More Than 1 Plague? Fanatic Java Mob Amok!

While here in Indonesia the Chinese Virus rages, some 68000 dead so far…

Indonesia Prepares for Worst-Case Scenario as Covid Cases and Deaths Set New Record

…we had a reminder of the archipelago’s other plague yesterday.

Sectarian fanatics ran amok in Tasikmalaya, West Java, demanding the release of Rizieq….

    Rizieq the Fanatic, cuffed

…erstwhile leader of the banned FPI, self-styled ‘Defenders of lslam Front…’

    …a violent vigilante gang.

During the riot, they pelted the officers with stones and other hard objects. They continued to move and tried to break down the gate of the prosecutor’s office…

The brutes were beaten off, but not before three police vehicles were vandalised and one officer injured.

Rizieq’s trial has been on-going for some time.

Read our previous reports for the background.

My boss says, police should be using the guns they carry because fanatics are a plague same like you say and we can wipe out covid with shots?
A good idea. so may be we must extend it?

No goods like those should be exempted from compulsory masking, to increase the risk they face but have the distance rule doubled so normal people can be well apart from them.

‘Containment’ – No Zombies, But Still Worth Watching!

Well, after my post yesterday New Obama Horror Show On Fox Cable Channel?  which likened the plague in question to The Manchurian, I settled down on that splendid comfy chair ( purchased from Carrefour, (Rp.3,ooo,ooo, discount) with my pisang goreng.

    • ——————————————————————-
    • It was the first time I had prepared fried bananas on my own, shortage of visitors this week! –  and I thoroughly enjoyed both the snack and the first episode of Containment, which ended up with promising scenes of tumult and afright.

These are likely to escalate to bloody anarchy, but, while we must await developments, a few of the characters are already intriguing, not least the stroppy girl Jana (Christina Marie Moses) of whom the black hero Major Carnahan (David Gyasi) is understandably enamored.

Sorry, no photos of Christina in those shorts, but on a lucky horse!

    • Her shorts – in her initial appearance – were so short they must have distracted a huge percentage of the male audience from the story-line!

One hopes, for that reason, if no other, she will be one of those who survives the dread disease (introduced by a Syrian illegal!) that has much of Atlanta quarantined.

Having praised one tawny beauty, my commitment to diversity obliges me to mention a blonde one, the rather Brunhilde-like Sabine Lommers (Claudia Black) who’s the Fed in charge of the lock-down. She comes across as a tough cookie, but no doubt her ice will melt as disaster intensifies.

And intensify it will, for sure, an admirable substitute for The Walking Dead until that apocalyptic horror show returns.

BTW, I’m not the only one by any means to spot the similarities!

Containment Is Like The Walking Dead But Without Zombies …
