France – ‘Je Ne Regrete Rien?’ Mais Non!

It is still mildly astonishing, and not only to me, that a nasty little smarmite like Macron got to be President of France!

Ignoring all the other misdeeds he’s overseen, the war on Islamist terror would have been all but won by now, I’d say, if the excellent Marine Le Pen had entered the Elysee Palace…

…assuming – admittedly a large assumption  – she had a National Assembly majority to approve the needful reforms, like mass internment, mass deportations and, hopefully, restoration of the guillotine.

I like to listen to Edith Piaf’s spirited rendering of ‘Je Ne Regrete Rien’ from time to time.

It’s surely doubtful that many a French voter can say today that he or she, like Piaf, has ‘no regrets.’

And here’s an encouraging confirmation of that doubt.

French leader Emmanuel Macron’s party LREM is polling to win 21.5 percent of votes in next year’s EU election, compared to 21 percent by the far-right, the Rassemblement National (formerly called the National Front), …a previous poll in May put his party on 27 percent versus the far-right’s 17 percent…https://euobserver.com/tickers/142846

    Vive Marine!

Worst of all was Macron using Avergne missile frigate to shoot down Russian spy plane over Lattakia on Tuesday . Only the shrewd Russians could have avoided sinking it and taking NATO’s bait by cleverly going along with US claims it was Syria . WWIII could easily have been started by crazy neo-con nutters and French poodle willing to put his own ship and crew in lethal peril for ‘benefit’ of Israeli and USA loonies.

Yes. Macron is unstable and my neighbour all regret voting for him.
Le Pen was the better choice.
Now he is afraid she can bring him down so what is he making his judges do?
      See the news. Kremlin strategy!

Le Brexit? ‘Je Ne Regrette Rien!’ Say Most Brits!

Had to smile at an intro to an EUObserver article yesterday – As in Brussels, London’s political and financial class takes its leave for the month of August. Westminster is populated only by selfie-taking tourists…- how one wishes that London, and the UK as a whole, might be blessed with a 365-day August!

How wonderful, if the political and financial class never came back from their vacations!

But more interesting to read, given that EUObserver has often been a Europhiliac cheer-leader against us wicked ‘populists’ (aka patriots and democrats) is this shorter piece.

    Hasil gambar untuk je regrette

A majority of Brits do not regret June’s Brexit decision. When asked by YouGov whether Britain “was right or wrong to leave the European Union” 46% of responders confirmed their desire to exit, while 42% said they do not find that the outcome of the vote was correct. https://euobserver.com/tickers/134593

So the muesli-munching millenial ‘Brit-Brats in The Park’ can go crying all they like to the Remain has-beens like Heseltine and Clarke…

…who are cooking up a treason-plot at Westminster hoping to thwart the people’s will.

Kenneth Clarke is just bloody awful, while Michael Heseltine is so senescent that he’s forgotten that rare occasion when he recognised realities…

The British public sees with blinding clarity. - Michael Heseltine

Instead, they reckon a reckless Lords/Commons conspiracy would suffice. Curse the Snake That Hisses From History’s Dust-Bin

If they do that, and I wonder if they really are that stupid, there would be ample justification for revolution…
