Ingrate Alien Claims Rejected Rescuers ‘Abandoned’ Her!

It’s hard to fathom the twisted thinking of the left-lib media, and this, from one news-site, exemplifies what a contorted sort of logic they like to use.

A woman whose rescue fueled outrage at Italy’s efforts to have Libya’s coast guard bring migrants back has written to her Spanish rescuers and assured them she is being taken care of.

In fact, I do not recall any ‘outrage’ in July, though rumour has it that in one Jakarta bar there were ripples of that phenomenon when the Happy Hour prices stopped two minutes early.

 

Whatever ‘outrage’ there may have been about this splash-around in the Med was confined to

B  so-called ‘non-government organisations’ many of which are in receipt of government money,

and possibly

C  – over-paid sticky-beaks in UN employ!

The ‘NGO’ involved in the episode is a Spanish agitprop outfit called ‘Proactiva Open Arms,’ which  ‘accused the Libyan coast guard of abandoning her and two others after intercepting 160 Europe-bound migrants. ‘

Really?

So the crimmigrant chick was pleading to be rescued by the intercepting Libyans, and they cruelly rescued 150 plus other illegal aliens and deliberately left her to drown?

Hogwash, and if the report is true, it’s Proactiva Open Arms that tells us it’s hogwash, because they say that although the Libyans loaded almost all the crimmigrants aboard their coastguard vessel, the whining Cameroonian and two others spurned the chance of rescue!

So who’s to blame for that?

Italy? Hardly!

Libya? Hardly!

Twas none other than the recalcitrant refusoids! They themselves bear the responsibilty for their own plight!

If you’re offered a lift and point-blank refuse, you are certainly going to be ‘left behind’ but you’ve certainly not been ‘abandoned!’.

PS The sheer illogic evident in the report made me wonder if its account were inaccurate so I cast about for other sources and the NYT gives much the same story, though it too fails to identify the crimmigrant woman as the author of her own misfortune.

According to Reuters, the Libyan ships rounded up the crimmigrants after corralling three different vessels.

But what does ‘the Aquarius rescue ship‘ deserve, that picked up over a hundred seaborne illegals, and was last reported ‘preparing to transfer the migrants to Italy!
