Jakarta Scumbag Mob Beat Up Middle-Aged Academic…WHY?

After my warning to stay away from that student demo in Jakarta at the weekend, not on grounds of likely violence but simply because of traffic congestion…

Jakarta Besok? Stay Home Monday 11/4

….it was appalling to read of a vicious attack, on a university lecturer in late middle age, ‘widely known as a supporter of President Jokowi.’

According to the Jakarta Globe, ‘ several women suddenly shouted insults at Ade, 60…

“You’re a hypocrite! Your life doesn’t do any good!” .

“What did I do wrong?” Ade replied…as the situation became tense and he was being mobbed by the protesters.

The crowd began to chant: “Kill! Kill Ade Armando!”

Setelah Dikeroyok, Kondisi Ade Armando Memprihatinkan, Terluka di Bagian Kepala

    The dirty savages punched him…

….knocked him to the ground and stripped him.

It took ‘dozens of riot police to rescue him from the yellow-bellied brutes…

… some of whom were caught on camera punching and kicking the activist.

“If you don’t turn yourself in, we will get you,” Jakarta Police Chief Fadil has declared.

    Good for Fadil!

So who were the low-life scum…

…who launched this gutless assault on a man at least twice their age?

    And WHY was he targetted?

    No idea, but…

…the JG closes its report with this little gem.

In 2017, Ade was reported to police over alleged blasphemy after he tweeted: “Allah is not an Arab.”
But police later terminated the blasphemy charge against Ade, who is a Muslim.

    Now we’re getting somewhere!

The Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 Novel Bamukmin claimed that the beating against social media activist and UI Fisip Lecturer Ade Armando during a demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building on Monday (11/4/2022) was motivated by the blasphemy case by Ade.

..Novel Bakmunin……Jakarta Fanatics “Can’t Prevent” Harassment Of French Expats! . ……on whom we’ve reported many a time.

Novel said that Ade was massed by demonstration participants because the blasphemy case against Islam that ensnared him was not followed up by law enforcement officials. Novel said that Ade had become a suspect but seemed immune to the positive law.

      The thugs shame Indonesia.
The man they attacked is not a, bad man but even if he was bad, there are no excuses for the cowards.
I think 10 years in prison or more years, is fair for this violence.

I see the police have got 2 or 3 of these in custody and have named the rest as wanted.
There are sme very bad people in this city,
They think if he was outspoken about religion, anything the criminals did was alright.
Just see all the gloating on social media.

    Another Fanatic Friday? Avoid Downtown!

The sectarian zealots are really making a meal out of their latest excuse for shuffle-strutting.

Arrest The Pastor!’ Demand By Top Jakarta Legislator!

To you and me, it might seem archaic to want a man arrested for what I, at least, regard as the mediaeval ‘offence’ of ‘blasphemy!’

But we know there are bloodthirsty primitives out there, or at least out here..

Brutal Paris Beheader A ‘Hero,’ Says Jakarta Fanatic!

…who think arrest would be a mere appetiser.

Whatever you think, the fanatics will be causing traffic problems in Jakarta tomorrow, 25/3, so unless you have urgent business in town tomorrow, best stay home.

I was planning to go shopping for bacon…

    ….but that’ll keep till Saturday.

    What’s all about?

It’s that PA212 mob, who intend to stage a rally in front of the State Palace….

to ask for blasphemers to be arrested.

Not just one alleged ‘blasphemer,’ not just the pastor, but Indonesia’s admirable Minister of Religion, Gus Yaqut…

Jakarta New Year Hope? Pak Gus Pondering Repeal?

Menakar Kapasitas Yaqut Cholil Qoumas sebagai Menteri

    Yaqut Cholil Qoumas…

Indonesia – Fiery Fury Over Freedom Banners – But Good For Gus!

    ..and verily an all-star cast!

“Arrest and imprison the religious blasphemers Yaqut, Saepudin, Abu Janda and others,” said PA 212 Chairperson Slamet Maarif. .

As usual, I ask why these people insist on calling for ‘thousands’ of their fans to show up on a Friday, a working day…

…maximising inconvenience to normal commuting Jakarta folk.

    Sunday would make more sense.

Fanatic’s Fans To Cause Jakarta Traffic Hell Again?

And once again, deliberately staging their demo ‘action’ on a working day rather than a Sunday, the followers of Rizieq the Fanatic are likely to cause major disruption to decent citizens of all creeds trying to go about their lawful business.

Jakarta Facing Another Fanatic Friday – and Thursday…and Besok?

    Not for the first time!

Even in the current situation, caused by the Chinese Virus, traffic can get bad in Jakarta.

It seems those notorious sectarians, the ‘Alumni,’ aka PA 212, are going to hold their demo outside President Jokowi’s State Palace tomorrow….

…demanding the release from detention of Rizieq the Fanatic, the ‘grand imam’ of the infamous self-styled  ‘Islam Defenders Front……’

    ….after Friday prayers!’

    That’s 1pm tomorrow!

0000000PA 212 will have a large demonstration at the Presidential Palace, Friday (18/12/2020).

On the poster there’s a cheery message from Rizieq.

If I am imprisoned or killed, continue the struggle.”

Curiously, the malcontents are saying the main organisers are not the so-called ‘alumni’ but a relatively new outfit on the sectarian scene, ‘Anak NKRI’ – ‘the Children of the Republic of Indonesia!”

I suspect ( and hope!) these ‘children’ will not turn out to be actual little kids but merely a mob of extremists, similar to those who shuffled past the palace a number of years past.

The protesters, most of whom were men dressed in white Muslim attire, were heard yelling, “We want a Muslim governor,” “Burn Ahok!” and “Kafir!”   http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/10/14/thousands-hard-liners

However, having said that, my thoughts strayed to those repulsive chanting brats I wrote about

….when the fanatics’ witch-hunt against the Christian Governor of Jakarta was under way a few years ago.

A Million-Strong Fanatic Mob In Jakarta Today?

Believe it or not, but, eager to ward off the pandemical gloom, I was planning to shop for tinsel today.

Putting up the tree early is a small but hopefully effective way to counteract the Chinese Virus’s depressive impact, which even gets my cheerful self down now and then!

Tinsel’s not hard to get even in minimarts but I like going into town, mingling with other people on the TransJakarta buses…

Take the bus, don’t contribute to traffic jams!

….enjoying a stroll down those still relatively new broad sidewalks on Sudirman.

Not everybody is WFH so although the city centre is not as crowded as once it was, it’s a helluva lot more congenial that the lonesome streets of my komplek.

However, according to at least some of the Indonesian media, there may actually be intense congestion downtown…THIS VERY MORNING!

I refer to a report on the summons delivered by police to Rizieq the Fanatic.

The Fanatic Returns! Indonesian “Scholar” Offers Warm Welcome!

    • FPI ‘grand imam, Habib Rizieq, who condemned Jakarta’s then-Governor Ahok for unacceptably quoting some Koranic verse –.
    • We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq
    •  http://www.suara.com/news/2016/10/14/134313/
    • 0000000000000

I could write about his antics every day, but frankly it’s wearisome. He has no small opinion of himself, and one’s increasingly reluctant to feed his ego.

However, if it’s true that the summons requires him to present himself at Polda Metro Jaya ( city police HQ)

    …at 10am today…

    Polda Metro

…and it seems to be so, as the Okezone report features a photo of the summons, then it MAY also be true that he will be accompanied by a MILLION ranting sectarian fanatics.

At least so says Rizieq’s faithful follower, Novel Bamukmin, Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212!

We have noticed Novel often over the years, even before he demonstrated his Islamic supremacism and his sexism with that famous quote…

Novel has featured here before, for enlightened statements which bring such credit to his cause.

“…women already have limitations, let alone non- Muslims!”

….and not to forget his charming riposte to the beautiful Nikita Mirzani.

….whose witty jibes against Rizieq have been delighting the citizenry for weeks..

If she doesn’t apologise, I take no responsibility for mayhem on the part of Muslims who are Habib devotees.’

Novel says that Rizieq’s fans will show up too, from all regions and that can whiten Polda Metro Jaya..”

    An odd choice of words.

Will the fanatics bring brushes and paint and do some honest toil, refurbishment of the cop-shop?

    That’ll be the day!

It’s more likely a reference to the white uniforms that Rizieq’s FPI vigilante gang sport…

…on their sectarian raids and parades.

Novel predicts that if Habib Rizieq attended the summons by Polda Metro Jaya, millions of people would also attend to escort him.

So should we believe Novel’s boast?

If a million of those white-shirts did appear, the main north-south artery would be clogged for miles, all the way from Blok M in the south to Kota in the north.

I can imagine trying to squeeze through, on my way to Grand Indonesia mall.

Excuse me, chaps, can I get by, please….’

..’I need to buy some Christmas decorations!’

But in fact, I suspect Novel’s prediction may not be put to the test.

Rizieq and his crew tend to regard themselves as above the law. The summons is related to alleged violations of the virus rules.

The Fanatic may simply decide to send his lawyer with a doctor’s note!

Jakarta Boycott Reality Check? Ask Fadli, Caught Smiling With Trump!

Presumably not many fanatical Islamists go shopping at the Galerie Lafayette (there is a branch here in Jakarta) but then neither do I, though I have wandered in while waiting for friends in town.

Most department stores here are staffed by cuties…

…so it makes more sense to admire them than hang about in some expensive coffee-shop!

I don’t know how many of the items on sale are imported from France, but if they are, they’ll be out of my price league anyway, and probably that’s about the only thing I have in common…

…with those who went shuffling along on the very short ‘Long March’ a few years ago!

Beware! Very Short Fanatic ‘Long March,’ Jakarta, This Friday!

That’s the problem the extremists will encounter on their proposed ‘boikot’ of French goods, their notion of retaliation for the welcome, if belated…

.Macron Man – ‘Dissolve Enemies of France’ – Why Only Now?

…moves by Macron in the wake of the brutal sectarian atrocity in Paris two weeks ago.

Harsh reality check for Islamists, but as the headline in one Indonesian newspaper reminded them…

Rich people who are fans of luxury brands don’t necessarily want to boycott French products

But interesting to read on and be unsurprised that it’s not only the FPI notable, Habib Novel Bamukmin, a regular subject of concern in my pages…

Novel has featured here before, for enlightened statement which bring such credit to his cause.   – “women already have limitations, let alone non- Muslims!” http://megapolitan.kompas.com/read/2013/10/26/1937287/.FPIMenolak.Lurah.Susan.Harga.Mati

Jakarta Facing Another Fanatic Friday – and Thursday…and Besok?

….who’s being shrill for a boycott. He’s been a busy fellow over the years….

FPI leader Habib Novel on trial for violent protest,

There’s somebody else we have mentioned over the years, who holds a senior position in the DPR ( parliament) a certain Fadli Zon, who has also joined in the boycott chorus.

    Hasil gambar untuk fadli zon

Fadli Zon, who previously distinguished himself when he criticized the military’s decision to strip Lebak military commander of his post for recruiting the FPI in Banten to take the training recently, calling the decision “regrettable”.

Mr. Fadli Zon is undoubtedly rich – he’s a senior politician, after all! – and could surely ask around his equally rich colleagues if they, or their wives and daughters, will shun French imports.

He’s not a man I have much time for.

We covered Fadli’s declaration of ‘open house’ at the Indonesian Parliament buildings a couple of years ago.

The Deputy Speaker was eager to offer accommodation to Islamist extremists who’d come into Jakarta for the fanatic demo which ended in shocking violence that awful Friday night.

Will Fadli Open ‘The People’s House” To Jakarta’s Homeless?

We asked if he would be equally hospitable to people who genuinely need somewhere to sleep, like Jakarta’s homeless.

I didn’t expect a response, nor did I get one.

But now I am reminded of an even more pressing case that ought to stir Fadli’s charitable instincts, namely, those Ahmadi refugees.

Fadli Zon justified his offer to let intolerant extremists sleep over in the House of Representatives by saying it’s the ‘house of the people.’

The plight of the Ahmadis remains dire.

Petisi – Kebebasan Beragama! Freedom Of Religion!

But my overseas readers will maybe be more interested in another photo of Fadli Zon we used around that time, which I’d forgotten all about!

According to the Deputy Chairman of Gerindra, the meeting was only limited to friendship. As a future president and also a businessman, Trump is a friend of Indonesia. Fadli even said he had taken a photo with Trump in a selfie and asked for an autograph.  http://en.metrotvnews.com/read/2015/09/04/427845/meeting-with-donald-trump-fadli-zon-said-that-it-all-spontaneous

Jakarta Selasa? Just Stay At Home!

Jakarta’s Governor Anies Baswedan is not unfamiliar with the rabid sectarian fanatics who call themselves the Islam Defenders Front (FPI)….

    • Anies wins an adoring smile from ferocious FPI ‘grand imam, Habib Rizieq, who had recently suggested the Christian Governor Ahok be slain for unacceptably quoting some Koranic verse –.“We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq.
    • ….

….but he may have mixed feelings about their latest move.

Along with a clutch of other Islamist extremist bodies, including the notorious PA 212…

… whose ‘marchers’ so proudly showed off their civic conscience during the campaign (alas successful) to have Anies’ Christian predecessor Ahok jailed for ‘blasphemy…’

Ahok, now thankfully out of jail

    Slouching Towards Shariah

….the FPI are taking to the streets of Indonesia’s capital tomorrow, motivated, so they claim, by the same anger that drove last Friday’s demo, namely the passage of the labor reform law.

You may wonder why I wouldn’t join a demo organised by something calling itself the ‘National Anti-Communist Alliance,’ as there’s nobody more hostile to marxism than I am.

Let’s just say, when it comes to whom I march with, I’m a tad picky. And besides, I respect and applaud Indonesian law, that forbids non-Indonesians interfering in the country’s internal affairs.

That demo last Friday turned into mayhem, millions of dollars worth of damage done and hundreds, or thousands, detained by police.

Portland Indonesia? Thugs Stone Cops! Black-Clad Louts!

At least 11 Transjakarta bus stations were ransacked by the protestors, with the one near Hotel Indonesia roundabout burned down to the ground.

There is every reason to believe that demo was infiltrated by undesirables, maybe Antifa Red Nazis, or paid criminals or….who knows?

We await more details on who organised that!

Given how the FPI have displayed ferocious blood-lust in previous demos..

…methinks Governor Anies, and the rest of us, will be hoping for no action replays.

As for me, with the relaxation of the virus rules, I was contemplating a trip into town…

…but a trifle uncertain, as the busways were targetted for vandalism by the rabble last week and I’m not sure if all the routes are running.

Now, however, I have made up my mind.

Given a choice of navigating streets a-swarm with a fanatic mob, or not?

    Easy decision!

    Just stay home!

ITWA! Whose Red Flag Did Jakarta Fanatics Burn?

I wrote about this lady over a month ago…

    Very Brave Indonesian Lady

    …and now…ITWA!

    …it’s that woman again!

    Dewi Tanjung

As I explained then, Dewi Tanjung is a politician in one of the most pluralist parties, the PDI-P ( the party of President Jokowi) and she has gained a reputation for what’s described in the West as ‘shooting from the hip.’

Now she’s taking a legal pot-shot at the self-styled ‘Alumni,’ the PA 212, whom I have also mentioned from time to time.

They are the fanatic Islamists whose use of the word ‘alumni’ continues to baffle me, since in English it means graduates and the words and actions of those who participate in their demos…

The protesters, most of whom were men dressed in white Muslim attire, were heard yelling, “We want a Muslim governor,” “Burn Ahok!” and “Kafir!”   http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/10/14/thousands-hard-liners    ..

….do not suggest the style or substance of what one expects to hear in a typical Oxbridge junior common room!

Whilst I use my blog to express my anger and dismay at events here in Indonesia and around the world, the fanatics take to Jakarta’s streets…

Howling Hate, Islamist Bigot Wishes Corona On India!

Fanatics on the left, normal Indonesians on the right- a recent 212 demo in Jakarta!

Islamist Fanatics Rage At India – ‘Diskriminasi?’ Oya?’

…causing real traffic problems for honest citizens trying to go about their lawful business.

However, the PA212 and I have one common dislike!

However, whereas I focus on the realities of marxist evil, whether Adolf-the-Pooh’s Beijing version….

…or the Cultural Marxism of the BLM racist wreckers in the West…

…the ‘alumni’ prefer to focus on the long-banned ( and rightly banned!) PKI ( the Indonesian Communist Party ) which, while an undoubtedly treasonous and deplorable entity…

…commands almost no sympathy or support, apart from certain leftist media hacks.

There’s a current controversy over the PKI flag, which the ‘alumni’ appear to think is entangled with Dewi Tanjung’s PDI-P, for obscure reasons which you may examine here…

… and now Dewi has turned the tables, reporting them to the police, for possession of that beastly banner!

My purpose here is to report the Presidium 212 regarding ownership, storage and publication of the PKI flag,” Dewi said at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police SPKT, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Dewi explained that it is not sold in markets, so she is suspicious about the provenance of the banned party flag. “We want to question, where they had it, before they had it burned during their demonstrations,” said Dewi.

Previously, the burning of the PDIP flag and the PKI flag occurred during a demonstration against the HIP bill at the Indonesian House of Representatives on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. The burning video went viral on social media….

While burning a Communist banner is an agreeable pastime, if you do so in a country where possession of a Communist flag is prohibited….

….how come you were in possession of the damned red rag before you burned it?

One looks forward to a full and frank fanatic response!

Jokowi Faces New Fanatic Threat : ‘Civil Disobedience!’

Recently I have focused much of my bloggery on the outrageous behaviour of Red China.

The Beijing Bully Xi deserves every condemnation we here and many other voices all over the world have issued.

In no way are such fulminations anti-Chinese, in the sense of hostility towards Chinese people, either those held in subjection by the Communists dictatorship on the mainland…

    ….or anywhere else.

    That’s self-evident!

Our repeated expressions of solidarity with the brave young resistance in Hong Kong…

….and with Free China aka Taiwan…

…and with the decent Chinese-ethnic Canadians and Australians…

If Chinese Folks Come To Free Countries To Seek Freedom, WELCOME! Otherwise…?

    Image result for pro-beijing sydney

Communist vermin in Australia, confronting decent Chinese, just as happened in Canada!

“This is Canada! Go back to China!”

…make it plain we are NOT blaming Chinese people for the evil done by Chinese Communist despots.

If, on the other hand, we, or anyone else, began ranting how nobody should be..

“…opening the door to foreign workers, especially  Chinese…”

…then we would be seen, rightly, as pandering to prejudice against Chinese people per se.

That quote above comes from a collection of Indonesian Islamist fanatics, who have issued a declaration, in response to the detention of a notorious extremist, which would be laughable were it not, during the virus crisis…

China is Lying, Coronavirus started in Wuhan

    …so menacing.

“We urge that the parties and officials who are carrying out an anti-Islam agenda immediately return the status of Habib Bahar bin Smith to the original condition of assimilation status…”

Asimilasi here refers to the prisoner virus amnesty.

Skip the absurd accusation that the Muslim President Jokowi…

…his overwhelmingly Muslim cabinet, and the more or less entirely Muslim high command of the security forces are even remotely contemplating an ‘Anti-Islam agenda!

Skip too the notion that there are loads of ‘Foreign Workers’ (Chinese or otherwise) pouring into Jakarta.

    Smith, with fans

We have noted that fanatic H bin Smith already…

Virus Amnesty – Indonesian Fanatic Released!

…and been appalled by the threat of a disorderly demo…

    Indonesia’s Islamists Threaten Mob Mayhem!

…but now the extremists are upping the ante, not just a one-off outburst of mayhem, but wholesale obstruction of the already shaky anti-virus effort.

If these demands are not met, they invite all Muslims to undertake civil disobedience to the entire government

The declaration of disruptive intent is reportedly published by a variety of individuals and outfits, the link above mentioning both the FPI and the MUI.

The latter is the state-sponsored official council of ‘scholars…’

and there are no doubt wayward members thereof…

Islamist ‘Scholar’ in Racist Rant -“Ahok Anggap Jakarta Ini Sebuah Kota di Cina…”

We’re Not Racist, Just Bigots – So…About That ‘Chinese City?’

…as we have recorded when we wrote often on that organisation.

But it would be surprising, alarming, if the MUI as a body sided with the jailed fanatic against the government.

However, the FPI is a different matter.

The self-styled ‘Islam Defenders Front’ is not shy about espousing violence against other ethnic or religious groups, as can be seen from that photo.

And when we read that the ‘declaration’ has the name of FPI’s Sobri Lubis appended thereto…

…we need to recall his infamous rant. Just watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7RLCXNdKF4  –which shows him issuing his monstrous call for his rabble audience to ‘Bunuh, Bunuh, Bunuh (KILL KILL KILL!) innocent Ahmadis.

….incitement for which he was never prosecuted, BTW!

And when we note also that the PA 212 is involved, whose extremely short ‘Long March’ we wrote about a few days ago…

The protesters, most of whom were men dressed in white Muslim attire, were heard yelling, “We want a Muslim governor,” “Burn Ahok!” and “Kafir!”   http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/10/14/thousands-hard-liners-march-against-ahok.htm

Beware! Very Short Fanatic ‘Long March,’ Jakarta, This Friday!

Time for the good people of Jakarta to reach for their safety belts!
