Besok Macet2 Lagi? IslamoNazi ‘Long March?’ Gimme A Break!
MACET!
-
One Indonesian word we all learn fast – it means ‘traffic jam’ and we sure do get them a lot!
Sadly, tomorrow could see Jakarta’s drivers, inured to the misery of congested roads, held to even slower progress than usual.

The IslamoNazi FPI, self-styled ‘Islam Defenders Front,’ are staging what is ludicrously described as a ‘Long March.’
It’s the latest in their series of shrill bleatings against the capital’s Governor Ahok.

Ahok
———
They have always hated Ahok, as do all the backward bigot elements in the archipelago…
Jakarta Jew-Haters Boo Chinese Christian Candidate
…but there’s currently a row over his comments on a Koranic verse.
Normal rational Muslims have made clear it’s no big deal –
..Vice-Chair Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama Jakarta, Taufik Damas. reckons Ahok’s words were not degrading to the Qur’an…

“From the footage that lasted one hour and 43 minutes, I do not see any words of Ahok that degrade verses of the Koran… ”
Taufik advised residents to watch the original video in its entirety to find out what Ahok was really saying.

Taufik’s NU is the largest Muslim organsation in Indonesia, but there are quite a few rabid fanatics who will grab at any issue to rant against Ahok.
The white-shirt gang says it will bring five thousand fanatics onto the streets of Jakarta tomorrow – http://www.tribunnews.com/metropolitan/2016/10/13/5000-anggota-fpi-demo-ahok-besok-polisi-siaga – parading their sectarian rage from Istiqlal Mosque to the City Hall.

Istiqlal Mosque
The big mosque is just north of Monas Square, so how can anyone claim that a stroll from there to Jakarta City Hall is a ‘Long March’ – unless they call a halt for coffee at every warkop en route!
Warkop or warung kopi ia a small humble cafe or coffee-shop…

But that’s what the report says…di sekitar Masjid Istiqlal hingga Gedung Balai Kota DKI Jakarta, Gambir, Jakarta Pusat… – translate it yourself, Google up a city map, and see what I mean!
I could walk that distance inside half-an-hour!

They could actually dawdle their way through Monas Square, a lovely open green space, which would mean no disruption to road traffic at all.
-
Or they could do their thing on Saturday or Sunday, which would minimise disruption to all the car and motor-bike users who would rather get to and from their work-places than see or hear Islamist extremists stomping and shrieking.
-
But I fear their nasty little demo on a Friday will exacerbate traffic something terrible.
