May BANS Media From Media Freedom Conference – Seriously!
May’s gag order…
… her ban on Russia-based media attending a conference in Britain next month – is just one more embarrassment she’s inflicted on the country she’s shamed so often.
RT, one of the latest victims of her cack-handed blame-game, can be infuriating, with the sympathetic coverage it gives to ghastly red regimes like Maduro’s in Venezuela.
I have vented my indignation on RT in the past…

Yet, at the same time, it has done what the BBC report claims it has been ‘attempting’ to do. – ‘position itself as an alternative to mainstream media outlets’ –

How dare the BBC quote that Ofcom insult?
What ‘range of voices’ do we get to hear on the UK state broadcaster?

.
Over and over again, we see the BBC invite ‘academics’ and ‘journalists’ into their studios to comment on issues of the day, bare-facedly covering up the fact that the guests are conscious, committed enemies of populist persons and conservative causes.

I read such a very good article today, and here’s its final paragraph.
‘It’s fine to protect terrorists’ privacy – but then you have no one to blame when they blow you up
Europe has not just to ask itself whether privacy in prisons is sacred.
‘But if it can abandon freedom of worship by banning religious schools and mosques that teach anti-Western ideologies. If it should target people and neighborhoods on the basis of race and religion. If migrants are to be accepted no-questions-asked, even if there are violent radicals among them.
‘If it must maintain the liberal justice system that saw Abdeslam and his friends getting only fines and months-long sentences for drug dealing and robberies, or the social security that gave him thousands of euro in benefits that he used to finance the purchase of guns and peroxide.
‘How much longer can Europe put off these questions, pretending that nothing has changed in its cozy little Old World?’
….
Can you imagine any of those idiots we see and hear on the BBC, ABC, CBC, or any state-funded media in Western Europe giving some member of its editorial team space to say all that?
Can you imagine any of their editorial teams even wanting to talk that kind of sense?
Unimaginable. The author is Igor Ogorodnev, of RT.
Read it all. The RT journalist speaks for all sane Europeans and North Americans.

Hi Noreen
It’s probably due to where I am, far from home.
I also had some insolent nonsense from Google when I was searching today, one of those ridiculous things which demands you identify how many of the tiny photos contains traffic lights, or stairs.
Give me till Wednesday, when I should be back in Jakarta.
