deserves?
