    Can The P-Word Harm Kids?

Since none of us who habitually used the P-Word…

    Cricket Whiner ‘Creepy?’ A Cover-Up?

…to describe our destination when we told friends or family we were nipping round to the P-Word shop to buy fags…

    ( NB not sexual maladjusts!)

…ever used the term in any malevolent way….

    .

    .

…my headline is purely a reminder of the nonsense spread by the Cricket Whiner.

But this article ( in the Guardian, inevitably) on a study ‘about on-screen depictions of racist language and behaviour’ in films shown in UK cinemas?

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/dec/02/british-film-racism-rule-change-paternalism-classification

To be fair, the author of the Guardian piece takes a rational view, deeming the putative cendorship, viz.

‘...films containing the N-word will automatically receive a 12 rating unless there are significant mitigating circumstances; where, for example, “historical racist language” is deemed to be appropriately contextualised.’

…as unacceptably ‘paternalistic,’ what bothers me is that such wokish plans,  obsessing about the ‘N-Word,’ or presumably the ‘P-Word…’.

    (

(but not ‘racist’ words like Cracker or Honky?)

…and rearranging what ordinary people, in this case young people, may see/hear when they’re enjoying a popular form of entertainment, are being plotted so very quietly.

How many British people even know that this kind of racialised censorship has been under discussion by the in-crowd?

What a pathetic batch of infantile uppity uptights…

If ever a pathetic batch of infantile uptights deserved disciplinary sanctions…

    – personally, I’d expel the lot and give their college places to young people mature enough to make good use of the opportunities –

…it must be this clump of weeds.

more than 100 students, faculty, and staff staged a sit-in…

History prof gives ‘trigger warning’ to class before reciting historical document containing N-word. Student sit-in, hunger strike follow.

I might have chided the prof for indulging their immaturity with that preface – grown-ups are not ‘triggered’ by a recitation – but she still gets cut no slack by the college’s klutz-prinicipal.

Her issuance of a “trigger warning” before her recitation does not lessen the pain caused by the use of the word’

    .

    ..

The insolent upstarts have been demanding a senior administrator’s resignation, because the guy does not go into PC paroxysms often enough.

Contemptibly, another authority figure on campus, the pusillanimous principal, a person named Joseph Harroz, is siding with the ‘sit-in’ slobs..

    .

…. apparently acquiescing in their demand for ‘diversity training’ aka re-education, red-style!

    Harroz

    ..

Harroz is described as the University of Oklahoma’s ‘acting principal,’ so perhaps he has insecurity ‘issues,’ too temporary in the job to show he’s not just another pinko twit.

A real principal would get security patrols in, each patrolman equipped with a toothy doberman, set the dogs on the useless wasters, and roust the uppities out of their ‘sit-in.’

    .

If ‘faculty’ and ‘staff’ are indeed among the sitters-in, prompt dismissal is the obvious outcome of their irresponsible, reprehensible antics.

As for the ‘students,’ if that word even applies to such tantrum-brats?

Again, it would be easy to say that these pathetic plonkers need to be taught that professors deserve, if not deference, at least respect, if the profs in question are taking their academic duties seriously, as the one in U. of O. certainly was.

But since the brats are plainly unteachable…

      Expel them!
They don’t deserve the privilege of attending a university.

Oklahoma used to be a lot more sensible than many other states.

They have no right to invade administration offices, and although I agree with you that these ‘students’ should be expelled, it would have a greater long-term effect if they expelled that Harroz along with the ‘faculty’ whose teaching must have very negative influence on their classes.
