Good grief!
Only yesterday, we went through a quick intro, Media Bias 101…
.

..
…referencing BBC Willcox’s use of the word ‘detoxified’ –
– which can only properly be applied to somebody or something tbat is ‘toxic’ meaning ‘poisonous.’
Now here we go again with Anna Holligan, BBC’s intrepid…

Anna Holligan
…
.’…foreign correspondent’ who was on today, using the same biased terminology about Marine…
.

.
….as her older male UK Pravda comrade used yesterday.
“…Working so hard not just to detoxify her image..”
That was yesterday, at 2pm. Jakarta time.
I almost wish she hadn’t, because she is not ugly, like Maitlis….
.

….or Barnett…

…
…and certainly nothing like the hag Derbyshire!
…

……
…but we shouldn’t let her off scrutiny just because she has a pretty face.
So I go through the lesson again!
…
1a: to remove a harmful substance (such as a poison or toxin) or the effect of such from
b: to render (a harmful substance) harmless
2: to free (someone, such as a drug user or an alcoholic) from an intoxicating or an addictive substance in the body or from dependence on or addiction to such a substance
……
‘Detoxified‘ (‘slightly’ or otherwise) clearly is only applicable to somebody who has been previously ‘toxic.’ i.e. afflicted by poison!
Marine has been inspired…
( or perhaps ‘afflicted,’ in BBC-think! )
…by love of France, her determination to put the French first in their own land.
The media left may regard her views, and what she says, on immigration and sovereignty as wrong, or ill-founded…

( though I don’t, nor do millions of her fellow-citizens!)
….but for Willcox, or any reporter, to equate those views, on a ‘news’ programme, with poison, or a harmful drug, is outrageous.
Think about it.
If a person says an animal is deloused, that person is asserting unequivocally that previously the animal had lice.
If a person says a kettle is descaled, that person is asserting unequivocally that previously the kettle had scaling.
So if a person says Marine is working to ‘detoxify her image,’ that person is asserting that previously Marine’s image had been toxic.
Lice and scaling are physical descriptions of a tangible reality.
A toxic image is a personal impression.
Marine’s image may have been toxic in the eyes of the marxists, the liberals, the woke – but not in our eyes, nor, obviously, in her own.
She follows a bright star.
…
Is it deliberate, or is it unconscious left-bias?
