    “When’s A ‘Veggie Burger’ NOT A ‘Veggie Burger?’ “

That headline above is taken verbatim from an opinion piece in EUObs, and I’m not going to get into the nitty-gritty of the legislation the lady who wrote the article is on about.

I’d prefer to challenge her on why she would be concerned if the reputation of MEPs suffered for doing what they’re best at…

Strasbourg Slug – Bail-Out Cash Must Enforce Gender-Bender Pact

….lavishing time and money on questionable (to say the least) causes!

For a start, this gratuitous discussion on meat denominations risks exposing legislators to ridicule and is fodder for Euroscepticism.

    She’s got a point, for sure, but…

I suspect she wouldn’t welcome my endorsement anyway, because to my way of thinking, as far as Strasbourg Slugs are concerned…

…the more those pathetic, bombastic and enormously over-paid MEP clowns are exposed to ridicule the better.

Yet she seems to think that would be an undesirable outcome.

….doesn’t it make you British readers feel a little bit better…

….even as we all worry about the Chinese Virus and the threat from Big Tech to democracy worldwide, and the crimmigrant tsunami not only on the Channel beaches but to all of Christendom…

…to know that at least the UK is no longer subject to the blathering of those Strasbourg Slugs?

Kiwi Shoppers Should Be Entitled To Bash Vile Vegans!

Where’s the compassion for beans, crammed into cans, drowned in sauce?

Kiwi Kooks, meat-hating vegans, at least those I’m writing about today,  are obnoxious louts.

If they seek to prevent people going about their lawful activities, then the vegans’ victims should have an absolute right to clobber the bums.

I refer to an extract from a report from New Zealand.

It’s been a while since I spent time discussing NZ…

Kiwis Keep The Flag Flying! But Oz Pinkos Aren’t Happy!

    Scumner-Burstyn Oozes Into Hyper-Whine

…but Kiwis deserve a bit of solidarity when faced with arrogant agitators like those in an Auckland supermarket last Sunday.

The insolent scum ‘formed a picket line to block shoppers’ access to the meat section and counter.’

    That is completely unacceptable.

The vegans could have peacefully demonstrated outside -no worries! That’s the democratic way.

Instead they deliberately launched aggressive, obstructive action designed to provoke decent people simply trying to buy food for their families.

Buying and Eating Meat is a lawful pursuit!

But I strongly suspect that if any of the innocent shoppers had taken steps needed to reach the items they were perfectly within their rights to buy, and given any of the vegan louts a good clout as richly deserved, it would be the shoppers who found themselves the focus of police attention.

    And that would be wrong!

So why did the Kiwi cops not arrest the vegans?

Meat Kills? What Doesn’t? Let’s Just Go Eat Worms!

I’m not even going to give the link for the latest Eating-Panic story.

You must all have read that meat is SO bad for you.

The Food Fascists appear to be unpleasantly and implacably opposed to all that normal human beings like to consume.

But, having returned from a nice get-together at a beery joint last night…

    • …where I devoured heaps of pork and beef, and potato salad, all washed down with half-a-dozen or more cold Bintangs, it suddenly occurred to me to call up some links to other scary stories noticed in the recent past.

    • Various “meat and potatoes” dietary patterns have been found to be associated with increased risks of many cancer types, including breast cancer. However, it is possible that these heightened risks may be due primarily to red meat and fried potato intake; it is possible that consumption of boiled or steamed potatoes does not carry such risks.Potatoes | Food for Breast Cancer

    Or NOT!

And I think you’ll find that coffee too has been debated as a possibly perilous substance….

I’m on my third kopi hitam this bright Jakarta morn – it’s barely 9am!

    …or not…

Coffee Intake Not Linked With Pancreatic Cancer Risk …

25 Sep 2015 – There may be no association between coffee intake and pancreatic cancer.
    Oh, there MAY?
On the other hand, there MAY NOT!
If not, we should jump atop a table to sing and/or dance?
More risk – falling off tables can be injurious to your well-being!
So we should spend our meagre allotted span doing SFA?
Munching muesli, sipping aerated water, no wild parties, no fooling around…?
    Until we die of boredom?

The Health-Freaks find fault with just about EVERYTHING!
Nobody denies them the right to an opinion, but they have turned into wannabe dictators, UK schools telling parents what kids can have in their packed lunches!
Or banned even from having a packed lunch, if that transgresses state nutrition policy!
Parents who had hoped to discuss the meal policy with teachers on the first day of term were met by two police community support officers.
What we as individuals, or as families, decide to do in terms of eating and drinking is OUR business, not the nanny-state’s.
If busy-body shrills enjoy shrilling at us, up to them – as long as the damned government doesn’t act to enshrine their alarmist propaganda in law.
