More Soft Jakarta Sentencing – Mere 8 Years For Terror Bint!

Less than eight years for a blood-thirsty bint who planned to blow herself up outside Jakarta’s presidential palace during the changing of the guard.http://jakartaglobe.id/news/indonesian-woman-jailed-suicide-bomb-plot-jakarta-palace/

There’s a picture in the Jakarta Globe of the bag-head sitting in court, leering out at those around her.

I won’t bother including that here – what’s the point?

A pity the JG didn’t manage to do what some other, non-English-language, media here had the initiative to do, and publish pictures of her ID card, above.

Every bag-head looks the same, after all, like the one in this illustration we often use to show why the primitive burka should be outlawed.

And what’s the point of expressing regret at such a soft sentence, since in Western countries we often see terror trials end in similar outcomes, in Denmark…

    …and in Britain…

….creatures who deserve to die getting just a few years, which, due to counter-productive remissions systems…

…turn out to be even less in practice.

But I wonder what President Jokowi’s thinking today.

It was his palace that she’d schemed to target…

…his guardsmen who’d have been left bloodied by the Islamist harpy.

He has made it very clear he’s got no problem with the death penalty for drug criminals.

If people who deal in dangerous drugs deserve to die, then logically swamp-things like Dian Yulia Novi, who hails from West Java, deserve no better.

Yet the court did not even meet the demand for ten years put forward by the prosecution, who said this demonic woman had received instructions to carry out the attack from Bahrun Naim, an Indonesian militant believed to be fighting with Islamic State in Syria.

We’ve heard about him, before now.

    But back to the bint!

“Her sentence was reduced because she admitted to her actions,” says her lawyer.

Not good enough, some may think?

Had she cast away the shroud she uses to conceal her undoubtedly malevolent features and made at least a declaration of repentance, denouncing the monstrous jihadist ideology, yes, perhaps a sentence less than death might have been appropriate.

    But far from it!

She ‘did not intend to appeal her verdict,’ the JG reports. No wonder!

She’ll be out soon enough, free to make new, nauseating plans to spread that murderous ideology.

      Good points again Ross.
      When will they ever learn?

Yes, the photo in the burqa makes her look ‘malevolent’ but women in burqas always make me think of Darth Vader or worse.
But then when you look at her KTP picture you got, you think this could be any girl who serves you at a shop in any mall here in Jakarta.
If we were not hardened expats it would be a worry!

I hope President Jokowi will make the judges start to order execution for terorists.
I think same like you, drug crime is bad but jihadis are much more dangerous..

Jakarta Justice – Will Child-Beheaders Go Free Soon?

Another glorious sunny day in Jakarta, myself relaxing, a paper-back to finish before going out to have my two-dollar brunch served up by the nice new waitresses in my warteg.     Senang Sekali! Warteg Buka…Plus Plus – FOUR Reasons to be Cheerful!

A cloudy note, though, as I read that Jokowi’s Justice Minister is talking about releasing 15,000 drug convicts to ease over-crowding in prisons.

There are better ways to achieve this ‘object so sublime.’

    For example?

The Jakarta Globe has also reported how Indonesia’s Justice Ministry has insisted that no sentence reductions were awarded to corruption convicts for the Idul Fitri holiday last week, following local media reports of cuts of up to two months for some notorious convicts.   http://thejakartaglobe.beritasatu.com/news/justice-ministry-no-idul-fitri-sentence-cuts-graft-convicts-yet/

    One would hope not.

They should be put up against a wall and shot, if guilty of plundering the coffers of a country where millions of people barely get enough to eat.

That would free up prison beds.

And what about the vilest of the vile, the terrorists behind bars.

I have often mentioned the filthy swine who beheaded those little Christian schoolgirls and asked how soon might Hasanuddin and his heinous henchmen be turned loose –

Indonesian Beheaders of Schoolgirls – Poso Pigs Up For Parole Soon?

     – his original sentence was an insult to the very concept of justice.

Not death, nor even life, but a mere 20 years, which places a six years six months value on each innocent child’s life that he took.

Jones quotes examples ranging from just SIX years served to nine years.

As said above, that foul swine Hasanuddin got 20 years, in 2006, and although I have raised this before, only yesterday did I find out, after scouring the internet, that he had already, by August 2009, had five months chopped off that feeble punishment.

Of course we can say that, if there is indeed any cosmic justice, as the great religions teach, iniquitous scum like that will burn in Hell for all eternity.

But earthly equity would be a fine thing too.

Has any further remission been granted to such vermin in the past six years?

Has any of the media here covered it?

    against the wall

Time to take every single terrorist out of prison NOW and PUT THEM DOWN!
