Seriously, Folks! Something Readable In The Guardian!

Something worth reading ( not to refute it but on its merits) in the Guardian!

It’s a true life tale of some brave West German school-girls thirty years ago, who helped a young East German guy escape the nightmare of life in the Communist tyranny.

Read and enjoy, but I hope you, like I did, notice a couple of jarring details – and I don’t mean the reporter’s peculiar description of the Soviet puppet state as ‘socialist.’

    It was COMMUNIST!

But it is more disturbing to read that the young heroines were given a hard time, in their West German school, by pro-communist teachers.

Who on earth allowed Enemy Within red sympathisers to get and hold positions of authority, able to influence if not indoctrinate youngsters?

Marxists are suitable for street-cleaning or dish-washing, but not for any pedagogical positions.

We have often looked at their abuse of such academic employment in contemporary America and other Western countries.

Still, a good read, and nice to read about decent young folks in the evil DDR who, unlike Mama Stasi Merkel, did not sell their souls to the red gestapo.

How the Stasi operated comes across loud and clear in the ripping yarn, and it tells us much about Merkel’s flawed character that she saw nothing wrong in collaborating with the vicious secret police.

It’s not exactly my usual breakfast time but brunchtime also works. I like to read something with my coffee and toast and fried eggs and more coffee.
That story of rescue and the unfair backlash the rescuers received from pro-communist teachers was very interesting. You are right to ask why those reds were employed in schools in West Germany. I hope they did not become school principals with more power to bully.
Overall, happy ending for most. Not everybody would be as brave as the girls and they deserve recognition.
How good to know that the rescued boy made good in his new life of freedom,

      Read it!
      Very worth reading.
If it’s true that communist sympathising teachers were already inflitrating German schools thirty years ago, this is a useful contribution to modern history.
It at least partially explains why so many young Germans today, when schools are crawling with far left teaching staff, emerge totally addled.

Swiss Shirt Wars – Pinko Teacher Expels Edelweiss Teen Patriots!

    • ——————

This outbreak of PC anti-patriot insanity last month saw a bunch of harmless teenagers at Sekundarschule Berg, in Gossau, picked on by a multicult ninny teacher because of her concerns the students were making a racist statement about Swiss citizens.

According to The Local, the school administration was quick to disown the daft bint, and indeed the nincompoop herself recognized that she had over-reacted.

Unfortunately, we can’t find a photo of Fraulein Ninny  – or even her real name – or we’d start this year’s Imbecile of the Year contest early!

But it does seem germane to ask why the school hasn’t fired the dumb pinko puke.

The students themselves said they wanted to show that they were patriotic and proud of being Swiss, according to reports. “You can wear an Islamic veil but receive a warning for an edelweiss shirt, it’s incomprehensible.”

Yes, it is incomprehensible, bot of course there is no religious requirement for Muslim girls, or women of any age, to cover their heads.

‘An Archaic Tribal Rag’ – Wise UK Muslim Imam Says ‘Ban the Burqa!’

It’s on the BBC! Bag-Head Bans Do Not Infringe Religious Liberty!

Fiery Islamists – ‘Head-Scarves NOT a Big Issue!’

Our Indonesian President Jokowi has a wife as Muslim as himself, who doesn’t go around be-scarfed, nor did President Megawati when she ruled the country.

Megawati and daughter Puan – currently a government minister. Please note, NO scarves!

A ban on scarfing would be perfectly legitimate, if it’s school uniforms we’re talking about.

But NOT shirts, unless there are precise rules about what sort of shirt must be worn.

There aren’t, not in Sekundarschule Berg! – ‘this shirt does not violate the dress code of our establishment and is not banned’ (School Principal Patrick Perenzin)

And good to hear the kids are getting support both from parents and the more sensible of their elders.

… most of the MPs in the Valais cantonal parliament from the nationalist Swiss People’s Party (SVP) showed up wearing the edelweiss shirt, in support of the students.

At the same time, SVP said it was using the shirt as a symbol of the “love of our country as well as the respect for the values of our ancestors, respect for the values of the land upon which modern Switzerland is born.”

    Well said!

Such words are much-needed, in view of this extract from our previous post.

An immigrant group based in Bern has called for the emblematic white cross to be removed from the Swiss national flag because as a Christian symbol it “no longer corresponds to today’s multicultural Switzerland.”

Islamist Flag Demands Make Swiss – and Ross – Cross!

And Gott im Himmel knows there is a threat to Switzerland from the ENEMY WITHIN.

All as you say but there is more, the teacher has many non-Swiss in her class and she will not let them be upset by patriotism of the young Swiss.
      Yes, she should be fired.

I note that the flag shown is the 2:3 type flown on board ships and boats, as opposed to square version usually seen.

        Well noted, sir.
A stunning rebuke to my old high school teacher who told us that Swiss Navy was a good example of an oxymoron.
