An American Appeal – Say NO To Pelosi’s Pro-Pervert Plans!

As ever, I’m happy to pass on an appeal to my American readers…

    .

    .

…about a real menace to their way of life!

Senate Democrats are pushing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to take up Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) radical Equality Act, (H.R.5)—a bill designed to wield a wrecking ball to religious liberty. A significant number of Senate Democrats sent a letter to Sen. McConnell stating, “We write to urge you to immediately bring the bipartisan Equality Act (H.R. 5) to the Senate floor for a vote and fully enshrine in federal law explicit protections for LGBTQIA+ people against discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation and gender identity.”

The bill passed the Democratically-controlled House last year, and it has nothing to do with equality, but everything to do with punishing Christians’ religious liberty.

Take action now by sending your U.S. senators a message to vote “no” on the Equality Act.

The Equality Act goes far beyond the recent and disastrous Supreme Court decision to add sexual orientation and gender identity as a civil right for employment purposes under Title VII. If the Senate were to pass Speaker Pelosi’s bill and President Trump signed it into law, it would unleash radical liberals to attack those whose faith teaches that marriage is only between one man and one woman and that sexual identity of male and female is a fixed, biological fact.

By government edict, business owners, employees, and customers alike will be subject to a radical LGBT agenda:

    • Female business owners, customers, and employees would be forced to share spaces in restrooms and dressing rooms with men who claim to be women.
    • Women’s sports would be forced to open up to the participation of men who claim to be women.
    • Health care providers and professionals would be forced to perform gender transition procedures (sex changes) and provide medical services (hormone therapy) that would violate their moral and religious convictions.
    • Adoption and foster care agencies will be forced to place children into same sex households and into homes of individuals suffering from gender confusion.
    • College and professional sports stadiums would be required to open its restrooms to either sex.

The Democratic Party has clearly laid out its intent to force Christians to submit to radical sexual deviancy. The Party’s platform states, “We support a progressive vision of religious freedom that respects pluralism and rejects the misuse of religion to discriminate.”

The “progressive vision” of religious liberty for Democrats was made clear by Chai Feldblum, the former commissioner of the Obama administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Feldblum staked out the view of the Democratic Party when she said:

“I’m having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win… Sexual liberty should win in most cases. There can be a conflict between religious liberty and sexual liberty, but in almost all cases the sexual liberty should win because that’s the only way that the dignity of gay people can be affirmed in any realistic manner.” (Emphasis added.)

Here’s a resource to learn more about the Equality Act and share with others.

Take action now by sending your U.S. senators a message to vote “no” on the Equality Act.

    Petition – America V Gaystapo!

No need for comment on my part. This petition is for every American who cares for freedom.
Defeating the grossly misnamed Equality Act (HR 5/S. 788) is our top legislative priority. The legislation is really the InEquality Act, since it gives special legal rights to the LGBT community while punishing people of faith who support marriage, religious liberty and the reality that gender is based on biology.

The fight to kill this terrible legislation is in the US Senate, and we need your help to prevail.

We have launched a critical nationwide petition asking Americans to add their name to the growing chorus of people to oppose this legislation. In just a short time, over 5,000 people have already signed on, but we need to significantly increase this number.  There are two things I’m asking you to do:

    1. If you haven’t already, please add your own name to the petition, letting key Senators and their top staff know that you join with many others to oppose this unfair, one-sided attack on marriage, gender and religious liberty.
    2. Please forward the petition to five other people and ask them to join you in adding their own name to the petition. You can use the sharing buttons below to send the petition on social media, or click here to forward via email.

    How bad is this legislation?

In a word, it is terrible. It makes demonstrating support for traditional marriage illegal discrimination against gays and lesbians. It imposes a radical gender ideology on the nation whereby gender is no longer based on biology but on an individual’s feelings of “identity.” It risks the privacy and safety of girls and women by allowing biological men into intimate areas reserved for females – such as showers, bathrooms and changing areas. It allows men to compete against women in athletics simply by declaring that they identify as a female. And worst of all, the bill strips Americans of their religious liberty rights to refuse participation in LGBT ceremonies and celebrations that violate their religious beliefs.

By signing our petition, you will put key US Senators on notice that you expect them to defeat the bill. These key US Senators and their staffs will receive an email in your name informing them of your views.

It’s critical that Senators hear from the grassroots that the InEquality Act must be defeated. Already, there are 46 co-sponsors of the legislation in the Senate including Republican Susan Collins. Absent a strong push, other Republicans may also come on board to curry favor with LGBT donors and activists.

There has never been a more pernicious, damaging legislative attack on us and our values. That’s why, in addition to signing the petition and asking five other people to do the same, I am also asking if you would consider making an emergency financial contribution to NOM to help us defeat the InEquality Act. Thanks to some generous supporters, your donation to help defeat this bill will be matched dollar for dollar, instantly doubling the impact of your gift!

Will you step forward with an emergency financial contribution knowing that your support will immediately double?

The funds we receive from this appeal will help us mount an all-out effort to defeat this legislation including running nationwide digital ads, expanding the website we created to oppose the bill, educating and engaging Americans on social media about this terrible legislation, and significantly expanding the number of people who sign our petition.

But whether you are in a position to donate to the effort or not, it’s critical that every NOM supporter act today to sign the petition themselves, and to ask five other people to do the same.  That is the most important and effective way of spreading the word to more people.

This is going to be the most difficult, heated legislative fight we’ve ever waged. If we all work together, I am confident that this legislation can killed. It’s up to us, though.

Please sign our petition today, and ask five other people to do the same thing. And if you are in a position to help financially, your donation of any amount will be matched dollar for dollar.

That ‘Equality’ Act is a real threat to freedom. Everything the AFA says above is true and it must be resisted.
Pass the petition on to everyone and ask them to sign. Not to act is as bad as supporting the enemy.

It might be helpful for real conservatives in the US to consult with real conservatives in the UK on the best ways to deselect unfit legislators.
Americans have primaries, and their results are not usually overturnable. British deselection is less effective because the Conservative Party HQ sees party democracy as a bad thing.
