Send Them Home, Not To Beijing’s Despotism!

If a South Korean steps out of line in a foreign country, he or she would quite rightly risk deportation.

To South Korea, NOT North Korea.

It’s hard to imagine any argument which might be adduced to justify deportation of anyone to the hideous tyranny that rules from Pyongyang.

Yet this very month we read that Indonesia has deported Taiwanese law-breakers to Red China, where, as the recent shameful treatment of that dissident exemplified –Liu Xiaobo: China’s most prominent dissident dies – BBC News – justice is not something that is often to be seen or heard.

Taiwan’s foreign ministry said its deported nationals were among over 140 Chinese and Taiwanese suspects arrested in raids on July 29 in various locations including Jakarta, the city of Surabaya and on the resort island of Bali.

    Red China, an imperialist dictatorship

In a statement the ministry said Jakarta had ignored Taipei’s request that the Taiwanese suspects be returned to the island and instead sent them on Thursday to the mainland cities of Chengdu and Tianjin.  http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/08/03/taiwan-protests-indonesia-deportations-of-suspects-to-china-.html

If these guys are guilty, or not, they should be dealt with here in Indonesia, or deported to their own country.

And all the more so because the police and courts there are answerable to the people, in stark contrast to the situation on the mainland…

…where an unelected communist dictatorship continues to cower from free elections and dispenses marxist ‘justice’ which, in every country ever ruled by marxists, has been shown to be no justice at all.

Indonesia, of all countries, should be fully aware of the nature of Beijing’s ruling class.

It was the interception of Red China’s despatch of thousands of guns to the traitorous PKI (Indonesian Communist Party) back in 1965…

….which fully opened the eyes of Indonesian patriots to the threat of red take-over.

Nowadays Mao’s heirs may wear suits and smiles as they impose their will on the Chinese people, but they have never repudiated the monstrous Mao as their inspiration. The Communist Party fist remains tightly closed on the reins of control.

Hasil gambar untuk republic of china

Yet Taiwanese, citizens of the Republic of China, not the so-called ”People’s Republic,” are nevertheless handed over to that closed fist?

One can only hope this deportation policy will be reviewed and that it is not being operated as a means of promoting commercial links with the larger market which economic advisers perceive.

Pagi, Evi! You Hate Hypocrisy? Why Work For Jakarta Post?

It’s a glorious hot, sunny morning in Jakarta, so I am drinking coffee and browsing media output – no visitors today, as my usual guests will be back at work after enjoying their weekend.

Lucky me – a day of agreeable indolence looms.

    • Hasil gambar untuk sunny coffee morning
    • ——————–
    • And here’s what’s caught my eye!
    • No, not the coffee-cup!
    • The following peculiar accusation of hypocrisy aimed at Jakarta’s Governor Ahok!

many of my friends cheered when Ahok said the FPI should be disbanded without realizing that it was actually a violation of the Constitution, Article 28I paragraph 1 on freedom of assembly and expressing opinion to be exact.

That’s an extract from a JP article by some lady I’ve never heard of, called Evi Mariani. No surprise I don’t know her – she’s a ‘staff writer for the Jakarta Post.’

I do wonder if the Jakarta Post is planning to endorse one of Ahok’s opponents. There have been straws in the wind before this –The Jakarta Post’s Horrible Hate Headline!

However, it’s unlikely to sway many votes – it’s a contemptible, hypocritical newspaper, whose advice decent people should ignore.

It purports to be ‘liberal’ while maintaining total editorial silence about one of the worst examples of sectarian censorship Jakarta has seen in recent years.

We take every opportunity to remind everyone around the world of the JP’s failure to condemn the Hitlerian book-burning committed a couple of years ago by the newspaper’s parent company, grovelling Gramedia, at the behest of Islamist fanatics.

Grovelling Gramedia’s BookBurning Bonanza – Appeasing Fanatics

    • burning books

    • The book’s ‘offence’ was that it upset the most extreme fanatics in the archipelago
    • …………………..

Ms. Evi’s words above are part of a diatribe against Governor Ahok, whom thousands of ignoramuses currently want to murder because he allegedly used a verse from the Koran in a way that fanatics don’t like.

    • ahok

Ahok, a man long hated by the forces of darkness..

Look Who’s Talking? FPI Lout Munarman Calls Ahok Arrogant!

Jakarta Jew-Haters Boo Chinese Christian Candidate

There are criticisms properly to be levelled against Ahok, his silliness about bikinis-  ”Outrageous” Activity in Jakarta Pools? OMG – BIKINIS! …..and more seriously, his harsh demolition of Kali Jodo…

Wong Cilik, Ahok, TNI – Tragedi Kali Jodo!

But at this time it might be wiser to focus on the gangster group that seeks to use shariah law to justify having him put to death him…the very FPI that Evi reckons has ‘rights.’

The IslamoNazi record speaks for itself.

There are individuals and groups here in Indonesia who believe in shariah law with all its iniquitous cruelties…

    • ma'arruf amin

    • Ma’aruf

    • ———-

It was MUI’s Deputy Chair, Ma’aruf, who kindly advised everyone that FGM is a ‘human right!’

And here’s another of their ‘scholars’ talking.

Syamsul Maarif,  General Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Jakarta

“If the act of adultery is by a married person, then stoning is the sentence, while if unmarried, then it’s whipping,” he said.

Evi may be right in her interpretation of the constitution – maybe these people do have the right to demand law-codes that seek to institutionalise oppression.

    It’s debatable.

Since WW2, Nazi parties, even verbal expressions of support for Nazism, have been banned in Germany and other European countries.

    Birds of a feather

Yet Nazism’s evil twin, Communism, is permitted!

Something very wrong about those Western bans – a total double-standard.

Communism, in fact, killed more innocents than Hitler. One reason why the vicious totalitarians of the PKI, Indonesian Communist Party, are outlawed here.

Nazis and Communists are both monstrous – if one monster is banned, both should be.

However, let’s concentrate on the present-day danger, the FPI, whose record of malevolent violence and incitement to murder is hardly news…

    fpi kill busddhist

    FPI’s Sobri Lubis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7RLCXNdKF4  –KILL, KILL, KILL‘ innocent members of the Ahmadiyah minority.

…but they must be news to Evi, since she doesn’t want the FPI banned. The above examples are not ‘rogue’ members of the white-shirt hoodlum outfit, but typical. They seriously think shariah outweighs the law of the land.

So, Evi, why NOT outlaw them, as the PKI reds are banned?

But as to Ahok – his outspokenness is one of the most attractive features of his character…

Fanatic Islamist Wails At Christian Governor – “He Calls People Names!”

…a refreshing contrast to the mealy-mouthed euphemisms we hear too often, and not just from other politicians!

Many journo hacks are notable for their pathetic use of the term ‘a certain religion‘ instead of naming which creed they mean – we here in Indonesia can usually figure it out, but overseas readers are left to try to discern whether Jehovah’s Witnesses or Zen Buddhists are involved…big hint – they’re not!

    It’s deliberate, craven media dishonesty.

    Evi’s final words are puzzling.

I used to be proud of calling myself a liberal.

Why anyone would say such a thing is beyond me. Liberalism is naught to be proud of.

    However, there’s hope.

Now, I am not so sure anymore.

She should make up her mind, and, if she hates hypocrisy so much, resign from the Jakarta Post.

Bravo, Jokowi – No Crawling To Unrepentant Red Rats!

Great to see the Jakarta Post has failed in its tireless campaigning…

Jakarta Post’s ‘Red Apology’ Clique Getting Desperate?

. … on behalf of the unrepentant red vermin of the PKI (Indonesian Communist Party)

    pkiposter Vicious PKI thugs

President Jokowi has now made it unequivocally clear that the government would not apologize to the now defunct Indonesian Communist Party

Jokowi said his government will focus on the future by developing the nation to gain competitiveness with other countries, not looking back on the country’s past…

Jokowi –  “…nobody will apologize to PKI,” he said.

Personally I’ve always been able to see the case for some kind of statement of regret aimed at the innocent people who suffered because of the PKI.

I mean poor folk victimised for just being related to reds, or falsely accused of being reds.

One must also have sympathy for the hundreds of thousands killed because the PKI duped them into their labour and peasant collaborationist fronts.

That no such conclusion has come about is surely the fault of the Jakarta Post ( and some other media) which failed totally to draw a distinction between those hapless folk and the actual villains of the piece…

    communism tyranny

…the Communists, many of whom, aged but still evil, have STILL not repudiated the totalitarian hypocrisy which was (and of course still is) the essence of marxism everywhere. .

If the comsymp scribblers had drawn that distinction, some sort of apology might well have been forthcoming.

Barbarians Rising? Another Dose of Revisionist History!

Another sunny day here in Jakarta, and I’m planning my dynamic day.

I have recently been watching the History Channel more often, and will do so again tonight, as their much-heralded ‘Barbarians Rising’ series begins.

The previews have intrigued me, not least the image of Boudicca, that courageous Queen of the Iceni, who inhabited parts of what is now East Anglia. Her capital was Colchester, which the Romans called Camulodunum.

That has always made me wonder if it was the site of Camelot, legendary stronghold of Artorius, another, later, British champion – but that’s another story .

In school we learned of the Queen’s heroic resistance war, though her name then was rendered Boadicea,

The latest star to play the role is a nifty Scottish actress named Kirsty Mitchell, who was born in Glasgow and thus presumably knows how to handle tough guys!.

    Kirsty Mitchell

Her photo above actually reminds me of somebody I met in a Blok M bar here in Jakarta a few years ago, at least the approach to make-up as illustrated.

But the objective of the series is revisionism, the idea being that, to date, historians have written almost everything from the Roman Empire’s point of view, echoing the hostile things Roman historians had to say about their empire’s enemies.

Clearly the ancient Roman intelligentsia took a more patriotic perspective than many modern British scribblers do.

Belittling and besmirching the all the great and good achievements of Britannia’s ‘dominion over palm and pine‘ has all too often been the norm.

Even here in Jakarta, there’a determined effort by leftist pressure-groups to alter people’s perspectives on the PKI, the totalitarian hypocrites of the Indonesian Communist Party.

BBC Bias On PKI – So Kids Shouldn’t Learn Nazis Were Evil?

Certain revisionist media want the Government to ‘apologise’ to the PKI on behalf of the Indonesian people, whom that same PKI, in 1965, was so desperate to enslave!

However, in general, there’s no harm at all in presenting alternative views, especially since those old ‘bearded ones,’ which is what ‘barbarians’ means, left few written records of their own outlook.

The fair-minded Tacitus, writing in Rome nearly two thousand years ago, at least attributed heart-felt words to Calgacus, the Pictish war-lord,  which probably reflected the attitude of some at least of Rome’s foes.

‘They create desolation and call it peace.’

Sounds a bit like a modern United Nations Peace-Keeping Force, like that in Katanga in the Sixties, when the UN destroyed an anti-communist struggle for self-determination!

I once spent some of a summer, many years ago, helping to excavate the fort at Inchtuthil, on Scotland’s Firth of Tay, which was Emperor Septimius Severus’ bastion against those same Picts.

At the time, I knew quite a lot about the Romans but nothing of those ‘painted people’ – again, the real meaning of ‘Picts.’

It wasn’t till much later, when I  started to take an interest in my roots, that I found their real name was the Cruthin, the original Ulster-Scots…

A good little history – don’t know if it’s still in print

…..who were subjugated by the Gaels but many of whose descendants crossed the water to reclaim their homeland during the Plantation in the very first years of the C17th.

My own ancestors settled near Kilrea, ‘five miles from the Bann shore, ‘ whence Old Joe, my Great3-grandfather, chose to move to Canada in the early C19th.

So I am more than open-minded on the issue of who was right or wrong back in the day.

    devil destroyed

Besides, with all Europe menaced by very real barbarians today, there are more important things to fret about!

Okay, enough trips down Memory Lane.

There’s a heap of ironing back there but happily a visitor on the way, so I’ll have an easy day and be relaxed and ready to watch Barbarians Rising tonight.

BBC Bias On PKI – So Kids Shouldn’t Learn Nazis Were Evil?

When I was at school, partly in Canada but also in Britain, our teachers did not mince their words about Hitler and his Nazis.

    • nazi-eu-hitler
    • —————-
    • They were BAD, BAD, BAD.

Especially in Britain, where there were areas we passed each day on our way to and from school where entire blocks of buildings, homes to hundreds of families, had been blown away by the Luftwaffe, acting on Nazi Blitzkrieg orders.

I suppose you might find Nazi-sympathisers who’d argue that our teachers’ lessons on the evils of Hitler’s cause were ‘indoctrination,’ but most would disagree.

    Like the Spanish Inquisition…

    …and the Slave Trade…

….and sending small children up factory chimneys…

….there were, and are, certain aspects of history which we are brought up, by both teachers and parents, to believe were wicked.

Certainly nobody at the BBC would describe class-room condemnation of such evils as ‘indoctrination.’

So how come the BBC applies a different standard to Indonesia.

Children were indoctrinated to believe that communists were evil.

That one sentence, in a long report on the current debate here in Jakarta….

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-36431837 – on whether President Jokowi should make a formal apology to the unrepentant totalitarian hypocrites of the Indonesian Communist Party – the hated PKI….

    ….displays BBC’s essentially leftist bias.

    It’s an absurd sentence.

Imagine if mathematics teachers were the topic?

Children were indoctrinated to believe that 2+ 2 =4.

    Or geography teachers?

Children were indoctrinated to believe that Indonesia is an archipelago.

Of course communists were, and are, evil, for every possible reason, and nobody who has studied history should need to be reminded of those reasons, some of which we reviewed in this post.

‘We Don’t Want Communism?’ But if You Did, It’s Time To Apologise!!

…it was the PKI who caused the mass slaughter. Their lying communist propaganda gulled thousands of simple folk into their peasants’ and industrial workers’ front outfits, and it was those poor mugs who got the brunt of the backlash.

Mind you, not all of the PKI fronts were naive dupes.

LEKRA, the ‘intellectual’ gang whose leading light was Pramoedya
That nasty old swine was as viciously intolerant towards freedom-loving Indonesians as the IslamoNazi FPI is today intolerant of Indonesians who believe in religious liberty.

–I’ve referred readers to Tempo, issue May 16-22, 2006 before, but must once more do so, for it covers the evil old Red’s career rather well and explains why some 25 “prominent literary figures and cultural observers” put their distinguished names to a formal submission to the Magsaysay Award Committee in 1995, protesting at that body’s decision to give Pramoedya an award.

    communism tyranny

Their reasons were simply stated, viz his unethical role during one of the darkest periods for creativity during the Guided Democracy era, when he led the persecution of artists and literary figures who disagreed with him. (this protest is air-brushed out of most Western references nowadays, though a brief mention is to be found in an otherwise slavishly pro-Pram article in the Economist http://www.economist.com/node/168819 )

Aidit Senior was indeed killed, but plenty of his comrades ran like cockroaches, to the sort of countries where they’d feel at ease, tyrannies in which neither peasants nor workers enjoyed any vestige of liberty.  Places like Red China, and, I imagine, Castro’s Cuba, where evil held sway and still does.

aiditMetro TV - Kemarin, Che Guevara (Penjahat Komunis) - Siapa Besok? D.N.Aidit (PKI)? Aidit and Guevara- rabid reds unlamented

To teach kids that communists are evil…hell, it’s no different from telling them not to bully class-mates, or steal other kids’ lunch-money, or warning them not to talk to strangers.

So why does the BBC suggest such teaching is ‘indoctrination?’

Jakarta Post’s ‘Red Apology’ Clique Getting Desperate?

The Jakarta Post must be getting increasingly desperate in its dredging around for people to join the  Red-Rehab-Jihad.

By that I mean the campaign for an indiscriminate ‘apology’ to all those who fell foul of anti-communist activity in the wake of the failed PKI kudeta in 1965.

    • pkiposter
    • —————–
    • The Indonesian Communist Party had misled a lot of simple peasants into joining their front organisation, and it was mostly them that got whacked. The cowardly communist leadership managed, most of them, to scuttle off to agreeably tyrannical regimes overseas.

An angry Indonesia lashed out, catching a bunch of Reds but also detaining people falsely accused of communism as well as innocents who were unlucky to be kin to marxist malignants.

    • Now the JP and its collaborationist cohorts want President Jokowi to ‘apologise,’ without any distinction between the evil hypocrites of the PKI and those latter unfortunates.

Bizarrely they’ve now roped in somebody identified as a ‘Nostra Aetate Fellow’ at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, which is no doubt as totally meaningless to me as it is to you.

One might assume it’s a trainee priest, but in fact it’s a chick!

More surprisingly, it’s a chick named Lailatul Fitriyah, which is a very Islamic sort of name for a fellow of the very Catholic Pontifical Gregorian Uni! I wondered briefly how many Italian Catholics hold fellowships at universities in Medina or Mosul!

Whatever, she maintains that Islam is an inherently egalitarian faith that upholds critical thinking and attainment of justice as its core teachings.

So she presumably didn’t grow up in a family that had this kind of disgusting sexism plastered around the living-room.

‘Fathers and Husbands, their private parts are your responsibility!’

Of course I do know many Muslims who are fair–minded and most capable of ‘critical thinking.’

But Indonesia’s state-sponsored MUI (Council of ‘Scholars’) needs to snap out of its backward bigotry before she can argue her case effectively.

“If the act of adultery is by a married person, then stoning is the sentence, while if unmarried, then it’s whipping,” he said.

Syamsul Maarif,  General Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Jakarta

More importantly, this college cutie needs to remember which newspaper she’s writing for when she asserts that –

Support from Muslims to ban “leftist” books is especially sad; instead of upholding Islamic values they are emulating the destruction of the House of Wisdom in Baghdad in 1258 AD.

They are crippling one of the most important principles in Islam, the preservation and distribution of knowledge.

I’m not au fait with her historical references, but her last half dozen words are hard to disagree with!

But surely they must be anathema to the editorial clique at the Jakarta Post.

Their owners, and presumable pay-masters, the Gramedia conglomerate, is downright INFAMOUS across Indonesia for their Nazi-style book-burning, carried out in cahoots with those virulent enemies of free expression, none other than the MUI.

If Ms Lailatul Fitriyah wants to wax lyrical about people backward and bigoted enough to engage in mass destruction of books they don’t like, Gramedia is a much better and more obvious target than the poorly educated IslamoNazis she’s justifiably criticising,

Why doesn’t she get stuck into that JP clique whose editorials have yet to criticise their overseers?

What do we say about the Jakarta Post? What does Ms L have to say?

C’mon, honey, put the boot into Gramedia! But then the Jakarta Post wouldn’t publish you if you showed such consistency, would they?

PS – Oh, and before we leave her to do her home-work, a final response to another of her know-all rebukes.

If you are a Muslim and drifting through the issue of anti-communism, at least ask yourself whether you completely understand what communism is. http://www.thejakartapost.com/academia/2016/06/03/fear-is-not-islamic-reflection-ahead-of-ramadhan.html

If she’s in Rome, she should meet some clergy from East and Central Europe. Their countries have first-hand experience and thus completely understand what communism is.

Dimwit IslamoNazis! The More Marxism’s Exposed, The Better!

So once more the IslamoNazi FPI (self-styled ‘Islam Defenders Front’) has managed to break up a meeting, in Bandung this time, which was due to discuss Karl Marx, a false prophet indeed, whose writings have inspired more evil than most any other ‘thinker’ in history.

    •  These sectarian white-shirt hooligans have no right to break up anyone’s meeting, if it’s been legally organised. Their war on free speech is actually reminiscent of what communists do, as we’ve noted before.

PKI, FPI? Book-Burning Ideologies! And What About Gramedia?

But they get away with it all too often, police not doing the job that’s theirs, to protect legitimate discussion and debate.

In fact, the FPI are fools to themselves.

    Marxism is indefensible.

It should be dissected in public as anatomy students ( or CSI labs!)  dissect a rotten corpse, so the younger generation of Indonesians are not blind-sided by the current leftist campaign, at its most intense in the Jakarta Post, to rehabilitate PKI traitors.

‘We Don’t Want Communism?’ But if You Did, It’s Time To Apologise!!

At least the Jakarta Post kept its statistics in the realm of reality, in its latest obsessive article about the events of 1965.

‘It is believed that at least half a million people were killed.’

One of them was the notorious totalitarian D.N. Aidit, of the PKI (Indonesian Communist Party) who infamously held up North Korea as his idea of how to run a country. He and his PKI comrades were no agrarian reformers but hard-core bigot reds, so no wonder some of them, so the JP whines, still experience discrimination.

One cannot blame children for the evil reflected in their parents’ deeds, but it might have been wiser for DN’s son to keep a low profile, unless he’s prepared to repudiate the satanic ideology that motivated his sire. Instead all he says is that proper reconciliation should be based on a revelation of the truth both from the perpetrators’ side and the victims’ side. The truth revealed could then be passed on to future generations.

Fair enough, on the face of it.

    But who were the victims?

Aidit Junior then called on the government to apologize, not to the PKI, but to the victims of the 1965 tragedy.

But it was the PKI who caused the mass slaughter. Their lying communist propaganda gulled thousands of simple folk into their peasants’ and industrial workers’ front outfits, and it was those poor mugs who got the brunt of the backlash.

Now some of these decrepit traitors have weaselled back, and have still not shown the basic decency to apologise, to repent of the vile ideology they sought to impose on Indonesia fifty years go.

Not a word of regret from this character –  Haryono, spokesman of Lembaga Perjuangan Rehabilitasi Korban Orde Baru, an NGO working for the rehabilitation of New Order regime victims, said many people had become victims in the 1965 killings, thus it was important for the government to extend an apology.

    Was Haryono a PKI apparatchik?

The JP sloppily fails to check. But Haryono’s politicised arithmetic makes one wonder. While estimates of those who died in 1965 range from scores of  thousands to a million, this geezer offers a staggering figure  –  the victims actually numbered 45 million.

Even the JP is moved to note that Haryono did not provide details on where the figure of 45 million came from.

It sounds as believable as the myth that the Reds were interested in Indonesian workers and peasants, except insofar as they might serve as cannon-fodder in PKI schemes to seize power.

In none of the nations around the world enslaved by marxism have the common folk been exalted, except in name only.

The Reds, in Russia, China and Cuba, established themselves as a privileged ruling class. The PKI was part and parcel of that ideology and would certainly have done the same. Their leaders deserved all they got. Just a shame that so many harmless folk taken in by their lies had to die too.

More proof that you stand with the likes of the FPI when it comes to issues of social justice. Why don’t you just go out there with your ideological fellow-travelers and attempt to close down a meeting of survivors of this gross violation of human rights and their poor families who are simply calling for the record to be put straight?

I have no connection whatsoever with Indonesia but Ilike Ross’ blog and before you begin to criticise him, you should read what he has actually said, and what the communist defenders actually said.
Last month he very forcefully objected to that FPI organisation’s closing down a metting by your fellow-travellers, about a communist called Tan Malaka, whom you mayknow about although I don’t.
And Ross did not object at all to having the ‘record put straight. ‘
What he’s objecting to is the demand that Indonesia APOLOGISE to the communists.
Communists have always wanted to deprive people of their freedoms so if they don’t want to apologise for that objectionable ambition, why would anyone want to apologise to them?

          Thanks for that, Pamela.
You are correct in your corrections, though I wasn’t going to extend this debate personally.
The other commies gave real names and email addresses so they can carry on the argument if they like.
This creep doesn’t, so he’s had his go until he fesses up.

        • Rennie 22:22 on April 20, 2016 Permalink

Yes, I see Ross did condemn the FPI thugs and that’s something to his credit.
However, his bigotry against communists, and yours, Pamela, is pathetic.
Communists may put a bridle on some liberties that Western liberals love to shout about, but they gave true economic liberty to millions who had long been oppressed and exploited.
I know this is a forum for the ultrarightwing so won’t waste more time arguing with you but don’t you think there was more to the 1965 killings than just ‘zapping reds,’ as I suppose Ross would put it?’ .

Yes it is just the same like you say. The PKI did never care about Indonesia and they did bad things to democracy people. Now it is that they want every body to say sorry to them but they never say sorry to Indonesia for what communism did.
You write many things that I do not like but this time you write true about PKI and about Pramoedya who was a very bad man.

I come from Madiun and every Indonesian who is living here must know about PKI who was the traitors in 1948. My grandfather and his generasion fighting for MERDEKA had also to fight the PKI communist when they did uprising against us.
Indonesia has won freedom but no thanks to PKI who wanted new masters from China instead of old masters from Holland.
If they ask we forgive them the badness they have done then I will forgive but now they ask for apology and that must make us angry. .

In 1965 there was real friendship between Muslims and Christians and other religion because they understand communism was enemy of God and also of democracy. It is not so much like that after all this time and it is better if we remember Indonesia beat communism by unity of all the Indonesia people who love freedom.
So much trouble in our country because inter-faith fighting when we need remember we have more in common than not in common.
Pramoedya never say sorry till day he die, same like these people this month who tell goverment to say sorry when Presiden Jokowi and all his goverment eventhough not even were born in 1965.
It does not enter sense for apology today..We must be uniting because our Indonesia has so many problem.

You have a dinosaur’s mind. You remind me of Reagan telling us that the Vietnam War was a ‘noble cause.’ America should have learned the lesson of Vietnam, as RFK should have never made that speech you love to quote when he called Cuba ‘an imprisoned island.’
Obama whom you hate has been so much more intelligent, developing relations with Socialist Cuba and even Nixon had to recognise the People’s Republic as the legitimate government of China despite his Cold War mentality which you have not been able to shake off.
Indonesia could have been a liberated country like China and Cuba because the PKi would have probably won elections and taken power by the ballot.
Instead there was the bullet, many of them. And violence persists, the breaking up of meetings held to talk about that dark time in Indonesia’s past.

You will really and truly have upset the communist sympathizers with this one, Ross.
I’m only commenting because I think you will have provoked a few of them to comment and so my views will add some balance.
I am no expert on Indonesian history but it would have been a disaster if that populous country had gone the same way as China and Indo-China.
      A massive threat to Australia.
I am looking at it from an Australian angle but I do think these debates should be for Indonesians to have among themselves but with all the PKI sympathizers taking their case abroad, and people like Max Lane and his marxists here jumping in on the argument, it’s only fair play that you should give a different point of view some space.

What did communists ever do to you to make you hate them so much?
President Obama told young people last month that they can work out for themselves whatever they prefer as an economic system, and that shows a tolerant outlook that you would do well to develop, but I don’t think you’re capable of doing that.
Every time I read your blog, something I try not to do before eating, I just feel sick that anyone in this day and age can hold such conservative views and even more sick that you dare express them publicly
No wonder you were removed form Facebook.

        Camilla, are you nuts?
Communism is a hell of a lot more than an economic system. Concentration camps, show-trials, no free speech, go on strike get shot, do you know nothing of modern history?
So conservatives should not get to speak publicly for what we beileve in?
You fit right into the communist way, and I don’t feel sick, just sorry for you!. .

As somebody who only reads your blog for the ads, I dontt care about all this politics. But it strikes me as typical Indonesia that when you thunder against the FPI, at least once a week, hardly anybody comments at all.
Then when you call the PKI names, and they haven’t been around effectively for half a century, the expats (or at least foreigners, here or somewhere else) come down on you like a nuclear strike.
I’m not sure what to make of that.

IslamoNazis 'Prohibit' Event – Who Do These Thugs Think They Are?

I see in Tempo.com that a performance entitled Tan Malaka Monologue due to be staged at the French Cultural Center ( IFI) in Bandung had to be cancelled.  https://m.tempo.co/read/news/2016/03/24/078756690/fpi-larang-monolog-tan-malaka-pria-minang-yang-hafal-quran

It was ‘prohibited’ by the IslamoNazi FPI, self-styled ‘Islam Defenders Front!’ These white-shirt thugs have NO authority whatsoever to prohibit’ anything. In fact, whatever they like to forbid is probably worth having a look at, or, since it was a ‘monologue,’ a listen to!

The hoodlum gangster group – apparently in concert with other sectarian loutfits, object to Tan Malaka, a man dead for decades, because he was a commie.

Actually, we recorded in a previous post how bad he was, a Communist, an active member of the PKI, killed in 1949, and the Islamists don’t want his ideas resurrected.

    • anti_communism_by_leandrotr
    • Nor indeed would any thinking person, if the plan were to implement them. The PKI is still outlawed here, after their attempted seizure of power in 1965 was thwarted, at great cost in bloodshed.

Head of West Java FPI Dedi Subu said “It is the clear emergence of a new-style communism.”,

So I probably wouldn’t like listening to the ‘monologue’ very much,’ but that’s not the point.

It’s the job of courts and police to ‘prohibit’ events, if they are a problem. If the IslamoNazis don’t like the topic, they are free to protest outside with banners and leaflets, explaining why.

    communism tyranny

    • An easy task, because communism is a sterile and blood-stained ideology, propounded by hypocrites who ride to power on the backs of the poor then instal themselves, like Mao did in China, in palaces, wallowing in luxury.

The PKI, the Indonesian Communist Party, was a vicious totalitarian gang, just as intolerant as the FPI..

Since it was not prohibited by any lawful body, then it was the job of the police to ensure that it could go ahead without disruption by malignant fanatics.

So where were the cops this week?

I don’t know, but they should have been at the IFI, safeguarding constitutional freedoms.

I’m sure a bit of research by my local readers will tell us why no law enforcement was on the scene to stomp the jihadist jerks, but in the past there have been shameful incidents of collaboration beiween the Islamonazis and police.   https://rossrightangle.wordpress.com/2012/08/28/muslim-school-burned-by-angry-crowd-police-enlist-islamonazis-to-counsel-kids/

Jakarta Post, Yet To Condemn Book-Burning, Calls Now For Freedom?

Yesterday the Jakarta Post had a barely coherent piece about ‘gays,’ Grammar and ‘Gays!’ – Poor Old Jakarta Post!  but embedded in it was a fairly odd definition of communism as ‘an economic system.’

Communism of course is a callous, cruel political system which has murdered hundreds of millions of innocent people and still holds hundreds of millions more innocents enslaved, from Lhasa to Havana.

But we would expect no less from the JP.

Jakarta Post – Never Miss a Chance to Re-Hab Reds!

Jakarta Post Lets Oz Red Urge Show Trial for Morrison

Today, I came across the latest paper edition of that newspaper, in North Jakarta. A quick glance at its front page revealed what should surely have been designated as an opinion piece, but appeared to  be masquerading as news, in which these folowing gems of objective reporting were typical.

The involvement of the police and their apparent favoring of intolerant religious and ultranationalist groups that consider leftist movements to be supporting communism has been raising some eyebrows.

    Whose eye-brows?

Jakarta Post hacks, who fail to examine whether or not those ‘leftist movements’ are or are not ‘supporting communism?

    communism tyranny

That’s an important question, which needs to be put directly to the Turn Left gang – do they or do they not, each and every one of them, repudiate the satanic marxist creed or do they not?

Only when they have done so can we begin to take seriously the JP’s hyperbolic hogwash.

    Which goes on and on….

Imposing restrictions on the freedom of speech, as state apparatuses did with the Turn Left Festival, is both mindboggling and irrelevant nowadays when the country prides itself as being the world’s third largest democracy. – http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/03/15/ban-festival-reminiscent-authoritarianism.html

Whose mind is boggled? No names, especially not the JP author’s!

Irrelevant? Well, that’s a point of view!

And since there’s no author’s name attached, we must assume it’s that editorial clique whose loud pretensions about freedom of expression have rung so hollow since the JP’s parent company, Gramedia, openly collaborated with Islamist fanatics in a Hitlerian book-burning atrocity. Yes, the very same intolerant religious gang that the nameless JP scribbler abhors!

    burning books

Grovelling Gramedia’s BookBurning Bonanza – Appeasing Fanatics

    The JP clique is contemptible.

If, even only once, they drew a clear distinction between innocent people killed during anti-communist action in 1965…

pkiposter PKI (Communist Party of Indonesia) traitors

    • … and the evil, unrepentant, totalitarian hypocrites of the PKI, who gulled so many of those innocents into their subversive front groups, they could perhaps be forgiven for their relentless revisionist drive.

We wait and see, not with much hope!
