A Little Late, But Worth Watching – Middle East Barbarism

It was interesting to watch this.
The more we watch the better, because in the UK it’s getting hard to hear or read anything non-left, with journalists being handcuffed and deported and even Speaker’s Corner policed by Amber Rudd’s monitor cops.

Deutsche Welle’s Odd Notion of Balanced Journalism

Too many people commenting on Trump’s triumphant visit to Saudi Arabia, so I will confine myself to the sheer crass bias of Deutsche Welle, who decided they needed to have two guests on to discuss it. That’s fair.

One critical of the American President, one ready to defend him, right? That’s how serious journalism works, right?

    Harharhar, de harharhar.

    Here comes that cat again!

    ——

    ======

This is DW we’re talking about!

They had ONE guest, some far-left growler named Akram Baker, ranting about ‘right-wing ideologues.’

And sneering at the President. You can find the biased ranter on their website and judge for  yourselves.

    ———-

    =======

    Totally negative!

DW only identified Baker as a ‘Middle East analyst.’

But then Baker is a lot more than DW told us. He’s a ‘Palestinian-American!’ Okay, not all Palestinians want to murder every Jew, regardless of age or sex.

But he is, or was, Co-President of the ‘Arab Western Summit of Skills,’ whatever that is.  I am curious as to why the State Department funded such a body…

…but it’s late and I only want to ask why DW made no effort to balance that viciously anti-Trump Baker with somebody who holds a less bigotedly partisan view.

As Christmas Draws Nigh, Remember REAL Refugees!

By sheer coincidence, I have Deutsche Welle on this morning, and I see an ad for a new series they are doing, ‘The Last Prayer...’

… In Iraq, Christian minorities have been displaced by the murderers belonging to the so-called Islamic State. Syrian Christians are also fleeing war and upheaval, while those in Turkey have almost completely disappeared over the course of the 20th century. Although Egypt has the largest Christian community in the Arab world, the Copts enjoy scant protection in law.

…about Christians in the Middle East.

It starts next week, 22nd December, and I hope it represents a refreshing break from DW’s perennial left-liberal bias…

…but I will reserve judgement, keeping my fingers crossed when I watch it.

Yesterday’s sectarian terror bomb at the church in Cairo, was grim news indeed.

But it reminded me that many, if not most of us, who are raising Hell about all those phoney ‘refugees’ swarming around Europe, many of whom carry not just their back-packs and bags but also a cultural predisposition towards arrant religious intolerance…

They are REAL refugees, and, at this time of year particularly – I just put the tree up last night…

Can Canucks Learn from Arabs? Anti-Smoking IslamoNazi Beheaded!

Well, that’s a refreshing bit of news!

    ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

The IS police force has confiscated and burned tobacco products and punished those caught smoking. According to reports, the force’s deputy commander in the area had been captured, tortured and beheaded.

    • ———————————

Okay, any dead ISIS scumbag is cause for a spot of celebration.

    congratulationssuperjob

But for smokers anywhere to exact retribution on those who make their lives a misery…WOW!

Not that I’d urge decapitation for the health-fascists who harass us – but the idea of a fightback has a certain appeal.

Especially since, according to the news I heard the other day, while that Jakarta rain crashed down outside, their shrill tax-paid propaganda is based on something of a fallacy – cancer is simply a matter of bad luck!

    ——–

    smokers-rights

    ———–

So all the scare-tales we’ve been fed for decades, about how us smokers must be bashed and bullied because our addiction, to so-called ‘cancer-sticks,’ is a menace not only to ourselves but to everyone within a stone’s-throw of our poisonous fumes,  are nothing more than a crock?

    ——-

    \witch_bgstart

    ————-]

Imbued with hope that the witch-hunting might be brought to an end, I hastened to check by searching the online media.

It IS a matter of luck, it seems …

Needless to say, the researchers have claimed that although ill-fortune is responsible for about two-thirds of cancers…unhealthy habits such as smoking help increase the risk.https://bad-luck-is-real-key-to-cancer-say-experts-1-3649146

    eussr10

After all, they’re not going to scrap years of propaganda which has cost tax-payers millions of pounds, dollars and euros. Next thing they’d have to prevail on the EUSSR to overturn its ridiculous VERBOT on menthol cigarettes!

Now as for the Western Hemisphere…

    come on Canada

    —-

My thanks to one of our Canadian readers (a non-smoker, indeed an anti-smoker!) who sent me news of Ontario’s latest oppressive onslaught.

Effective Jan. 1, a number of anti-smoking laws came into effect in Ontario – mirroring versions seen in other jurisdictions across the country....the ban also includes all bar and restaurant patios… in other words, on the property of a private commercial business.

I could get on my platform here, but the Toronto Sun makes the case so well I can just save my energy with a cut n paste!

This is a step too far. If the 18% of people who still smoke wanted to cobble together their cash to open a bar and patio just for them, what’s it to you? Just don’t go there.

The law then goes overboard with the nanny state by banning the sale of tobacco on college and university campuses…

….Many university students are the age of majority. They’re adults.

It’s wise to quit smoking. But adults should have the choice to live as they please. Government needs to butt out too!
