It seems Russian efforts have begun in earnest.

Macron’s minion is furious that two state-funded Russian media sites have published reports on the French language sites that featured rumours about Macron’s private life, as well as accusations he was an “agent for American banks”.
But the article then admits the ‘rumours’ were widespread in Paris – should only the in-crowd be allowed to hear them, keeping mere voters in the dark?
Especially when the alleged ‘gay affair’ involves Macron and a media king-pin named Mathieu Gallet, of Radio France?
But Macron denies them. So? Denial never keep the media off any accused rightwinger’s back.
And the banks?
Well, again we read on and are reminded that Macron is a former investment banker.
It seems Macron’s minion is mainly just p—ed off with media coverage, like the report in Izvestia newspaper that featured quotes from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange saying he had got hold of some “interesting information” about Macron via email correspondence with Hillary Clinton.
All would soon be revealed Assange suggested.
And is it France being the alleged target that grieves Macron’s team the most, or is it the object of Macron’s adoration, the EUSSR?

This is all very flimsy, to say the least. I don’t mean the rumours about Macron’s gay and hearty life-style.

I mean the brazen bid to transfer the anti-Russian rigmarole from the US context to a French one. Not least because the allegedly numerous cyber-attacks on Macron’s website mostly come not from Russia but from the Ukraine.
The Leftal says that Moscow is getting jittery, it seems.

…the French government are taking the threat seriously and are due to hold a defence council meeting dedicated to the subject of Russian involvement in the French election.
Thus is fake news elevated by a rabid hypocrite, who was utterly at ease when a foreign government openly declared its intention to interfere in a French election.
