NZ’s Pinko Princess, Cowering From Cannabis Candour?

One is naturally ill-disposed towards a woman like Ms. Ardern…

    .

A close shot of a woman's head as she speaks at a press conferenceoooooo

….the NZ PM who used the awful gun violence at Christchurch…

Going To Church? Think About This!

“In the same week as the awful attack on the mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand… more than two hundred Christians were killed in Nigeria.
    ….

….as an excuse disproportionately to hammer legitimate Kiwi fire-arms owners, and also, ludicrously, donned a headscarf…

Mogherini, Just Like Julie Bishop, Betrays Iran’s Women!

    =

While she shakes the hands of these men, she thinks of the nine-year-old girls who are “legally” forced into marriage with the consent of the government?

    https://de.gatestoneinstitute.org/10912/feministinnen-dschihadisten

….the badge of sexist sectarianism, reducing herself to the level of Mogherini and Bishop, two other women oblivious to Islamist persecution of any Muslim female, young or old, who takes a stand against oppressive head-scarfing.

But at least those actions were fairly blatant declarations of where she stands on the ideological spectrum.

Not so her contemptible cowardice on drugs.

New Zealanders are, this month, due to vote in a national referendum on cannabis.

(Funny how countries can get referenda on cannabis but not about multicult, or immigration, or capital punishment, yeah?)

    .

But Ardern is scared to tell the electorate which way she plans to vote!

I’ve never heard of a talk-show host there named Duncan Garner, but on this issue at least, he was certainly on the ball when he called Ardern’s weaselly stance ‘a pathetic cop-out from the Prime Minister..

…It was her Government who put this on the country’s agenda, it was her call and then she comes on this program and won’t tell us what her view is.

    “You’re a leader – have a view and grow some balls…”

I wasn’t going to waste time on Ardern’s mealy-mouthing, but then saw that a Mr. Dogg, from the USA, had decided to stick his nose in.

    .

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119

So if an American ‘rapper’ may intrude, telling Kiwis how to vote, why not a humble blogger?

PS – I wrote all that ages ago, but did not rush to publish, giving Ardern time to reconsider her arrogant recalcitrance.

Now, however, as the vote draws nigh, more and more New Zealanders are becoming indignant, challenging her spurious arguments, as with this Kiwi commentator, who is not in any way aligned with the causes I usually support.

On cannabis she makes three arguments: It is a conscience issue for the Labour Party so it would be inappropriate for her to have a public view as leader, it would be inappropriate for her to have a public view given the Government is running the referendum, and that she is entitled to the privacy of her vote.

None of these hold up to scrutiny. Abortion is also a conscience issue for the Labour Party but Ardern made her views on that well known.

The Government is no longer running the referendum in any meaningful way, the Electoral Commission is. And as the most important politician in the country, she doesn’t really get to have political privacy.

Her life is her own, but her political views should be public property.

After all, we know what party she will be voting for.

What Are We Fighting For? Islamist Hate In ‘Liberated’ Iraq!

A very good article by Claire Evans of International Christian Concern has just been published.

    =

    brainwashing

    ===

The report describes how the new Ministry of Education curriculum there has been condemned by Iraq’s Christian leadership for ‘inaccurate, inappropriate and offensive statements that incite hatred and division…’

    http://www.aina.org/news/20190117193908.htm

Reading on, I was moved to recall a horrible leftist song, by Country Joe and The Fish, brought out during the Vietnam Wart, and ask the same question those pinko nitwits asked – but this time, coherently, in respect of the continuing conflict in the Middle East…

    ======

    ===================

Chaldean Church leader Cardinal Sako points out several glaring examples of ignorant sectarian prejudice, notably the moronic assertion in textbooks for elementary-age children that “the woman who is not covered (veiled) is sick.”

    =

Image result for cardinal raphael sako

The Cardinal says about Iraq what I have often said about Indonesia.

“There are a lot of uncovered Muslim women. But they have good ethics and behave in a proper way and vice versa…”

I notice we have some new readers joining us, so I suppose it won’t go amiss to remind you that many civilised Muslims dissent strongly from the nitwit notion that women of their creed should be bullied into shariah dress codes by benighted male family members.

‘Fathers and Husbands..Their aurat are your responsibility!’

And for further reading, look at these previous posts.

It’s always important that we recognise that many, many Muslims hold civilised views, strikingly different from the sexist and sectarian nonsense exemplified by one notorious Jakarta fanatic…

IslamoNazi Gauleiter – “Women Already Have Limitations, Let Alone Non-Muslims!”

AND that while non-Muslims are undoubtedly and rightly offended by outrageously intolerant statements like that in the Iraqi curriculum, Muslim girls are also the victims, quite possibly a life-sentence.

Not all young ladies have the courage and sense of self-respect…

In Canada, Will Saudi Damsel Face Risk Of More Distress?

Memo To USAF – Neither Beards Nor Scarves Required Of Muslims!

    Poor Sergeant Gaitan!

He’s a United States Air Force man, an apostate who converted to Islam, granted a ‘religious waiver permitting a beard…’ a privilege which the USAF apparently gave him because they think beards are obligatory for Muslims.

    Poor deluded USAF!

    ====

Here’s a photo of the two 2019 presidential candidates here in Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim majority country.

    ——

Both Prabowo and Jokowi would be outraged if anyone suggested they were not serious about their adherence to the Muslim faith.

They are diligent about attending mosque prayers and both are courting the Muslim vote, as noted here in recent months.

Please examine their chins very carefully.

    NO BEARD!

There are numerous Muslims in Jakarta who do sport beards. I don’t do head-counts on my frequent bus journeys round town, but it’s safe to say bearded men are a minority.

So what’s happened is that the USAF has allowed Gaitan a privilege that is not a rule decreed by his creed but by his personal interpretation of certain sectarian diktats.

Same goes for the head-scarf shrills, but we have covered that before.

Fiery Islamists – ‘Head-Scarves NOT a Big Issue!’

Still, we have not yet reached the most appalling segment of this report, a rant that is bound to provoke ‘Islamophobia’ among Americans and patriotic people in many another country too.

Sergeant Gaitan has been targetted by an Un-American bigot, named Zahra Billoo, who turns out to be the ‘executive director of the San Francisco chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)’

    We know all about CAIR…

    Take Action To Curb CAIR

    …an abominable outfit.

The bigoted bint taunted the sergeant by saying that you can “now rock your Sunnah beard while bombing your Muslim brothers and sisters.”

That kind of stuff is what causes real resentment…

    ..

Zahra Billoo – a repeat lawfare whiner, she has ‘has filed lawsuits against the United States Department of Justice, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Southwest Airlines,’ so her CAIR website says, and unsurprisingly she’s “ a fellow with the American Leadership Forum’s Silicon Valley Chapter…”

…because such bilge very clearly suggests that sectarian solidarity ought to count for more than duty to one’s own country…

    792a6-outraged

…as if American Muslims should feel they have more in common with aliens of the same religion than with their own fellow-citizens, who of course are much more truly their ‘brothers and sisters,’ whatever their creed.

    treason

That supranation sectarian affiliation counts for more than national allegiance is a disgraceful notion.

Americans, or Brits, or anyone who thinks like that, should be advised to take a hike and take up residence in some jihadist dump overseas.

    Swiss Judges Rule Against Democracy!

    =====

So now we read that another court in another country has ruled democracy out of order.

    evil judge

The Swiss Supreme Court has interdicted a referendum in Valais Canton on the burqa issue, despite the Swiss People’s Party (SVP) having followed constitutional rules and gathered enough signatures (over 4,000) to give citizens a vote on ‘head coverings’ in schools.

    sharia

But it’s not just the court to blame – the SVP’s opponents in the cantonal legislature also rejected any right by the people to have a vote.

Every Swiss patriot should descend on the Federal Court headquarters to  show their solidarity with the voters of Valais…

    ..

What is most offensive about the ruling, and most disturbing, is that one of the reasons the high court gave for ruling against the people was ‘international law!’

No international statute should be permitted to supersede the rights of a sovereign nation.

    .

    Jackboot

No citizenry should be jackbooted out of their democratic rights because of some supranational convention!

Even less so when the court confuses a right to religious liberty with the ‘right’ to flaunt one’s ( or some parent’s! ) sectarianism.

    Listen to this.

.’..the Federal Supreme Court said that the wearing of headscarves indicated a religious conviction and that the Swiss constitution enshrines religious freedom.’

    OMG

We have been making the truth known time and again over the years, that there’s NO obligation on Muslim girls to cover either their hair or their faces!

It’s on the BBC! Bag-Head Bans Do Not Infringe Religious Liberty!

Fiery Islamists – ‘Head-Scarves NOT a Big Issue!’

    When will they ever learn?

The good news is that ‘another popular initiative calling for a nationwide ban on such garments is due to be voted on in a referendum.’

Unfortunately, there’s no date yet named for the national ballot…

    referndmlet peole vote

…but unless some Alpine version of Project Fear is unleashed against the electorate, it should be a clear victory over imported alien customs.

The report tells us that a poll a couple of years ago showed more than SEVENTY PER CENT will vote to approve a ban on face coverings.

    ‘Good for Jakarta’s Governor Ahok!’

This past weekend he met with 1700 school principals and warned them to stop coercing their female students into head-scarves.

It turns out he issued the same ban during his time as head of the district of Belitung in the Bangka Belitung province in 2006. In Belitung, “93 percent of the students are Muslim.”

…But you can’t force female children to wear headscarves. I won’t argue it theologically, but please don’t force children like that..”

Yes, bullying in schools, especially dogma-driven bullying by teachers, is unpleasant.

But Ahok could of course have argued it theologically had he chosen to. His evidence would be, for a start, the sights he sees as he goes around the 90% Muslim capital city which he governs.

Here in Jakarta, scarfing is alas more common than it was when I arrived in Indonesia many years ago.

    • jilbabless

But on any given day, on the buses and other public transport I use, it’s uncommon to see a majority of women hiding the lovely hair God gave them.

The exceptions are when I board a bus that originates from Tangerang, one of the satellite cities where the most backward Islamist elements hold sway.

    ———–

    Indonesia
Mayor imposes Islamic dress code on state workers

Jakarta (AsiaNews/SCMP) – The mayor of Tangerang, a suburb of Jakarta, ordered all public employees to cover their heads and respect Islamic dress code on Fridays.

Friday is the holy day for Muslims. Women will be asked to wear Islamic headscarves and long-sleeved shirts to cover their arms; men will have to wear Islamic loose-fitting shirts. The mayor’s spokesman, Achmad Chairuddin, told the Jakarta Post that “the new arrangement is a direct order from the mayor…Muslim dress reflects the municipality’s devout image.”

It’s on the BBC! Bag-Head Bans Do Not Infringe Religious Liberty!

Fiery Islamists – ‘Head-Scarves NOT a Big Issue!’

Then he added an encouraging anecdote from his days as head of local government in that distant island province….

“I don’t want [children to treat headscarves] like napkins. The second a student leaves the school ground and hop on her dad’s motorcycle she would take [the headscarf] off,” Ahok cited one example in Belitung.

…which goes to show that young people can and should make up their own minds, guided by caring parents.

The principle of school uniform has great merit, but not as a means of sectarian branding.

I heard echoes of Ottawa Brave Muslim Women and ‘Ottawa Hijab Day!’ when I read that the multiculters in Dundee recently set up a stall in the city centre and invited passers-by to wear the traditional Muslim veil and walk around for a bit before sharing their experience and opinions afterwards.

Evil Ayatollahs Diss Captive American Woman – Obama Silent?

I feel sorry for Iran’s women, but until the evil Ayatollah junta is overthrown, there’s not a lot we can do to restore the respect for women’s rights that country enjoyed before the fall of the Shah.

    ====================

    • ayatollah_ruhollah_khomeini-425px-004

    • But after last week’s ‘prisoner exchange,’ we know the backward brutes in Tehran will not hesitate to demean any Western women who fall into their sectarian hands – just like ISIS, they scruple not to impose their shariah ‘law’ on those who belong to other creeds.

For that reason, exemplified by what happened to that US Navy lady, I offer this appeal for our American readers. There are plenty of other reasons to protest too, described below.

    0000000000000000000000000000000

     ———

American sailors – on their knees – hands on their heads – enemy guns aimed at their vessel.

These images should shock and haunt any American.

This week, Iran captured and held 10 American navy personnel overnight. A female sailor was forced to wear a head covering (RRA emphasis and the Iranians confiscated American equipment.

Video of the arrest and captivity was used as propaganda on Iranian TV – with one Congressman characterizing the events as “Iran’s intentional attempt to humiliate America.”

These images may constitute a violation of Article 13 of the Geneva Convention (III) governing the treatment of prisoners, which would require Iran to protect prisoners against “insults and public curiosity.” That means not taking their photographs and distributing them around the world.

Iran’s leaders have not hidden their motives. The head of Iran’s army boasted they were teaching America a “lesson.” Another senior military commander bragged about making the American sailors “cry” – saying “I saw the weakness, cowardice, and fear of American soldiers myself.”

Can America stand for this treatment of her sailors?

Join us and call on Washington to fully investigate Iran’s treatment of the American sailors and for possible violations of the Geneva Convention.

Migrant Muslim Ban? How to Allay ‘Islamophobia!’

I read a week or two ago that Slovakia, a small country located in the very heart of Europe, is reportedly prepared to accept 200 ‘migrants,’ but only Christians. Since then, Finns have expressed similar noises.

Today, Australia’s Foreign Minister Julie Bishop was almost instantly subjected to whines about ‘discrimination’ after she dclared ‘a focus on assisting those persecuted ethnic and religious minorities who will have no home to return to when the conflict is over.

“So that includes Maronites, it includes Yazidis, there are Druze.”

Discrimination in favour of those most at risk is just plain good sense, and common decency. Christians and Yazidis have been evilly tormented by the Islamist rape-gang ISIS and deserve our sympathy.

    •

    • But we need to be forthright on the issue of ‘Islamophobia,’ a bogus word conjured up by the likes of CAIR, whose character we should all understand by now.

    Let’s listen to the Slovaks.

Bratislava officials claim Muslim refugees wouldn’t feel at home because the country has such a tiny Islamic population. Daily Mail Online.

I frankly find it unlikely that a lack of suitable places of worship is the real reason behind this policy. Muslims, after all, can and do pray anywhere.

Considerate Muslims, like my former colleague in London, find unobtrusive locations, like a small room in the office complex, whilst less considerate ones obstruct the public footway en masse, even highways, thus contributing to ‘Islamophobia.’. https://rossrightangle.wordpress.com/2011/08/04/jakarta-top-cop-slams-traff-islamic-jams/

    ============

    • slovakia
    • ======================
    • So I’d say this attitude on the part of the Slovaks is actually down to the failure of most clerics in Europe to do what I have often suggested as the best antidote to anti-Islamic feeling, namely use their pulpits to denounce several unacceptable attitudes rightly or wrongly imputed to Muslims.
    • birminghamosque mosque in England

First, at every Friday prayer session, all good clerics should begin their sermon with a clear-cut assertion that Muslims in the UK (or any country) may not elevate any imagined empathy with Muslims abroad either above, or on a par with, loyalty to Queen and Country.

    • Any such supranational allegiance is an affront and if held, should be cause for detention pending deportation.
    • ================
    • .

Secondly, the sermons should decree that, under no circumstances, should anyone in their audience think, never mind act, violently towards ‘apostates’ or ‘blasphemers.’

    Behead-Prophet

People in those categories are not bad. They simply hold different views about how to worship or not worship. Some ‘blasphemers’ may be rude, but in those cases, in a civilised country, civilised people do not behave like the rabid morons in the above photo. They ignore what might offend, or write a critical letter to their favourite newspaper.

    ————————-

Third, again at least once a week, it should be explained that polygamy is for primitives. Civilised people should not, and, where it’s illegal, may not, engage in multi-spouse relationships.

    =

    polygamy a backward polygamous brute

    =

Again, anyone who feels strongly, once a citizen, may propose to change the law, but of course only on the basis of sex equality, any reform conferring the right to more than one legal bed-mate to both men and women.

    ===========

Thirdly, on the same theme, responsible clerics should powerfully aver that men and women are not to be iniquitously treated. Already, in the UK, and elsewhere, we have heard rational Muslim input on this.

‘An Archaic Tribal Rag’ – Wise UK Muslim Imam Says ‘Ban the Burqa!’

It’s on the BBC! Bag-Head Bans Do Not Infringe Religious Liberty!

Fiery Islamists – ‘Head-Scarves NOT a Big Issue!’

If women are told to shroud their heads, men also should be instructed accordingly!

    ==========

Clerics should moreover speak out against any demand by fanatics to be above the law, and this is a topical matter, given what I read in the UK media last week, about certain people saying they should be excluded from the attentions of sniffer dogs.

POLICE sniffer dogs trained to spot terrorists at railway stations may no longer come into contact with Muslim passengers – after complaints that it is against the suspects’ religion.

    Sniffer dogs could be banned
A report for the Transport Department has raised the prospect that the animals should only touch passengers’ luggage because it is considered “more acceptable.”   http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/50071/Sniffer-dogs-offend-Muslims

There’s no excuse for permitting the infantile notion of ‘cultural sensitivity’ to trump public safety.

I honestly believe regular repetition of all the above in every house of worship (Muslim or otherwise ) would reassure host nations immensely.

Most, if not all, Western countries practise religious liberty. Decent Muslims can practise their religion happily, and fit in well, like these Ahmadiyah in the UK.

    • It’s when attempts are made to exalt alien and obnoxious customs – multicult – that trouble starts. Sane Muslims know this, and have said so, admirable Muslims like Tarek Fateh in Canada.

A Muslim Voice of Reason – Khadr May Return, IF………!!!!

Like Tarek Fateh, and, I reckon, the equally estimable American Muslim, Zuhdi Jasser…Witch-Hunt In America – Against A Muslim Patriot!  ...and the Muslims I count as friends, people I hang out with socially and frequently have here as house-guests, would find little fault with anything I’ve suggested.

Even here in 90% Muslim Indonesia, only a malignant minority would go along with that fanatic to whom I often refer.

IslamoNazi Gauleiter – “Women Already Have Limitations, Let Alone Non-Muslims!”

The more loudly that decent Muslims disown such drivel, the less ‘Islamophobia’ will appear.

Excellent arguments, but what about ‘taqiya,’
How do you know if they mean what they say?
I think you are too trusting, Ross, softened up by life in sunny tropics.

You cannot be faulted in your list of faults that need to be corrected by these people but do you honestly think any sermons along the lines you suggest would be done without a very visible tongue in cheek, “nudge-nudge, wink-wink, just fulfilling kafir commands, you know what the real message is?”

All the evidence we have seen and heard in Australia, from the top ‘establishment’ Islamic authorities down to the lowest Lakemba levels of jihadism, has shown us that they automatically object to Australia fighting against any Muslim country/army/organisation.
They DO put their ‘sectarian allegiance,’ as you correctly describe it, before loyalty to the country they claim to be part of.

I’m sure there are honourable Muslims in Australia whose first duty is to Australia, but they don’t seem to rise high in the groups that speak for their communitiy.

Beli Rumah Dapat Istri – ‘Buy House, Get Wife?’ C’mon, Lads!

Very late start today. Overslept after watching The Pyramid (good horror) last night, then rain kept me in – sunshine enough now to go forth.

But first, a fascinating local news item!

    whatever__i_love_indonesia_by_NOF_artherapy

    ——

I’m forever emailing old school and uni friends in the Old Country to come to Indonesia when they retire.

It’s paradisical, not least in terms of weather – only a nut would grow old arthritically in the icy-wet West when you can come here and sun-bathe most days.

But the other great bonus of life in the archipelago is the beauty of the women. Every time you go walkabout, it’s like touring a Miss World training camp.

Even if you don’t go walkabout, instead staying indoors to play with your computer, you might still find something like this ad

    ———————-

    •  BELI RUMAH DAPAT ISTRI: Ini Isi Rumah Janda Cantik Wina Lia

The house is priced at Rp 999 million….located in an area 527 square meters, it looks beautiful. In front of the house there is a garden and a terrace with a teak wooden swing seat.

But the key part, the possibly unique part, of the ad is the…

    buy house, get wife’

    part.

A powerfully appealing package deal, yeah? Seems this janda cantik (lovely single –janda can mean widow or divorcee here) has been unlucky in love!

    beli rumah wina lia_19g1rbb2d1raisr1o53sq4n84a

So far, surprisingly, this cute mother-of-two doesn’t seem to have got many takers.

“…no one has come seriously asking…,” says Wina Lia, who’s just 40 years old and lives in Jogjakarta.

Okay, the house ain’t cheap. The exchange rate is about Rp.10,000 to the dollar. Do the sums yourselves.

    ——————-

But look at the gorgeous girl!

Her ad has made the tv news here.http://teknologi.metrotvnews.com/read/2015/03/10/368812/ini-penampakan-pemilik-rumah-di-yogyakarta-yang-siap-nikah

Yet while Wina has a lot going for her – besides her good looks, she’s fluent in the Javanese language and runs a business, a salon! – there are aspects to make you think twice!

…she just wants a future husband who can direct and guide her in religion.. “Either bachelor or widower, important that he’s Muslim and can guide my family, especially getting me to wear the hijab..”  . http://www.suara.com/tekno/2015/03/11/062300/5-hal-yang-belum-anda-tahu-soal-wina-si-penjual-rumah-siap-nikah

Well, no problem what religion she follows, so long as she ain’t fanatical. But most Muslim gals here DO NOT wear those scarves of subjugation.

    • jilbabless
    • Wina is a delight as she is – why start shrouding her beautiful hair?
    • ——–
    • So don’t all rush today, lads! There are plenty more fish in the sea.

I think this is not so good.
I read in the other newspaper that she is not happy with the attention. So did she not order her property agent to make the advert like this?
It will only be trouble for her. Easier to find husband in normal ways.

      Good fun, Ross.
But more serious stuff in Canada.
Have you heard what the Turd is up to?
