    Indonesia Confronts Crisis, Sectarian Kill-Joys Carry On!

    In Sumatra, last week, the cops were busily ‘investigating’ an amateur comedy video which has got a pack of kill-joy uptights…

    .

    .

    ….in a terrible tizzy.

    Pretending to be possessed while singing the song ‘Aisha the Wife of The Prophet.’

    In the video, R Hidayat alias Aleh, who was arrested by a police officer, claimed that what he had made was only for fun and there was no intention of harassment..

    Now the lad is waiting to see if the cops’ investigation results in him doing time, after the kill-joys’ complaints!

    Indonesia is facing a fearsome health crisis, with the risk of major unrest.

    Indonesia – Cops Corral Class-War Hate-Gang!

    Have the cops up there got nothing better to do than bother a kid who was having a bit of fun!?

      Isn’t that in the same area they jailed a poor woman who complained about mosque noise?
      The police should tell the complainers to get a life.

    Islamist Fanatics Have It Easy In Merkel’s Germany!

    A pack of Islamist wannabes walked free from a German court last month.

    They were caught strutting about in Wuppertal, the arrogant bigots trying to bully decent Muslims into submission to shariah diktats.

    Not only gambling and pornography, but even MUSIC was on their backward no-no list..

    .

    Shariah Controlled Zone_thumb[1]

    .

    …which reminded me of the same sort of killjoy carry-on we have seen this month in East Java, where Blitar city has also banned live music performances and the sale of liquor in cafes, hotels and other entertainment spots…https://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2019/05/07/blitar-bans-quran-recitals-over-loud-speakers-aft

    ….but even that’s not as gloom-stricken as the sort of misery-guts misanthropism that continues all year round…

    .

    Aceh’s Mad Mullah – ‘Dancing is EVIL – It Involves Body Movements!’

    —————

    ….in the benighted Indonesian Province of Aceh.

    But let’s stick with the German scandal.

    ……..

    The brutes got off at a heàring in November two years ago, but thanks be, there’s a little more sense of responsibility further up the judicial ladder.

    The numbskull acquittal was thrown out by Germany’s constitutional court –  the district court had not examined the impact of the vigilantes’ actions on the public.

    Yet at the re-trial, where the bigots were convicted, all they got were fines!

    .

    funny-judge-2

    .

    No jail time for primitives who attempted an action-replay of the storm-troop era.

    People who like shariah should be told to go live in countries where they can freely enjoy it – although ‘free enjoyment of sharia’  is surely an oxymoronic phrase.

    Had the swine at least stood up in court and repudiated shariah, yes, perhaps an element of leniency might have been in order, but there  was no remorse reported – nor likely, given the depths of fanaticism that Salafism requires,

    Which brings me to the next revelation in the DW reoort.

    At the time of the “Shariah police” patrol, the men were led by Sven Lau, one of Germany’s most renowned Salafi preachers. He was himself sentenced in 2017 to a 5 1/2 year prison sentence after being convicted of “supporting a terrorist organization” in a separate case.

    Sure enough, that apostate cur was uncaged this month too.

    The judges seemed to think that Lousy Lau was no longer a menace to society, but again…

    …there are no quotes or any other indication that he has disowned even the most offensive parts of shariah.

    Had he denounced, urged all his fellow-fanatics to denounce, evil ideas, like harming converts, for example…

    .

    sharia

    .

    …or forcing women into burkas…

    burqa

    …then yes, such a service to the community, such a declaration of adherence to civilised values,  then an early release might, just might  – though for terror-linked offences, not really – have been worth contemplating.

    In the absence of an acceptable embrace of respectable beliefs, Lau, and every other Salafist, should be subject to indefinite internment.

      The Germans could restore their cities to how they were when the Wall came down.
      Not perfect but safe enough places to live and work in and recognizably German, they were enjoyable places to travel around for business or for vacations.
      I say ‘could’ because any repairs to German society would depend on a government ( and courts) that put German welfare before that of ‘refugees,’ many of them not civilized enough to feel even a little appreciation of what’s been done for them.

        We had crime before Merkel did this to us but now the new criminals are not scared of the police.
        If police act, the new criminals cry ‘racist’ and wait for Merkel and Greens and Left to say they must never be deported.

    Alexis Harus Ditutup? Terus Gimana Hotel2 Bintang Lima?

    The Alexis must be shut down? So how about Jakarta’s various 5-star hotels?

    That’s my response to the news last month that hit the headlines here, concerning a famous place in the north of the city which is said to be…

    ====

    ===

    …and I quote The Jakarta Globe’s quoted descripton –

    ‘A Dreamland for Men!’  – http://jakartaglobe.id/news/jakarta-administration-shuts-infamous-alexis-hotel/

    But I’ll stick with the Jakarta Post for the most part, on our brand new Governor,  Anies Baswedan’s refusal to extend the operation permit of Alexis Hotel in North Jakarta, an establishment he explicitly mentioned during his gubernatorial campaign, claiming that he had collected sufficient evidence that it hosts prostitution services.

    “We are firm. We don’t want Jakarta to become a city that allows prostitution to take place.”

    That’s interesting.

    Whatever the Alexis’ faults – and I’ve never been there – they are surely not unique. ANYONE who has been out for an evening in some of our international-standard five-star hotels ( I won’t say all of them, because I haven’t been to all of them!) must be fully aware that it’s not at all unusual to bump into the occasional kupu2 malam.

    =

    Kupu2 malam = Night butterflies!

    ========

    I met up with a former colleague a couple of weeks ago in one such splendiferous – and expensive – edifice and we had barely ordered a couple of ‘happy hour’ beers before a delightful lady approached us with an amiable but acquisitive gleam in her eye.

    =

    Hasil gambar untuk five star hotels

    ………

    “Hi!”

    I responded with my habitual courtesy but promptly assured her that we were retired teachers, not the affluent tourists or foreign businessmen who constituted much of the clientele.

    She, with equal courtesy, and promptitude, took her leave of us and went off in search of more acceptable prey.

    =

    =====

    I’m sure she advised her colleagues/rivals because although there were quite a few similarly sultry sorts on the prowl, they none of them showed interest in us thereafter.

    I can think of at least three of four other grand hotels in the city where I’ve encountered these kinds of slightly avaricious but ever-charming slinkies, operating openly and regularly.

    I won’t name them, because I do not wish to be sued –  certain types of business persons here are as litigious as certain types of Americans! – but any male expat who goes out at night will surely confirm my veracity.

    Hence my headlined question – how about the 5-stars?

    Maybe Governor Anies Baswedan has never entered their bars after dark? Is he truly unaware of what goes on?

    Does he plan to refuse to extend their operating permits?

    =

    Gambar terkait

    =

    If some residents or some media tell him, will he seek to shut them down too?

    But that leads me to the rest of his statement, as reported in the JP.

    We have received reports and complaints from residents as well as media reports [about such a practice]…” Anies, however, refused to elaborate on what kind of evidence he had obtained.

    http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/10/30/anies-firm-to-close-down-alexis-hotel.html

    So another question – does Anies have any REAL evidence, like police reports, or is he set to order the Alexis’ closure purely on the basis of just some fretty residents and the ‘media?

    How come he won’t say?

    And that brings us to another question!

    Has HE ever been there, in the Dreamland of Men?

    =

    =

    Has HE taken the trouble to use his gubernatorial limousine to travel up to Ancol and have a look, one evening, at the denizens of the Alexis?

    Surely that’s the very least that fair play demands, since ‘the Alexis Hotel has not violated any regulations,  according to its legal representative…

    ==========

    Hasil gambar untuk innocent till proven guilty quotes

    =========

    …and please note – the refusal to extend the hotel’s operation permit came after media stories regarding banned activities at the hotel, such as the hotel offering massage services.   http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/10/31/alexis-hotel-wants-solution-to-keep-operating.html

    MASSAGE SERVICES!?!

    If there’s nothing else on the charge sheet, could there yet be a happy ending?

    Oh, but let’s not forget that closing Alexis was one of newly-elected Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan’s campaign promises during the gubernatorial election earlier this year.

    SO if he goes ahead, and demonstrates consistency by treating Jakarta’s celebrated international hotels with the same zeal, he will be keeping his word to those who supported him.

    =

    Anies Baswedan wins a smile from FPI ‘grand imam,’ Habib Rizieq

    ========

    And let’s ALSO not forget some of those supporters, like the white-shirt vigilante gang, the self-styled Islam Defenders Front – the FPI!

    THEY will be beside themselves with glee.

    Even more so if the national parliament presses on with their prohibition law.

    ===

    Let’s wait and see!

    Before we start packing.

      I do not like how you think about many things but it is true that Anies should be fair
      If he must order the Alexis Hotel to close he must also close the Jakarta hotels used by rich foreign people if the prostitute work there too.
      It is so with alcohol also.
      The goverment will tell many place to stop selling strong drinks but will never stop it in five star hotel places because the rich tourist will never come back.
      There is no moral in how this is done, it is all about money.

    Jakarta’s Annual Intolerance Outbreak- Billiards Banned Too?

    First day of Ramadhan. I had my favourite visitor come to see me today, so only went out to Indomaret, for cigarettes.

    =

    =

    I see from Tempo.com that my gloomy expectations of the fasting month have indeed come to pass, with kill-joy restrictions on anywhere fun might be found in Jakarta.

    This annual intolerance – we may not enjoy ourselves so NONE of you will – will extend to six types of entertainments such as night club, spa, massage parlor, gambling, and night bar. The same goes for billiard spots.

    ====

    ===

    It’s bad enough that Muslim citizens into self-denial are thus insulted, the Jakarta City Government basically deeming them so weak-willed that  bureaucrats have to protect them from all need to exercise self-discipline.

    But there’s no justification at all for denying the hundreds of thousands of non-Muslim citizens ( and foreign residents )any access to entertainment. We are under no spiritual obligation to fast, so why make us suffer?

    The  Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency’s Jeje Nurjaman seems to feel no embarrassment in declaring that by this censorious sectarian decree…

    ===============

    • Gambar terkait

    =

    …these places will be forced to shut down one day before and throughout the Ramadan month, and one day after the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

    Okay, we express the same disappointment every year, and still the rank Islamist intolerance prevails. It’s a mean-spirited mind-set, so be it.

    But can their dogmatic approach at least accommodate a modicum of logic?

    Meanwhile, karaoke and other musical entertainment spots that provide pool tables are allowed to open from 8:30 p.m. to 01:30 a.m.

    Gambar terkait

    However, Jeje went on, billiard tables provided for customers of night clubs, discotheques, saunas, massage parlors, gambling centers and bars must be closed.

    So it’s not the game that’s affronting bigots but what might be going on in the immediate vicinity of the gaming tables?

    ==

    ==

    Listening to karaoke music is spiritually safer than dancing to disco music?

    Hmmm!

    For God’s Sake!

    And get this utterly nonsensical diktat.

    ….nightclubs that are not in the vicinity of residential areas, mosques or churches, schools, and hospitals, and are located in commercial areas, such as hotels, are allowed to be opened.

    So we can all rush to hotels to indulge in base self-indulgence of our sensual impulses, but may not do so if we might emerge  in the wee small hours near a HOSPITAL?

    Hey!

    =

    Gambar terkait

    ======

    Jakarta sidewalks are often poorly maintained, and if you’ve had a few beers, it’s entirely within the bounds of possibility that you could quite easy stumble and fall.

    ====

    ……….

    Proximity to a hospital should arguably be a prerequisite for anywhere that has intoxicating beverages among their attractions!

    And I won’t even bother to ask why churches are bracketed with mosques as places where users might face temptation they’re unable to resist.

    Mosque-goers are expected to observe Ramadhan (though of course they should not be coerced, either by sticky-beak bureaucrats or IslamoNazi thugs) whereas church-goers are NOT! In the small English town I lived in for many years, it was normal practice for the congregants to walk directly from Sunday worship to Sunday lunch at the pub.

    In fact, when I spent a long weekend in the lovely Shropshire city of Ludlow, there was a boisterous character at the bar as we were sitting down with a mixed grill on Sunday. I asked the bar-maid who he might be, for it seemed like he knew everyone.

    ‘That’s the vicar,’ she smilingly replied.

    Morrissey Talks Sense? Now That IS News!

    A simple question to start. What did you to in response to the news from Manchester?

    Like all of you, presumably, outrage, and then a need to say my piece, but I had to go out and I was so beside myself that my potatoes were left a-boiling!

    Luckily, I realised before boarding the bus and came back. Otherwise my house might have been toast on my return.

    That evening, the plan was to meet up with friends, a mixed bunch, foreigners, Indonesians, just out to have fun.

    What sense would it have made to skip it? Islamists are of course abominable, in just about every way, but their hall-mark is their war on fun, silence the music, shut down song and dance.

    Just as I did after the Sarinah terror attack here in Jakarta, I felt it almost a duty to hit the town, to spite the swine!

    Same logic applies to HM The Queen, who condemned  the jihadist atrocity then went ahead with her garden party yesterday, for which Morrissey scolded her – as if she or I or anyone gives a monkey’s what Morrissey thinks!

    But  there’s more.

    I never thought the day would dawn when I would give Morrissey a nod of approval.

    In most ways, he is, to be frank, a deplorable person.

    oooooooo

    Morrissey
    https://rossrightangle.wordpress.com/2012/03/03/lord-haw-haw-morrissey-penghianat-besar-biokot-konsernya-boycott-this-traitors-concert/

    But, having told off Her Majesty in churlish manner, he did make one rational observation.

    ====

    Manchester mayor Andy Burnham says the attack is the work of an “extremist.” An extreme what? An extreme rabbit?  http://www.alternativenation.net/morrissey-rips-british-politicians-not-condemning-islamic-state-manchester-attack/

    That is a dashed good question.

    There has been an outbreak of buffoonery, boosted by the BBC,  one talking head after another saying how ‘diversity’ must go on, ‘respect’ and ‘tolerance’ are the keys, and we must respond to hate with love.

    =

    =

    Sod that!

    NO ‘tolerance’ for the proponents of shariah sexism.

    NO ‘respect’ for evil clerics who preach that ‘blasphemers,’ or ‘apostates’ and even poor old boring adulterers, deserve to be murdered, by the state or, if not, by sectarian vigilantes.

    NO ‘love’ for brutes like that. HATE is the appropriate response.

    Surely all decent people, including decent Muslims, have a duty to hate the Islamist ideology, despise their mean-spirited antics, and hope and pray for their universal obliteration.

    Apart from the natural abhorrence that Islamist tripe provokes in any normal person, decent Muslims have additional grounds for loathing it, namely…

    =

    =

    …the inevitable ‘Islamophobia’ that is stoked by pig-ignorant Islamist ranting.

    So let’s hope that the British Government gets a grip on the situation. May won’t take the obvious steps in that direction. She won’t make the death penalty part of her manifesto.

    But wait and see. She’s called a halt to electioneering. Perhaps during this ill-considered hiatus, as polling figures tighten, she will listen to wiser heads.

    =

    =

    Though I doubt it.  She appears wedded to the Brussels mind-set, denial of the reality. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/may/23/manchester-bombing-reveals-europes-denial-of-islam/

    Canada – Anti-Music Bigots Turn On Their Hosts!

    come on Canada

    ————–

    A story this week exposes the sheer stupidity of Canadian ‘migrant’ policy today, with benighted bigots defying school rules, aiming to insulate their offspring from their host-nation’s way of life.

    Mandatory music classes hit a bad note with some Muslim parents

    No singing ‘O Canada’ – or any song at all – for this recalcitrant rabble!

    No wonder ‘Islamophobia’ emerges, when such creatures misrepresent their religion to defend their Dark Age defiance.

    ——————————-

    • islamophobia-21

    And it IS misrepresentation.

    I spent years here in 90% Muslim Jakarta teaching all levels, and I can assure readers that, like youngsters anywhere, my students delighted in music – especially Western pop!

    Music is everywhere in Jakarta – I came home from a shopping trip a few days ago and my short journey took me past a Muslim wedding, where joyful dangdut songs were very audible – and look at any tv dangdut show here…

    0000000000000000000000000000000000

    Hasil gambar untuk dangdut konser

    ……………….

    ….and you’ll see crowds, young and old, swaying and singing along, teen lasses in headscarfs, with similarly clad mums and grans, as eagerly as any others. My Indonesia readers commented very forcefully on last week’s post on the kill-joys –Indonesia’s Islamist Kill-Joys Rage Against Erotic Wobbling! –  what a shame Canada has similar berks to those in Aceh.

    Canadian children in Ontario have music as part of their required curriculum, but, in what is arguably more appalling than the recalcitrants’ backward arrogance, authorities in Toronto have been sinking lower than snakes’ bellies to ‘accommodate’ these Dark Agers.

    “Your children will not be required to play a musical instrument or sing in their music class,” read a formal note to at least one family…

    • Hasil gambar untuk toronto district school board
    • ….Toronto District School Board originally had offered an accommodation – suggesting students could just clap their hands in place of playing instruments or listen to acapella versions of O Canada – but not a full exemption from the class….

    No way should this sort of appeasement bilge ever have been tabled.

    —————-

    • appeasement
    • —————
    • However, even when it was, no way would the malignant minority   – a sizeable minority, 130 parents’ names appearing on one protest petition – even contemplate compromise!

    ——-

    “We do not compromise with anyone on the clear-cut orders and principles conveyed by the Prophet…”

    That’s from Kasim Ingar, boss of Toronot’s Scarborough Muslim Association.

    “We here believe that music is haram [forbidden]. We can neither listen to it, nor can we play a role in it…

    How dare aliens who settle in Canada demand that Canada adapt to them, not the other way around, as decent Canadians are entitled to expect?

    Indonesia’s Islamist Kill-Joys Rage Against Erotic Wobbling!

    Again I’m obliged to quote my old Latin teacher when confronted by one of us hapless boys with something absurd   – ‘that would make a cat laugh.’

    And sure enough, here’s Ibi in stitches…

    —————–

    ibitidur

    ————–

    ….reacting to the latest kill-joy outburst from the Aceh chapter of the infamous IslamoNazi FPI, self-styled ‘Defenders of Islam.’

    There are elections coming up there, and while none of the candidates in Indonesia’s only shariah-ruled province are likely to meet with my approval, at least there are signs of humanity among some of them.

    Or so we must assume, because…

    …the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Bireuen are requesting all candidates for Vice Regent in Bireuen running in the 2017 elections to respect Shari’a law in Aceh….

    So dos that mean the white-shirt thug gang is seeking declarations of support for flogging defenceless girls who go out scarfless or hold their boyfriends’ hands?

    The Sharia Hell of Aceh!

    The Sharia Hell of Aceh!

    ————

    Both such behaviours are, after all, outlawed by the backward bigot codes that obtain in Aceh.

    No!

    It’s a much more frightful form of misconduct which has the nasties all agitated.
    “Holding indecent dangdut performances to win the sympathy of the public… is stupid and ridiculous!” said Chairman of FPI Bireuen, Sheikh Khalil on Monday.

    For new readers, dangdut is the common people’s favourite music (and mine!) and many candidates for local (and much higher) office have luscious songstresses at their rallies to stimulate popular support.

    Here’s a link if you want to sample the flavour.

    Creepy Khalil, however, is beside himself at the prospect. He says he’ll be asking voters not to choose candidates who are looking for a cheap thrill with dangdut…

    The question arises – is he then in favour of expensive thrills?

    No matter. I shudder to imagine what might ‘thrill’ the likes of a sectarian gang leader who characterises the fun performances as dangdut wobbling that carries the stench of eroticism.

    Where can we buy tickets, I hear you ask!

    But while you and I might reckon a bit of aromatic wobbling is exactly what a boring political campaign needs…

    All parties, said Sheikh Khalil, should undertake preventive measures before Islamic Sharia violations occur…

      Everybody here in Indonesia loves dangdut singing.
      All my Muslim neighbour like to have dangdut music on the radio in their cars. And if Muslim are against dangdut who are all the thousands who go to dangdut konser?

      The shiekh should go be in arab country, but I think even that many arab country have music.
      Is it not so that belly dancers dance there?

      I love your laughing cat, Ross.
      I laugh too at the stupid FPI who are so UnIndonesian.
      Dangdut is the music of my country. That is a song title. And it is true.
      KDI has million tv viewers. Kontes Dangdut Indonesia.
      I think the FPI only get angry because more people like the wobbling dancers than they like the FPI.

      This FPI always makes us ashamed if foreigners think we in Indonesia are all same like them. All my friends and cousins like dangdut and many have dangdut singers for entertaining wedding guests when they had parties for getting married.
      Muslim or Christian in every kampung and island of our country enjoy dangdut. The singers are very nicer to look at than the horrible FPI men in the photo you show.

      Not much of a hippy-hippy sheikh.
      I feel sorry for the people there, but it’s supposed to be the ‘world’s largest Muslim democracy,’ so why don’t they vote for candidates who don’t dislike fun?

      This FPI think our country is in Arabia or Yemen maybe. They think same as Arab and Yemen people because they have many of them Yemeni and Arab grandfather, who come to Indonesia in colonial time. .
      We real Indonesia people are differen because we like to dancing and singing.We like all good happy stuff western or from Indian. That is India where dangdut come from.
      Even Arab music we can like but not the Arab FPI.

    Good Old-Fashioned Snog Enrages IslamoNazis

    Anywhere normal, you’d not bat an eye-lid.

    A young couple enjoying a snog at the beach. Snog, BTW, is Brit slang for a smooch, a long passionate kiss, not in any way an offensive activity.

    Except….to uptight IslamoNazis!

    00000000000000000000000000

    • Sejumlah adegan pasangan muda mudi sedang berpelukan dan berciuman diduga dilakukan di Anjungan Pantai Losari Makassar, belum lama ini.
    • =========
    • Before I continue, please note, any dumbo Islamophobes out there, that the girl is wearing a head-scarf.
    • So next time some oaf grabs at a passing Muslim lass’s scarf, tell him to lay off. A lot of these girls are bullied into scarfing by primitive male family members. Beneath the shroud, they are as lively and lovely as any other girls.
    • They don’t deserve harassment by strangers added to familial intimidation

    But as regards the unwholesome element here in Indonesia, i.e. the IslamoNazi self-styled ‘Islam Defenders Front.’ known locally as the FPI…

    Chairman of the Advisory Board of South Sulawesi FPI, Abu Thoriq, strongly condemns the misconduct. Moreover, its location is very close to the mosque area….

    “It’s a disgusting act and dishonorable!”

    We’ve heard from Thoriq before.

    IslamoNazi Durex Jihad! No Year’s End Happy Endings?

    He obviously has a thing about sex!

    ————–
    We’ve also seen what the white-shirt hoodlums in Makassar do.

    …………………

    • FPI_13
    • —————–
    • We often use the above photo of their own disgusting and dishonourable conduct in Makassar, during a previous Ramadhan, violent, intolerant vandalism. They are thugs who can’t even walk by inoffensive workers on a lunch-break without engaging in vile sectarian hoodlum antics.

    So who does Thoriq think he ism to rant about harmless teen affection, not IN the mosque, please note, but somewhere nearby.

    In fact, he has previously made it clear that it’s immaterial WHERE such courting couples hang out –“No way inside the mosque, nor outside the mosque, this courting is forbidden.”Love At The Mosque? Islamists Infuriated!

    The deplorable prig says he wants the local authorities to swing into action against kisses.

    .Abu Thoriq said that if the City Government of Makassar is powerless to overcome the teenagers who damage the good name of the city, then his FPI will deploy troops for a raid.

    You’d think this kind of deranged hogwash would attract derision from said municipal authorities, but far from it.

    Mayor Pomanto – ‘Don’t you kids dare behave normally!’

    Mayor of Makassar, Moh Ramdhan ‘Danny’ Pomanto actually seems to have sipped the same Kool-Aid as Thoriq.

    “Of course we are very concerned with this incident. There will be tightened surveillance to be carried out by municipal police. Moreover, the addition of CCTV will be installed in the area,” he said.

    None of the Indonesians I know – including Muslims – would do anything but grimace at this kind of kill-joy caterwauling.

    But the fact that elected representatives, not just the demented jihadist fringe, can get into a lather about a kiss…it all adds to my forebodings for Indonesia’s future.
