As Simple As ABC – Oz Media Bias Rampant!

Australia used to be called The Lucky Country, but in terms of tax-funded media bias, it’s as unlucky as the UK, where BBC Bias is appalling.

I unwisely tuned into ABC just after 12 noon (Jakarta time) today, and the ‘news’ included one of the “public broadcaster’s” flunkeys, Matt Doran, a little dork inclined to chubbiness, talking about Big Tech censorship.

    =

ABC reporter Matt Doran's hilarious tweet at teasers of his baby-face

    .

Dorky Doran draws his salary from the public purse, but that certainly, clearly, does not make him feel obliged to present issues impartially.

He first of all did the BBC thing, wittering about President Trump’s ‘unsubstantiated’ assertions about the recent flawed election…

    =

    =

…without mentioning that the US courts’ mostly, cravenly, refused to give the many distinguished plaintiffs any opportunity to present substantiating evidence.

Then he got onto the subject of Australian MPs whom his tax-funded bosses don’t like, in particular George Christensen, a good guy whose wise words we have heard before.

    =

    George Christensen

    =

That man has upset ABC and the other Left elements in Oz by dissenting from their chosen narrative. Dorky Doran could have said so, but obviously was unlikely to admit to bias.

Or he could have said simply that Christensen posted or published controversial views.

    =

    NOT A CHANCE!

Instead the bigoted little left hack used the most pejorative verbs his narrow mind could come up with.

The patriotic MP had been ‘peddling’ views, had been ‘jumping on the bandwagon,’ and had been ‘spouting’ opinions that don’t fit the ABC’s ideological hang-ups.

Pathetic, prejudiced abuse of ABC’s position, flagrant disregard of ABC’s duty to give Australians news without a partisan slant.

As I was tidying up my notes, the ‘news’ moved on, to let a rabid left American professor make the Media-Democrat case for banning Trump from public life, the pinko prof allowed to rant unchallenged by anyone who disagrees.

He was a rasping fanatic, who –  without substantiating evidence – accused Trump of ‘instigating’ the trouble, and unidentified persons in Washington DC of ‘killing’ people…

…when the most we know for sure is that it was an out-of-control police bullet that killed Ashli Babbitt, a patriotic Trump supporter.

    ABC is a damned disgrace.

    And has been for years.

Hey Ross. I read this then changed channels to see for myself. The hourly news I saw began this part with the ABC woman saying Australian politicians had ‘picked a fight’ with the Big Media censors.
So now if you object to suppression of free speech, it’s ‘picking a fight? ‘
      As far left as CNN!.

I feel sorry for the Australian tax-payers getting such a bad deal from all the money they are forced to invest in ‘their’ ABC.
At the same time there’s a strange sense of relief to know that BBC is not the only state broadcaster that’s been taken over by the Left.

Sorry, Barnaby Joyce – Appeasement Is No Argument!

A narrow defeat for common sense in Australia, where federal conference of the National Party voted by 55-51 not to support a burqa ban.

    =

    =

Although George Christensen MP pointed out the obvious security risks of allowing head-shrouded undesirables to roam about ‘in government buildings and other public spaces,

It seems the delegates in Canberra preferred to follow their party leader, Barnaby Joyce, whom, in the past, I have defended, when he was insulted by that hideous ABC leftist Triola…

Just Asking- Does Red Vixen Trioli Yet Leech Off ABC’s Public Purse?

    Virginia Trioli

    ===

…but henceforth I may be reluctant to take up bloggy cudgels on his behalf.

I quote the Deputy Prime Minister’s deeply principled ‘hands-off-the-bag-heads’ argument.

    =

    ====

Barnaby Joyce says banning the burka could damage Australia’s trade relations with Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia And Indonesia..

I’m tempted to observe that it’s a bit offensive to bracket Indonesia  (where I’ve lived happily for nearly two decades, and where perhaps 1 or 2% of women wear the revolting head-gear) with an absolute sectarian monarchy where women are such second-class citizens that, last I heard, they’re not allowed to drive a car!

So Saudi Women CAN Look Like Women!?!

    But let’s move on.

Since when do Australians tailor their domestic laws and customs to keep in with foreign countries?

If Joyce had come out openly saying he thinks that shariah sexism is just jim-dandy…

    =

    =

…I’d be disgusted, but somehow muster a modicum of respect for his candour.

But he doesn’t say that. He’s quoted in another newspaper as opposing a ban ‘despite disliking the burqa.’

So for Barnaby it’s not about security or about rescuing women from a barbaric dress-code, but merely a matter of dollars and cents?

One is obliged to ask just how low Australia’s Deputy PM is prepared to sink to appease Saudi Arabia.

Please note the Saudis have a bad record of arrogant intrusion into the internal affairs of more civilised countries.

    =

    =

Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries accused Norway of doing too little to protect its Muslim minority, with Saudi Arabia calling for all criticism of religions or their prophets to be made illegal.

    What next, Barnaby?

You got it right. We should ban the head-bag.
If they want to wear it indoors, it’s up to them, but not outdoors where it’s an insult to every Australian principle.
The same security principle should be used to prohibit Antifa masks too.

Before this Barnaby Joyce was a sensible man, I always thought, but now I am having a re-think.
I feel sorry for those women in Arabia but I don’t see how we can do anything for them.
So why should Australia worry what they think about our country?

Unless he’s saying both countries allow women a free choice on burka-wearing?

I have seen tonight that one of these savages attacked a Berlin shop assistant for selling lingerie.
Police will have difficulty in finding her because her head was covered. http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/09/07/niqab-clad-woman-assaults-saleswoman-lingerie-islamic-headscarves/
The burka wearers are as you often say primitives and should get no home among Europeans.
