    A Hitherto Undiscovered ‘Phobia?’

We have had to put up with a lot of rot churned out by the phobia factory in recent years.

    ”Agoraphobia’  means fear of

    ‘Arachnophobia’ means fear of spiders.

Those are real words, derived from Ancient Greek.

But then we got the absurd ‘homophobia,’ which, any Classics scholar will tell you, means ‘fear of the same,’ just as ‘homonym’ refers to a word that sounds the same as another word, like pier and peer.

Alas, homophobia was manufactured by militant queers to equate the natural distaste normal people feel for queers…

.‘Walks Like A Wummin And He Werrs A Bra!’

…with the real phobias mentioned above.

Then we had “Islamophobia,’ a cunning sectarian invention used to suppress criticism of any aspect of one religion.

It’s a very bad word, invoked to chip away at freedom of expressiion

    . 0000000000

And now, thanks to Jellyfish Johnson last night, one of the few enjoyable parts of his awful performance in the Commons, we learn of a new phobia.

Bojo took a verbal swing at the pudgy clown who leads the SNP, suggesting he ate too much cake.

    . …

    What a fuss!

A hitherto unheard of ‘charity’ called Beat…

…concerned with ‘eating disorders,’ has a director of external affairs, named Tom Quinn, who said:

It is completely unacceptable that the prime minister should resort to making fatphobic comments.

There is a Greek word for fat…

…which they could have used to invent their new phobia, but whichever tubba-lard came up with ‘fatphobic’ was clearly too much of a sluggish slob…

…to reach for a book and find it.

I was skinny at school, but at uni I enjoyed many a beer and got fat.
My pals would make reference to my girth and, as everyone did in those, days, I took jokes and jibes in good part.
Nowadays, people, even fat people, are far too thin-skinned!

Acrophobia is fear of heights. Agoraphobia is fear of open spaces like the Agora, the marketplace of ancient Athens.

Absolutely, Fred, and my apologies. My apologies for my mistake and thanks for pointing it out.
But both are real phobias, unlike the contrived ones I was on about!

‘Scholars’ Vexed By ‘Religious School’ Report!

    A shocking ( perhaps) report from Indonesia’s National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT)…

    BNPT Logo.jpg

that there are at least 198 Islamic boarding schools suspected of being affiliated with terrorists, both local and international terrorism networks –

..has just been released by the BNPT’s Komjen, Boy Rafli Amar, but, regrettably, he chose not to name the ‘pondok pesantren‘ concerned..

However, he did give a breakdown of the sectarian vermin factions…

    The Evil Within

..to which they were linked. viz.

    – 1 affiliated with the Jamaah Anshorut Khilafah (JAK).
    – 119 with Anshorut Daulah or ISIS sympathizers
    – and 68 with Jemaah Islamiyah (JI).

But hardly had the BNPT revelations hit the headlines, than a notable from the state-sponsored MUI…

…the ‘Indonesian Scholars Council,’ Secretary General, Amirsyah Tambunan, ‘questioned the data.’

    Amirsyah Tambunan

.“On what basis is the data collection, what is the methodology, is it the result of an official study by the BNPT?”

    Those are not unreasoable questions.

But then Amirsyah went on to claim that the BNPT had the potential to cause unrest for the surrounding community.

Not only that, BNPT’s exposure will actually make the community less safe and comfortable.”

What exactly does the MUI man mean?

If he were to call for each suspect ‘religious school’ to be named, so that decent parents could remove their offspring from undesirable influences, I’d agree and applaud.

    But on the contrary!

Amirsyah wants the BNPT to make sure that…

‘...this information does not appear in public!”

Then, sad to say, he played the ”Islamophobia’ card.

He asked BNPT to explain to the public so as not to cause negative stigma, especially for Islamic boarding schools.

Let’s note at this point that this is hardly the first time..

Lukman Slams Pesantren Fanatics – Can One Brave Man Slay The Hydra?I

slamist Pesantren Leaders in Indonesia – Pluralist or Primitive?

….that these ‘religious schools’ have caused concern.

To be fair to Amirsyah, he also said MUI was all for ‘religious moderation according to the principles of justice and equality for the benefit of the people and the nation.’

    But then?

I invite all parties to stop the narrative of cornering certain groups with Islamophobia…”

    Oh dear!

As a ‘scholar,’ he ought to know that, ‘Islamophobia’ is a word quite recently invented, to suppress criticism of his creed.

“There’s No Such Thing as Islamophobia. Critique of religion is a fundamental Western right, not an illness.”

Most of you would probably agree!

Any and every creed should be up for criticism.

But Amirsyah’s comments got me thinking about a previous MUI intervention.

I can’t have been the only one who recalled what they had to say when an evil bigot, behind bars for good reason…

…and although happily that release did not come to pass…

MUI talks about tolerance and moderation then brings in so-called Islamophobia?
It’s hard to take them seriously, knowing their record.

    Good grief!

What a self-serving old bat is Nusrat Ghani MP….

What a great pretender she is, not a word about her ‘victimisation’ in February last year until January this year, when Johnson is under attack.
I have no sympathy for Johnson but while true wrongs must be righted, lies like Ghani’s are offensive.

Really, Fadli? Indonesia’s Anti-Terror Unit ‘Islamophobic?’

It’s been a while since we took note of any words of wisdom issuing from Fadli Zon.

And he can usually be counted on to say something remarkable, as when he came out with this shocker!

“I strongly believe that the supporters of Habib Rizieq love peace…

Jakarta Boycott Reality Check? Ask Fadli, Caught Smiling With Trump!

You may recall that the supporters of Habib Rizieq, the recently banned sectarian vigilante gang that called themselves the ‘Islam Defenders Front,’ were NOT noted for loving peace.

Brutal Paris Beheader A ‘Hero,’ Says Jakarta Fanatic!

    Rizieq’s son-in-law presumably qualifies as a ‘supporter.’

The FPI include many cowards, certainly.…

..but mob-handed, they could be as brave as…

FPI in West Java – ‘Let’s Burn Out the Orphans!’

    ..what, hyenas?

    But back to  Fadli!

    He’s a legislator, a well-known figure in Indonesia’s Gerindra Party, well-travelled…

Hasil gambar untuk fadli zon trump candidate

…at ease with the great and good.

But how about his latest outburst?

Fadli Zon said that the Special Detachment or Densus 88 Anti-terror Police should be disbanded.

    Good grief!

    Densus88 have been doing a splendid job…

Makassar – One Less Foul Fiend In The World?

…for which we have often praised them.

And for which they have in the past caught criticism…

Jakarta Echoes of Gibraltar – How Dare You Kill Terrorists?

…but not from anyone you or I would rate highly.

    But this week..

Fadli Zon commented on the statement by the Director of Anti-terror Detachment 88 of the National Police, Kombes M Rosidi, who said that the Taliban had inspired terrorist groups in Indonesia.

Back-Stab Biden’s disastrous pull-out from Afghanistan, where the Taliban, pig-ignorant sectarian savages, are now eagerly oppressing women ( and men, but the absurd sexist apartheid is somehow especially offensive) has probably inspired jihadist terrorists everywhere.

The sight of those primitive brutes, sporting fire-arms and revolting unkempt beards…

(which are NOT a religious requirement – most Muslim men in Indonesia are unbearded – like Fadli!)

    …swaggering around Kabul?

Certainly the Taliban’s inspiring terrorists, as Pak Rosidi said.

So why is Fadli troubled by that truth?

Well, while he admitted that ‘acts of terrorism must be eradicated….’

    ..Fadli continued –

This kind of narrative will no longer be trusted by the people – it smells Islamophobic….”

    Indonesia is about 90% Muslim!

It’s very probable that Densus is similarly composed.

It’s very probable that Pak Rosidi’s initial ‘M’ indicates his religious affiliation.

In what alternative universe can these realities be construed as ‘Islamophobic?’

    But we’re not done yet!

    Because Fadly thinks that –

..it is better if Detachment 88 is disbanded... ‘

    Scary, yes?

This man isn’t some obscure nonentity but a big noise in Indonesian politics!

I doubt if Fadly will get his wish.

The best way to ‘eradicate acts of terrorism’ is surely to get more terrorists eradicated!’

So I hope the heroes if Densus 88 continue doing their righteous work.

But perhaps because of my familiarity with the fight against other evil sectarians..

…it’s hard not to think of the heroism and sacrifice of other brave officers…

…betrayed, their force disbanded to appease the forces of darkness.

Leicester Uni – Magnet For Uptight Whiners?

It strikes me as bizarre but sadly unsurprising that the BBC offers a report on Leicester University which contains unmitigated gobble-de-gook like this –

The University of Leicester study found some black students were concerned they were marked by their “capacity to mask their blackness” in presentations.

Time they went back to kindergarten if that’s the best excuse they can think up for poor performance.

    It’s rank hogwash!

    As is the study’s conclusion.

It suggested a “lack of a sufficiently diverse or decolonised curriculum” hampered some students’ progress…

Grow up, ya idle uptight stoats!

But fear not, no story about uptight whiners can be complete without the intrusion of ‘Islamophobia.’

The study also found South Asian students of Islamic faith often felt that they were subject to ethnic and religious-based anti-education stereotypes and biases, which negatively affected their grades.

    That is completely meaningless.

If it were in any way comprehensible, one might try to puncture its pretensions, but it is plainly gibberish designed by inadequates…

…with chunky chips on both shoulders, who should never have been admitted to any institution of higher education.
