‘Bitter Harvest – Red Evil Exposed- And A Lugenpresse Reminder!

With a sudden gap in my social life last month (now fortunately filling up again) I went out and bought a bunch of DVDs –  then my dvd-player died, after ten years of sterling service!.

So it’s only this week I have had the opportunity to sit back of an evening and see if my choices were wise.

    Hasil gambar untuk holodomor film

And what a good decision I made when I selected ‘Bitter Harvest,’ a quick pick, made at random, based largely on a cover that promised an action-packed movie.

It’s the story of one village’s nightmare, but reflects the reality of what happened in Ukraine in the 1930s, when true communism was put into practice, a reign of horror, known still as the Holodomor.

It was a deliberate genocidal war of starvation waged against the people of that long subjugated nation, which claimed the lives of at least SEVEN MILLION innocent people.

No need to tell the story here.

If you know your modern history, you’ll know it already, or should!

If you are not especially into history, watch it anyway.

And while you’re doing so, consider the evil American journalist who collaborated in the cover-up.

It would not be unfair to think of him as the precursor of today’s Guardian, CNN, BBC, France24, etc., all the rotten media-creeps, like that heinous hag in Germany, Ina-Maria Reize-Wildemann, covering for crimmigrants…

God Save the Tsar – But To Hell With Censorship!

This cutie is raising hell in Russia.

    Natalia Poklonskaya httpsiytimgcomviAvn1tAHGxvMhqdefaultjpg
Her name’s Natalya Poklonskaya and she’s a member of the Duma, (parliament) there.
Interestingly, she’s banned from Canada and various other Western countries, under the sanctions currently in effect.

But her latest claim to fame is her display of loyalty to St. Nicholas.

Not Santa Claus, but one of the most famous victims of communist murder, Tsar Nicholas II…

….who, since Russia escaped the clammy clutches of Marxism, has not only been a symbol of a more glorious past, but also, thanks to the Orthodox Church, was made a saint, in recognition of his martyrdom at the hands of Lenin’s satanic minions in Ekaterinburg.

Nifty Natalya is to be praised for her monarchist fidelity, but I’m not so sure about her ways of expressing it.

She’s waging a political war against  “a controversial film centered on a love affair between the future Tsar Nicholas II and a young ballerina.” Russian Filmmakers Protest Attempts To ‘Censor’ Film About Young Tsar

The film is called ‘Matilda’ and its directed by some geezer named Aleksei Uchitel.

    • ==============

We who live in Indonesia have seen more than enough of film  – and TV – censorship. I’m not talking about the mind-blowing silliness of putting opaque clouds over cleavage etc. on TV.

Dimana Bokong2nya? – Where Are Our Buttocks?

More important by far is shameful sectarian intimidation – as when SCTV backed off showing a pro-tolerance film, because a bunch of IslamoNazi thugs showed up at their offices, threatening mayhem. https://rossrightangle.wordpress.com/2011/08/29/as-anger-mounts-over-sctvs-cowardice-islamonazis-widen-the-net-well-attack-at-all-costs/

Much of the weirdest censorship here in Indonesia is caused by religion…

‘Noah’ Banned – Who’s Next? State Censors or Sectarian Enforcers?

…or rather not religion but religious intolerance. We weren’t permitted to watch ‘Noah,’ the state censors failing to provide any rational explanation for the ban.

Unfortunately, the backward ‘Blasphemy Law’ here facilitates this sort of sorry censorship.

Hence my dismay when I learned that Russia too has benighted laws of that sort.

Nifty Nat ‘wants Moscow prosecutors to declare that Uchitel’s film violates provisions in Russia’s Criminal Code against insulting “the religious feelings of believers.”

Russian law can be superior to that of many Western countries, to be fair. They have, for example, legislation not unlike that good old UK Clause 28 ( now excised from the British statute book, alas) which is aimed at protecting Russian school-children from gaystapo indoctrination.

    Good for Russia!

But why on EARTH should ‘religious feelings’ be protected by law from insult?

Were that the case in France, for instance, then the jihadist scum who carried out the massacre at Charlie Hebdo, not that long ago…

…could have stayed home, happily raping captive girls – or boys – and just left it to French prosecutors to silence free speech.

Poklonskaya also charges that Uchitel wrongly portrays Russia as a country full of “drunkards, gallows, and fornicators.

I’ve been to Russia. The people are mostly just like us. And just like us, there are drunkards and fornicators among them.

    Big deal!

‘Twould be a duller world without them!

As for gallows, that’s something else where Russia has the edge on the West.

Sensibly, traitors – like the pig-ignoramuses who went off from the UK, France, Belgium, Germany etc., to join the ISIS rape-gang and declared allegiance to that caliphate, would stand a good chance of being put to death if Russia caught up with them.

Pity Western countries don’t do the same!

    RIP John Hurt

No idea what his politics were but his talent transcended such things.

My personal favourite film of his was ‘Scandal,’ based on the Profumo Affair, the shocking episode which took up most of the summer of 1963.

I was in Canada for much of that time, and watched the news with my Ontario farming kin. They found it hard to believe that their beloved ‘Old Country’ could have got itself into such a mess.

John Hurt as Stephen Ward, with Joanne Whalley as Christine Keeler, in Scandal (1989)

The 1989 movie did a masterful job of depicting the peculiar atmosphere of that era.

The Sixties saw the eclipse of self-confidence among the UK ‘Establishment,’ which had hitherto been on the side of a traditional Britain, but which thereafter ceded ground – or sold out – to people with very different values, or with none.

And a lot of good that’s done The Old Country.

But Hurt captured the essence of the era, his character, who was always dubbed a ‘society osteopath,’ a parasite vaguely aware of what really mattered but gliding heedlessly through life towards self-destruction.

    • John Hurt perfectly played Dr. Stephen Ward, who battened onto people who saw power and celebrity as ends in themselves, not as a means by which to serve their country.
    • In the end, we in the audience tended to sympathise more with the Ward character than with anyone else.
    • That was down to Hurt’s thespian gifts.

    Another Good Little Brexit Movie!

It’s not only conservatives like me that object to the EUSSR.

There are a lot of people who’d be upset if you didn’t call them radical or even Left who still understand the meaning of the word ‘FREEDOM.’

The Labour Party, for example, used to be pro-British, and a few sturdy survivors of that time can still be found…

More Good Reasons To LEAVE – Lousy Lard-Ass Moore!

Just up, making ready to go out, and unwisely, for my equilibrium, left the tv at EuroNews.

Hence I had to listen – can’t bear to watch that gross  – and grossly unpatriotic – scruff-bag ‘American’ multi-millionaire Michael Moore…

…telling us he can’t understand why Brits would vote to Leave EU.

I append a link to a more detailed news report Britain ‘toxic’ for considering leaving EU, says film maker Michael Moore  in which the swine unburdens himself of useful insights in British politics.

“It’s incredible. When I saw that the party here had elected Corbyn, ‘I thought ‘wow’. Talk about atonement for Blair.

“That’s getting back to Labour in its roots.”

The pinko rat is wandering about Europe touting his latest drivel film, but is – HURRAY! -skipping Britain.

“It was a conscious and purposeful decision to not go to the UK, with all due respect. We didn’t feel there was anything left to learn here, and you have given up on yourselves to such a degree.”

    june 23

    • Well, we shall see on June 23rd how many Brits have given up on themselves.

This man is rotten to the core. I offer a few previous posts, to remind you just how rotten.

Loathesome Lard-Ass Michael Moore Slurs Snipers – Ho-Hum!

That one sums up his contempt for anyone who fights sectarian terror. But this one…

Mendacious Michael Moore and the Heroic ‘Wimps’ He Slandered

…reminds us of how he simply hates those who fight for their country’s freedom.

    Hence his antipathy towards Brexit.

Prenjak in Cannes! Congratulations, Wrega from Jogja!

How nice to see that a young Indonesian director has won a prize at the Cannes Film Festival!

And Wregas Bhanutedja’s winning entry, Prenjak/In The Year of the Monkey,  sounds a lot more fun than a lot of the stuff screened there – and certainly must be better than that prat Penn’s well-jeered ‘block-buster.’

Har-Har-Har! Pinko Penn, Panned in Cannes!

I note that Wregas is from Jogjakarta, but the plot will strike a chord with many of us who live here in Jakarta.

The 12-minute short movie centers around widow Diah, who offers a single matchstick for Rp 10,000 ( 73 US cents ) to a man named Jarwo during her lunch break at work.

At the same time, Diah offers a more interesting deal, in which Jarwo would have the opportunity to take a peek at Diah’s body by lighting up the match in a dark place.

    Quite so.

    Yoho, Jarwo!

I have often said that one of the joys of living here is that when you wake up each morning you never know WHAT the hell is going to happen in the course of your day!

And for sure, going just about anywhere to sit down for a bite to eat, in a humble warung or a mall food court, can result in all kinds of unexpected adventures.

Must find somewhere to watch this.

Oh, and I gather this other film from Cannes, First look at explosive Hillary documentary, ‘Clinton Cash  would be an eye-opener for those who think the Clinton clique is any better than some of those Indonesian politicians whose greed for power and money lands them in hot water here.

TD Bank never engaged Bill Clinton to speak during his first eight years out of the White House. But in 2009, four days after Hillary was nominated as secretary of state, Bill made the first of a string of speeches for which TD paid almost $2 million.

    An astounding amount.

    • And guess what? TD Bank was the single largest shareholder in the Keystone XL pipeline, which required State Department approval. Lo and behold, Hillary Clinton decided to support the pipeline — a heresy to environmentalists…

Typical Clinton caper. But the film evidently covers many more, all much more alarming than a chance meeting with a strange lady selling matches in a Jakarta eatery!

Mind you, any such vendors would need to be very wary about approaching William the Cigar-Man with their wares.

So true, Ross, what you say about life in Jakarta.
We could all tell some tales about what happens if you sit down in a foodcourt or even just go for a walk around some of those malls.
I must admit that nobody has ever tried to sell me a match. Everything else yes, but no matches.

    Child 44 – A Brilliant Movie!

Every so often you pick up a dvd and find a gem.

That’s what happened with ‘Child 44’ and I’m recommending it strongly.

Ever wonder what became of that Red Army soldier photographed atop the Reichstag in 1945?

This British film, released in April this year, directed by Daniel Espinosa, purports to take up his tale once he’s back in Moscow, an honoured hero, of course…

until he realises that Communism and justice go together like dung and peaches. Stalin’s USSR believes that ‘there is no such thing as murder in paradise,‘ an assertion somewhat hard to swallow given Stalin’s deliberate murder of millions, not least in the Holodomor, the red famine perpetrated on the Ukraine/

But though the context is clear, it’s not a political film as such, but a great yarn – the good guy, Demidova ( Tom Hardy) won’t let up on his search for a serial killer, though it costs him dear.

Reduced in rank and sent off to a backwater with his wife Raisa (Noomi Rapace) he enlists the support of his new commander (Gary Oldman)

Despite the determined efforts of a particularly mean commie officer (Joel Kinnaman) in Moscow, Demidova presses on, and ultimately triumphs, to the extent any kind of justice can triumph in a marxist society.

I haven’t enjoyed a movie as much for quite some time.

Don’t know if it’s on in Jakarta, but for sure you’ll find a dvd somewhere.

Sharkansas Women’s Prison Massacre – A Tsunami of Cleavage!

My visitor having departed, I am left to make the most of tv tonight, as there’s not much doing downtown, though tomorrow I gotta get out and about – Ramadan was not an exciting month.

But unlike during the Festive Season back in The Old Country, tv here does not delight the populace with a galaxy of good movies. Today, for instance, I tuned into  cable channel called Syfy, and was amazed and intrigued by a film called –

To say it is less than cerebrally stimulating would be the opposite of hyperbole, but if you can come to terms with the realistic plot, whereby a gigantic primeval shark,  released from a subterranean ocean by fracking, terrorises a group of escaped women convicts in an Arkansas swamp, it’s not at all bad, and given the time of year, a welcome aurat treat!.

    Lucky old guards!

The allure of the innovative prison uniforms – low-cut tops and tiny shorts, as shown above – does tend to distract one from the meaningful ecological message, but throughout the 90-odd minutes, there’s always the thrill of imagining the multiple outrage attacks among the Indonesian Board of Censors as the prisoners find novel excuses to bend forward towards the camera.

Google has plenty of links by which you can download it.

    Here’s one of them. http://horrorpedia.com/2014/07/10/sharkansas-womens-prison-massacre/

Enemy Within Captures Another US Campus

Four undesirable louts at Eastern Michigan University perfectly displayed their contempt for American values last week, by preventing students enjoyment of a great American movie.

The Enemy Within quartet were arrested when they disrupted the on-campus screening of American Sniper, but ludicrously, instead of being expelled from university, they were released without charge!

Their sectarian celluloid jihad was then further rewarded by the cancellation of the scheduled second showing of the Clint Eastwood hit film! EMU’s excuses are available on the two links at the end of this post.

    They’re SO pusillanimous.

    • ————

As we have noted before  it’s not only a very watchable war movie but intensely patriotic. That’s why Un-American brats like  Ahmed Abbas, Layali Alsadah, Jenna Hamed, and Sabreen Dari hate it.

    I loved it!

My Wallow In The Swamp of Moral Depravity!

The point of course is that –

A  –  they’re entitled to hate it. Nobody would dream of forcing them to watch their scumbag heroes being taken out by a fine marksman serving his country well.

B – they’re also entitled to seek peacefully to persuade other people not to watch it. They are at liberty to whine tearfully that it shows enemies of civilsation being put down.

Given the quality of many USA college administrators, they might find that approach achieves their censorship demands most adequately. EMU caved – there’s an email address to tell them what you think of their appeasement of IslamoNazi hooliganism-

Want to give EMU President Susan Martin a piece of your mind? You can do so at 734.487.2211, or via email HERE.

This is hardly a unique case. Missouri – Bigot Bint Demands Campus Censorship!

What these toe-rages are NOT entitled to do is disrupt the free choice of dozens of other students who for whatever reason opted to watch it.

By doing so, they have demonstrated that they are unfit to be in higher education. Special needs schools might be more appropriate.

And they are clearly better off living in the sort of cess-pool country where jihadist terror is glorified.

    out with them

Expulsion from both EMU and the USA would be a most commendable course of action.
