    Ahoy, Antipodes! Now It’s ‘Climate’ “Asylum”-Seekers!

    I suppose it might be argued that I myself am a ‘climate’ refugee!

    After all, anyone who spent all of his school years and decades of his working life in either Canada or the UK, or anywhere in lands that border the North Atlantic, surely has grounds for seeking sunnier shores.

    I don’t know the statistics but strongly suspect it’s a fact that rheumatism and arthritis among senior cits is much more common on shores lashed by Atlantic rain and cities beset by sleet and snow for many months each year.

    So when I saw this headline, I paused.

    New Zealand Climate Refugee Takes His Asylum Case to Supreme Court

    ———————-

    A climate refugee in New Zealand has taken his fight for asylum to the Supreme Court…after overstaying the visahttp://au.ibtimes.com/new-zealand-climate-refugee-takes-his-asylum-case-supreme-court-1417227

    Well, not much of a refugee, if he came in on a visa (what kind? work? holiday?) then decided he liked NZ so much he suddenly felt a need for ‘asylum!’

    Honest folk would go home then apply properly. There’s nobody waiting to shoot him back there, is there?

    But skip that!

    I’ve never been to Kiribati, but if it has a climate like Toronto’s or London’s, I wouldn’t blame this geezer for heading south.

    But alas, he’s not basing his case on a human right to sun-bathe, which I’d say makes more sense than some of the so-called ‘human rights’ we hear about from that European Court, for instance.

    • No, nothing of that sort!

    Teitiota’s lawyer claims that his client is making a valid claim for asylum, as the effects of climate change entitle him to be a refugee. “Our argument is that he is being persecuted indirectly because of the inability of the industrialised world to ameliorate CO2 emissions! 3 News.

    Are all who dwell in Kiribati delightful, honest, civilised souls?

    I don’t know.

    One hopes so, because if this guy gets the nod, they’ll ALL be entitled to swamp NZ.

    And everyone else in the world, MILLIONS of people, dislocated by the hot seasons or the wet seasons…

    flood victims Jakarta flooding

    …like Jakarta’s at the moment (which of course the Climate Panic Crew will be attributing, at least in part, to ‘climate change,’ now that they’ve sneakily dropped the term ‘global warming’) will obviously have to be taken aboard the Good Ship Western Welfare.

    BeritaSatu’s Blatant Anti-Oz Bias

    ===========================

    It was yesterday evening here in Jakarta, and bitter anti-Oz ranting on display, on the Lippo Group business empire’s English-language broadcasting outpost, an Aussie shrill named Elaine Pearson saying ‘not all of Australia’s policies are necessarily bad!’

    crimmigration

    A friend to every country but her own!

    The rest of her yapping was pure ABC-style  pro-‘asylum’-seeker propaganda,  basically stabbing her own country in the back on the crimmigrant issue

    Yeah, hardly a surprise – she’s a little pinko from Human Rights Watch, and has been quoted elsewhere criticising  Tony Abbott because he repeatedly questioned why the attacker had received political asylum and welfare benefits in Australia.

    ===========================

    • ===========================
    • Pearson says these sensible words are a  “knee-jerk reaction.”

    But the so -called ‘interviewer’ was no better in his anti-Australian prejudice – ‘How can they get away with it?’  Bhimanto Suwastoyo squealed!

    As if Canberra’s deeds were a sin, or a crime, or anything except the proper duty of leaders to defend their native land!

    ==============================================

    • liberal-media-bias
    • ==========================
    • That in fact did get an honest reply – she had to admit that a ‘large’ part of  Oz supports the ban on  bludger-boats – but then explained/excused her fellow-citizens’ patriotism as ‘panic‘ thanks to the ‘media!’

    Oh, yeah, and she is SO smarter, sees right through the fog that blinds the rest of dimwit Australians!

    ———————–

    • elite arrogance-s
    • ================
    • Any serious journalist would have at once challenged Pearson’s brazen dissing of  her fellow-Aussies!

    NOT!

     I had previously imagined interviewers were meant to, if not grill their guests, at least avoid overt displays of engagement with guests’ partisan politics!

    NOT!

    Don’t take my word for it – here’s the link – Pearson is a disgrace, and Suwastoyo simply serves as a foil for her bile!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GriO2eN9U4M

    ========================

    Indonesia Highlights, the talk-show is called, but it only highlighted the left-lib tilt  we have come to expect from Lippo’s media gas-bags – remember this?

    Jakarta Globe Swallows It Whole – ‘Asylumer’ Sob Story, No Shred of Proof!

    PS – In general, Indonesians are NOT like Bhimanto Suwastoyo!

    United Nations Day? Scrap That Organised Hypocrisy!

    October 24th, United Nations Day!

    Let’s not be unreasonable.

    no-un

    Let civilised countries, like Canada, Australia, the UK, the USA (and of course others) give the UN two chances to show it isn’t an organised hypocrisy.

    —————-
    ONE – UN Decolonisation Committee.

    Remove the Falkland Islands from their agenda ( since 90% of Falklanders are happy to stay British)  from their agenda…

    Tibet_map Red China,the largest colonialist power in the world

    ———————–

    TWO- Human Rights Council

    Remove countries that are oblivious or hostile to human rights. For a start, Cuba, Red China, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam must be replaced by countries which, unlike them, afford their citizens basic democratic rights, viz. free elections and a free press.

    —–

    communism tyranny

    No free election has been held in China since 1949,  when the Communists took power; same goes for Cuba, 1959, and Vietnam, 1975, whilst Saudi Arabia is and always has been an absolute monarchy.

    It’s a sick joke that such tyrannies sit on any body concerned with human rights. if the UN does not remedy these anomalies, decent democracies should exit the UN, and pay not a penny more in dues.

    If that happened, the UN would be bankrupt inside a month.

    End of a loud-sounding nothing.
