Enjoy A Night Out? How Dare You, Say IslamoNazis!

I’ve recently, for obvious reasons, been watching France24.
Their coverage is more intense, again obviously, but they still seem prone to drivel bias, too many guest appearances by ‘experts,’ who offer us not so much expertise as prejudice, like a couple of nights ago, for examle.
They had a dumbo Swede geezer and an American female (teaching at a Liverpool University!) who had in common the word ‘problematic,‘ which they eagerly applied to France’s determination to fight back.
The very thought of saying it is a ‘war‘ made them quake.
    Militaristic,‘ said the Swede, anxiously.
Hardline,‘ I think the Yank bint threw in, referring to France’s failure to pander to banlieue parasites, France’s indifference to the ‘root causes‘ of terrorism, which she ascribes to ‘poverty,’ ignoring the rather more obvious cause, evil.
Tonight, I did hear, on the same channel, that the ringleader of the Paris Pogrom had been a ‘successful businessman.’
    Go figure.
Wicked old France? These pinkos were talking MERDE!
But before them, there was a French professor, named Francois Bernard, I believe, who had a lot to say too.
But one particular point he made CANNOT be emphasised enough, the choice of targets by the jihadist scum.
A rock concert, a bar where people were enjoying an evening drink…
…these manifestations of normality are, as the prof put it, ‘abominations,‘ to the pig-ignorant Islamists.
Though to be fair to ISIS, they’re not hostile to sex, as long it’s with under-age, unwilling, innocent captives.
    keep-calm-and-go-pig-hunting Right on, France!
It really is a war the fanatics are waging, not only against security forces or politicians, but against all that makes life worth living. ‘
    A vendetta against fun.
And that takes me back here to Indonesia, where the IslamoNazi FPI have been out and about – they are not much into fun as normal human brings know it, but they have their own sort of frolicking…
Sejumlah massa dari Front Pembela Islam (FPI) melakukan aksi di depan Gedung Mahkaman Konstitusi (MK), Jakarta, Rabu (27/1). masked IslamoNazi cowards
…which usually consists of either howling rabble-gatherings in protest at other people having fun or better still, violent and/or vandalistic outrages.
Their most recent outing occurred in Bekasi, a place notable mostly for crass intolerance, sadly common in West Java.
But this time it was directed against the local legislators, who, the white-shirt thugs felt, should reject the draft law being deliberated by the Tourism Special Committee.
The Chairman of FPI in Greater Bekasi, Dede Sulaiman, told the media that the Muslims in Bekasi reject the draft law on one point – it would legalize nightclubs.
“It’s the price of death for us.”
    fpi_noble life martyr deatht
    ‘Noble life or martyr’s death!’
    Oh yeah?
That’s a literal translation of a term meaning they are prepared for martyrdom on the issue of normal folk getting to enjoy a drink, a dance or a show after dark.
“We reject the draft law because it is not in accordance with the teachings of Islam.”
Do these hoodlums represent ‘the Muslims in Bekasi?

Certainly not some of the Muslims I met when I lived there – the place has many unpleasant people…

Christ’s Ascension Day – Islamist Savages Pelt Congregation With Sewage, Urine and Rocks

Dede may be correct when he adds that the reform is not in accordance with the vision of Bekasi Regency’s religious community, but that’s probably a good reason to press ahead and implement it.

We know the extent of bitter, bigoted intolerance entrenched in West Java, where ‘clerics’ a few years ago practised vicious intimidation to make decent Muslims bow to their hate-campaign against Christians.

The brutes threatened not to pray at their funerals if they failed to cooperate; the majority of his neighbors signed the document under duress.  http://www.christianpost.com/news/indonesian-muslims-call-for-halt-to-christianization-45778/

Men of God, indeed, bullying villagers thus to make them toe the bigot line!

Pity poor Dede, though. He and his comrades in FUKHIS (Forum of Islamic brotherhood) are EMBARRASSED!

“We citizens of  Bekasi are very embarrassed by the mushrooming of immoral places. We’ll never be silent. We’ll continue to fight until the end of life.”   http://poskotanews.com/2015/11/10/fpi-tolak-raperda-pariwisata-kabupaten-bekasi/

     Hmmm..fingers crossed.
But don’t expect any genuine heroics from these white-shirts.
Not after how their ‘sweeping’ picnic in Sukorejo ended.
‘Sweeping’ – that’s the thug euphemism for mob-handed raids that terrorise civilised people.
fpi skulk in mosque Cowering IslamoNazis
Now they’re threatening to ‘sweep’ again.
But the sad thing is, the local councillors may well bow to the bigots.

After all, even here in Jakarta, the kill-joys are in the saddle.

‘You’re Only An Adult! It’s Past Your Bedtime!’ Jakarta Rules, OK?

    Creeping shariah surging.

BTW – Finally, that evening, France24 had an Englishman, Charlie Winter, from the Quilliam group, with whom I didn’t entirely agree, but who refuted the cr%p about poverty, asserting quite clearly that jihadists came from all social classes.

The ‘poverty’ nonsense is such an insult to all the decent poor, who live honest lives.

It’s like the hogwash we get from social workers, – ‘oh, he had a rough childhood, so his crimes merit our undertanding.’ That is grossly offensive to everyone who had a rough childhood and grew up decent.

    Evil-doers merit retribution!

Jakarta DPRD Diktat – Short, Dark, Dull Nights- Unless You’re Rich?!

Since I’ll soon be back home in Jakarta after a tremendous holiday with tremendous people, best I bring my earlier post Hands Off Jakarta Nightclubs! Can Ahok Thwart Kill-joy Creeps? up-to-date on the grim fate facing Indonesia’s hitherto vibrant capital.

I am prompted to do so by some of my regular commenters who draw attention to the way the affluent elite  – who dominate Jakarta DPRD (city council)  – always look after their own little oligarchy.

     Prabowo Soenirman

Slightly surprised to read of another councillor, named Prabowo ( not the defeated presidential candidate, though from the same Gerindra Party) weighing in on the Jakarta night-club debate, saying the numb-skull scheme to have them all shut by midnight would be ineffective.

    Hasil gambar untuk killjoy

Probably true, since Jakartans are resourceful when it comes to getting on with normal life despite government intrusion.

But one’s appreciation of Prabowo’s input is at once negated by his suggested alternative – make drinks so expensive that fewer customers will be able to afford a night out!

He wants to impose a tax-hike!

‘Make a bottle of mineral water cost Rp.100,000!’

Why do so many politicians here seek to punish people for not being rich!

Maybe because none of them are short of a bob or two?  It’s the same with the intolerants trying to force prohibition on the archipelago.

    • Sticky-beaks pandering to stuck-ups!

The ‘ban-the-booze’ bleaters are seemingly prepared to make exceptions for five-star hotels, so affluent Indonesians can go a-swilling with wealthy tourists, while the rest of us go thirsty, facing fines and/or jail-time if we have a glass in our own back-yards!

Who will stick up for the people against the stuck-ups and sticky-beaks?

Only Governor Ahok, it appears, and he’s been told not to interfere, by yet another Gerindra Party uptight, named Muhammad Sanusi, according to the same report.

      Muhammad Sanusi

Muhammad warns the Governor to let the kill-joy clock-watchers get on with their scheme to turn Jakarta After Dark into some sort of Riyadh or Tehran look-alike city.

‘Now, where shall we go tonight?’

A hideous prospect, and I hope Ahok champions his citizens against the pampered posh-boys who want them to go to bed early (after lots of prayers, no doubt! Creeping Shariah,’ Warns Prof. Muhammed, As Jakarta Dims! )

Hands Off Jakarta Nightclubs! Can Ahok Thwart Kill-joy Creeps?

I haven’t always agreed with Jakarta’s Governor Ahok, but it’s fair to say such disagreements are rare.

    • ahok Ahok
    • ——————
    • That’s because he generally talks plain common sense, and has done so again last month, by scorning kill-joy councillors intent on infantilising their fellow-citizens.
    • I mean, what’s with this demand for packing people off to bed at a fit and proper bed-time determined by the likes of City Council Speaker Prasetio Edi Marsudi.

Ahok has made it clear he’d hammer nightspots guilty of allowing drug abuse, and shown his mettle by shutting the awful Stadium.

Let’s Re-Open TANAMUR, NOT the Stadium!

But he refuses point-blank to contemplate Prasetio’s demand to make law-abiding clubs close early.

“What is wrong with discotheques?” asked Ahok.

    Nothing, of course!

    • Hasil gambar untuk wild party
    • =============
    • Young people, and many not so young, enjoy them, revelling till the wee small hours.
    • But that seems to be what gets up the wowsers’ noses.

Prasetio expressed concerns over the lengthy operational hours of nightspots in the capital. He called on the city administration to reduce the operational hours up to the middle of the night only. He observed that a number of nightspots operated until 2 a.m. and even 3 a.m.

    •  Prasetio
    • ===============
    • Well, hell!
    • Heavens to Murgatroyd!
    • No rational argument adduced to support his censorious stance, except that some clubs are afflicted by narcotics, which is undoubtedly true, but not in any logical way linked to their hours of opening and closure.

I suppose Prasetio has drained his 9 p.m. mug of cocoa and is well-tucked up in his comfy wee bed by 9.30pm.

But normal folk don’t do that, not in 2015, unless of course they are dead boring deadbeats or work so hard they’re just fit to drop by the time they leave their offices.

Charitably, I assume Prasetio is in the latter category.

But even most hard-working grown-ups understand that ‘work hard, play hard’ makes excellent sense.  Healthy adults and teens don’t behave, nor wish to behave, like octogenarian decrepits.

    3c1b1-get_real_big  Get real, Pras!

But despite Ahok’s cautions, it now transpires the wowser elements on the City Council – and that would certainly include Mohammed Taufik – are going to ram through the idiotic midnight curfew.

Who’s Taufik? Read our previous post –

Ahok and His Enemies – Prabowo’s Jakarta Flunkey Excuses IslamoNazi Rioters

-which includes this gem, on how, when the FPI thug gang staged their sectarian protest against Jakarta’s new Governor Ahok, the Jakarta Post noted that City Council Gerindra Party leader, Mohammed Taufik, echoed the louts’ hostility to Ahok.

    • Taufik – man of distinction?
    • ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

….though not a notably modest man, he has a lot about which he should be modest – he was fired as the Jakarta General Elections Commission chief in 2006 after committing graft while in office.

He also merits mention not just for his wholesome character. As one of Prabowo’s hangers-on, Taufik issued brazen threats against the Chairman of the Election Commission.

Taufik has been reported to the police, for making kidnap threats against the Election Commission Chairman. And the police have assigned protection to the Chairman of the KPU, all its members…  Police provide protection for KPU officials following threat

So it’s never a surprise to find Taufik on the wrong side of any issue.

He’s not just deputy speaker but also currently running Balegda, the City Council’s Legislation Agency – “[The nightclubs] will have to close at midnight. It has been decided [by Balegda] and [we have all] agreed,” said Balegda  head Mohammad Taufik on Friday as quoted by kompas.com. He added that there would be no more bargaining…

discussion on the draft bylaws on tourism will also include matters such as karaoke clubs, saunas, massage parlors and live music lounges.

    • Jackboot Stomp fun, stomp tourism  – Jakarta City Council’s official policy?
    • ——————————
    • “Do remember that rules are made to be obeyed and executed,” said Taufik.

Of course this move is imbecilic, but even imbeciles usually have some reason, however odd, for what they do.

Is this curfew inspired by the essential intolerance that characterises Islamist ideology, these damfool councillors displaying a new and noisome aspect of ‘creeping shariah?’

Or is it that they just hate to think of anyone enjoying him/herself?

For my part, even if I’m home, it’s normally well past midnight before I hit the pit. Few of the city’s nightclubs appeal to me, much of the music being hideous, non-stop, metallic, repetitive jungle garbage.

But if I make my way to the good dangdut joints up in Pasar Rumput, or the milder versions around Jalan Belora, other patrons would wonder what was amiss were I to leave before 1 or 2 am…or later.

    • quote – Gary, Men Behaving Badly.
    • —————————-
    • The governor said that he did not see any negative impacts from discotheques and other evening entertainment facilities as long as they abide by regulations.
    • “I don’t like visiting discotheques, but we should not be hypocrites,” he added.

Ahok’s quote above dates from last month, when Tired-Out Prasetio and Tiresome Taufik were still propelling their grand design to miserabilise Jakara. Now the sad sacks seem to be on the verge of success.

One must hope that our good Governor has the clout to kick the cretinous ‘clock-in-for-bedtime-story-time’ scheme into the Thousand Islands Bay…

…speaking of which, I heard there was an even more hare-brained proposal, to exile all nightlife to one of those little islands off Jakarta’s shore.

    • idiot
    • Is there a concerted strategy to turn this very lively capital city into a hell on earth, or is it just crass stupidity?

I think you write wise words on this and funny also with the man Prasetio having his cocoa at bed time, although Indonesian people do not have this tradition.
Ahok is a good governor and I hope he can save Jakarta from fools. Only FPI will support DPRD wish to stop fun at night and they are ALWAYS wrong.
This is good to read to begin my day. Thank you so much.

They are so self-righteous, it’s hard to take them seriously. You are probably optimistic, Ross, if you think Ahok can stop people so bent on destroying everything that makes Jakarta liveable.
Where do we all go eventually, Cambodia? I know one expat who is checking out Yangon for nightlife.
It IS sad, after so much fun here for so many years, to see this caliber of nitwit ruining it for everyone except their rich friends

    • ati 09:09 on October 9, 2015 Permalink | Reply

Yes. It is crazy idea, why not call them evening clubs not night clubs. Jakarta Councilors all crazy, no thinking for young people, only for bored boring people.
