    UK Pravda’s Ugly Under-Belly!

    Voices of the BBC... ‘

    That’s the heading above a bulky package of stuff ‘curated by leading academics..that shines a light on the hidden stories of broadcasting

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/historyofthebbc/bbc-100/100-voices/

    So I began to look through it, curious if the biggest BBC scandal…

    The same BBC which cast its charter to the winds by acting as Harold Wilson’s Pravda during the Rhodesian sell-out.

    .

    .

    Harold Wilson used the BBC World Service to promulgate false information about Ian Smith. A letter in the PRO from the Rhodesia Ministerial Committee to the Prime Minister advised that Ian Smith should be portrayed as a weak unreliable figure. Note that the BBC’s World Service, although fully financed by the government, is subject to the same “public service” conditions as the Home Services

    ….Another letter from the Commonwealth office dated 25th May 1967 refers to a request by the PM to be shown fresh guidance before it was sent to the BBC.

    The official said; “I am afraid this guidance has gone; in accordance with our usual practice it was given orally and confidentially to the Head of their African Service.

    It was suggested to the BBC, we should continue as in the past to make Mr Smith appear incapable of making up his own mind. He should be portrayed as evasive, weak and vacillating. Full agreement was reached with the BBC and the guidance has already been reflected in the content of broadcasts.”…-

    This campaign went on for two years. A letter from the BBC to the Civil Service asks for permission to discontinue the campaign because of staffing problems. The BBC man in charge, presumably responsible for continuously breaking his obligations under the Royal Charter, was being promoted.

    These letters are probably the only official documents available which prove without any doubt that the BBC has been used by the government of the day to broadcast government propaganda. Stop BBC Bias – BBC Charter Review

    Wrecked Zimbabwe-Rhodesia? Deserves Ceausescu's Fate!

    I heard the poor guy who leads the democratic Opposition in Zimbabwe today, telling Euronews at 9am, when I was newly up and about, that what had happened in his country was no change, just a changing of the guard.

    Quite so, and that was obvious from the get-go.

    Robert Mugabe was, and no doubt is, an evil marxist, trained in Red China…

    =

    Marxist Mugabe

    =

    …and while his successor may not call himself a Red, he too got his training in that totalitarian communist state.

    When Ian Smith led Rhodesia into change…

    ===

    …that promising partnership with Bishop Muzorewa, the new nation calling itself ‘Zimbabwe-Rhodesia, it was still one of the most, if not THE most, prosperous countries in Central Africa.

    Mugabe destroyed that prosperity.

    He unleashed gangs of thugs calling themselves ‘war veterans’ – aka killers and rapists…

    =

    =

    …who in turn unleashed terror, pillage and mayhem on the farmers who had created that prosperity, many of whom, like Smith himself, had rushed to join up when Britain needed them in World War II.

    It was one of Margaret Thatcher’s few errors, handing them over to savages, but a particularly dreadful one.

    The shambles today is down to Mugabe.

    Better by far he was dealt the same hand that Romania’s marxist tyrant got dealt.

    =

    Ceausescu had it coming.

    Instead, Mugabe gets a pension, and gets to keep all the sumptuous luxuries already ripped off from his people.

      Rhodesia was a paradise and it was lost thanks to Thatcher.

        Todd, you are right to blame Thatcher.
        She did a lot of good at home and abroad but she was so terribly wrong on Rhodesia.

      You are wrong in one thing. Mugabe was not trained in Red China. Worse, he was trained by the Jesuits, the old dope crowd.

        Thanks, Orion.
        I acknowledge your correction. I ‘mis-spoke'( modern for ‘erred!’) due to my misreading of the facts concerning his Beijing-involvement described in various media like DW China provided arms, training and its Maoist ideology to Robert Mugabe and his Zimbabwe African National Union, http://www.dw.com/en/zimbabwe-coup-chinas-influence-under-scrutiny/a-41407527 although I was aware he had spent youthful time with Jesuits.
        One of those priests, named O’Hare, was apparently an anti-British Sinn Fein type, clearly a bad influence on a young African, or young anyone!.

    Katty Kay – One Bare-Faced BBC Liar!

    I’ve been meaning to compose this post for some time, but this rainy arvo – yeah, Jakarta’s rainy season is coming round again…

    ===

    ==

    ==================

    …has left me with time on my hands as I wait for an evening visitor.

    Katty Kay.jpg

    K.K.

    If you ever watch that BBC World Channel, you must have heard Ms. Katty Kay, filmed as she struts around, braying the praises of her pay-masters.

    Actually, she doesn’t. She extols the BBC, but her fat salary comes from the pockets of the British people, who are forced to fund that next of biased vipers.

    =====

    =====

    The line that grates most harshly in her incantation is the totally dishonest claim that the BBC is the ‘ONLY’ media institution that ‘has never taken sides’ in any war, revolution or whatever.

    That was more or less true when the treacherous swine in Broadcasting House infamously declared themselves neutral when brave young Brits were laying down their lives for freedom.

    But NEVER?

     Every senior BBC mandarin and broadcaster MUST be aware of how their servile bias was exposed, how they very definitely DID ‘take sides’ against Rhodesia.

    We’ve published on that episode more than once.

    Will the BBC EVER Be Pro-British?

    But today we do so again.

    More than most, Comrade Kay, whose years of service to Pravda UK began in that once happy and prosperous African country, now a basket case and known as ‘Zimbabwe,’ HAS to be fully aware of how her shrill propaganda is mendacious.

    Brits need to demand her dismissal!

      Never trust the BBC!
      They do not serve the people whose money they live off. Their loyalties lie somewhere else.
      I would bet a king’s ransom that after that document was made public, they had reliably leftist staff go through all their archives to make sure similar documents exposing their betrayal of their duty to impartiality were carefully collected and shredded, or burned, or otherwise disposed of.

      I was watching the BBC world channel a little while ago and they were talking about how the BBC had been happy to help the war effort in WW2, as of course they should.

      However,they declared themselves neutral in the Falklands War. We have to deduce they thought the Nazis were bad but the Argentine, Galtieri’s junta, was not so bad.
      Their behaviour in the Rhodesian affair was exactly as you describe, outrageous.
      This Kay woman is just ignorant.
      Or is it dishonesty.
      I think the latter, like all those BBC leftists who use their power to load their talk-shows with invited guests they can trust to broadcast biased propaganda.

    I heard Enoch Powell speak, more than once. Back in 1968, I was one of thousands who marched in protest at his dismissal from the Shadow Cabinet by that effete organ-fiddler Heath.

    I once had the honour to shake his hand. That was after a meeting where I had asked him to leave the Tories and start a new party for patriots. I suppose we could have called it UKIP!

    enoch-powell-was-right-national-front-union-jack1 He was right, although not about everything.

    I also attended his memorial service at Westminster.

    It was therefore with no small degree of fury that I read of the attempt by some prattling mitred twat to smear his name with unsubstantiated allegations of ‘satanist sex activity.’

    I don’t expect much of the modern churches, as a rule. We had that rotten priest in Ulster, describing Gerry Adams as ‘a man sent by God.’ A murder-gang-leader? Who covered for a child-molestor?

    ================

    Terror Gang Leader Adams, Complicit in Child Molesting – ‘A Man Sent by God?’

    Yet the vile old swine who praised the fiend was not at once excommunicated. Nor was he denied his church’s funeral rites when he died and went to whichever fiery place awaited him.

    Neither is Adams excommunicated, which exposes the Catholic Church on the Emerald Isle as spiritually bankrupt, a moral midden.

    Nor is the Church of England notably more respectable, as long as it harbours dastards like that bishop who defamed a dead statesman, a man still idolised by millions.

    But I held my fire – it would not be long before the episcopal slander was rebutted by those with a wider circulation than I.

    Sure enough, Simon Heffer in the Mail has demolished the pusillanimous prelate’s smear-mongering, quite finely. If you have not read the rebuttal, there’s the link at the foot of our page. It’s top-notch.

    BBC-bias-alert

    And more, because, once again, the BBC is outed as an agency of leftist lies, though in this case they were so utterly mendacious that they had to issue a humiliating apology.

    In 1998, just after Enoch died, the BBC broadcast a programme in which they railed at Enoch for his hypocrisy. They said this scourge of mass immigration had visited the West Indies in 1953 to recruit black labour for the NHS.

    I was told of the story before the programme was broadcast and informed its researcher that Enoch had never been to the West Indies in his life. I was told, effectively, that I was lying, and it was broadcast.

    —————-

    The allegations are a monstrous lie. That the lie appears to have been retailed by a priest is beyond contempt, writes Simon Heffer

    A black clergywoman, then resident in London, talked at length of Enoch having recruited her as a nurse. The story was rubbish.

    Detailed investigation by the BBC complaints department found that the woman had been recruited after a visit to her island by Jack Profumo, not Enoch Powell at all, and the Corporation was forced to make a grovelling on-air apology in peak time. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3017219/SIMON-HEFFER-allegations-against-Enoch-Powell-monstrous-lie-contempt.html

    Yup!

    • I remember even back in 1964, they acted as suppliant handmaidens for Wilson’s propaganda war against Ian Smith in Rhodesia. The BBC cast its charter to the winds by acting as Harold Wilson’s Pravda during the Rhodesian sell-out.

    • So while I was impressed by an excellent article in  the about the BBC’s bigoted pro-alien bias, I was not in the least taken aback!
    • 431px-Bbc_broadcasting_house_front BBC HQ- A Citadel of Treason?
    • Sir Andrew Green, Chairman of Migrationwatch UK, begins with recounting how Nick Robinson, the BBC’s Political Editor, had admitted senior management of the BBC deliberately suppressed discussion on immigration in the early 2000s for fear of an extremely negative public reaction.

    =

    Stop Immigration

    =

    But within barely 24 hours began to back-track dramatically –  he had meant no more than previous admissions by senior staff that the BBC had been “slow on the immigration story…” http://www.conservativehome.com/platform/2014/01/sir-andrew-green-of-migrationwatch-the-sorry-story-of-the-bbc-and-immigration.html

    Sir Andrew says that from his own experience they were absurdly timorous,. using ridiculous, shifty expressions like “in-migration” instead of “immigration,” and suppressing shocking statistics like the 2005 figures which showed that net migration had risen by 65 per cent in one year.  This was not even mentioned on the BBC.

    =

    truththenewhatespeechcorrectspellinig

    =

    Unfortunately, belated semi-confessions like Robinson’s have not resulted in anything like an honest, or even more honest than before approach. Talking of a recent BBC programme, Sir Andrew notes that it  started with the ridiculous cliché that “we are a nation of immigrants”.  In 1901, only 1.5 percent of the population were foreign-born.

    =============

    BBC-bias-alert

    —————————-

    In just ten years from 2001 to 2011 the foreign-born population increased by nearly three million, bringing it to 13 percent.  The programme failed to appreciate that this massive acceleration of immigration is what lies at the heart of public concern.

    ======================================

    I won’t waste your time going through the whole piece, rather than let you read it for yourself. But one conclusion is damning.

    ————-

    Either there is extensive ignorance within the BBC about the basic parameters of the problem, or there was a deliberate decision that any such programme must trot out the usual “positive” genuflections towards immigration, with no suggestion of limits.  Either answer, or even a combination of the two, weakens the authority and, crucially, the credibility of the BBC.

    Time to clean out the pig-sty!

    Mark Thompson, Director General of the BBC admitted in 2010 “In the BBC I joined 30 years ago [as a production trainee, in 1979], there was, in much of current affairs, in terms of people’s personal politics, which were quite vocal, a massive bias to the left…”

    And it’s not changed much since then! It is probably incapable of reform, so just sell it off!
