Excellent news from Cremona, in Italy, where that pusillanimous priest, Sante Braggie, on whom we reported on last week…

Another Damn Dog-Collared Appeasement Monkey! 

… has been slapped down – by his own diocese, after uproar over the cancellation of the church’s Nativity Scene.

…the diocese countermanded him, the municipality offered to help, and the work had already begun.

According to the vicar general of the Cremona diocese, Sante Braggie’s words were “falsely attributed” and the Nativity scene was to be installed.

Not sure what ‘falsely attributed’ is supposed to mean. Is an embarrassed hierarchy trying to tell us the act of appeasement was misreported?

Seems unlikely, because people in the vicinity who ought to know were taking it very seriously indeed. 

The turbulent cleric was on the receiving end of a brilliant rebuttal from the Lombardy Region’s Culture Minister, the rather nifty Cristina Cappellini…

She summed up what were clearly the feelings of normal people, not only in Italy but all over the world, with these very stirring words –

“Reconsider,” she urged the priest, “think of all those Christian children still under the yoke of the Islamic State or under regimes practicing state atheism or not guaranteeing freedom of worship…

“Think about those families and those children who are not allowed to make the crib…those people for whom wearing a cross means signing their own death sentence, often after torture and abuses of all kinds.

Another Damn Dog-Collared Appeasement Monkey!

Only this week, I dug out my artificial Christmas Tree- living in Jakarta is not like my boyhood days in Perth County, Ontario, when we’d walk a little ways from the farm-house and cut one down!

Being in Indonesia, I often have Muslim guests and they are not in the least ‘offended’ by my modest festive decorations.

On the contrary, they like the way my home is cheerier at this time of year! And I’m cheerier too.

Until I read the news from Italy…

It’s really quite hard not to pour scorn on the pathetic and pusillanimous priest who is so eager not to ‘offend’ that he has cut back on the celebration of Christ’s Nativity at his church in Cremona, in Italy.

Let’s just say I am sick and tired of pinko pukes of all denominations, all parties and all nationalities who bleat about how one must never ‘offend’ ethnic or religious or ‘gender’ minorities, yet who simultaneously, sedulously, go out of their way to offend US!

And by ‘us,’ I include all the Christian Italians in Cremona for whom a priggish clown, ‘Father’ Sante Braggie, has shown utter contempt, OFFENDING even the priest who previously ministered to the same congregation….

….by cancelling Christmas, or at least an integral part of the Christmas Season…

…there would be no nativity scene at the local cemetery this year as it could offend people from other faiths whose relatives are buried there….a small corner of the cemetery is reserved for Muslim graves.

Hey, Sante, your duties are located in a church, right?

The church is obviously visible to people of all creeds and of none, right?

Shouldn’t you demolish it, lest non-believers get all ‘offended’ if their business or social activities require them to be within sight of such an ‘offensively’ Christian structure?

But that would be unfair on the genuine Christians who are not embarrassed by their faith, right?

So a better idea, then.

Just remove your priestly collar, which you disgrace every time you put it on, and…

No Xmas? No Way! Appeasement-Jerk Ousted Instead!

But while we can rejoice at this victory, and at other occasional fightbacks by people not disposed to crawl, note well…

The controversy comes just days after a chain of nurseries in northern Tuscany decided not to set up a nativity scene for fear of offending non-Christian pupils and parents.

Why would anyone, seriously, be OFFENDED by a Nativity Scene? It’s part and parcel of an Italian December.

No tots in the nurseries would be required to kneel before it, or do anything, except maybe notice a scene that is pleasant to view.

Or else, like their parents, they are free to ignore it.

If any people ARE so easily offended by Italy’s cultural heritage, best the whiners sod off to somewhere else.
