Just got home after a very enjoyable day with half-a-dozen Indonesians. Time with that little discussion group is always both educational and entertaining.

On the face of it, good news!

But that will depend on the quality, the character, of those appointed to serve on those tribunals.

In Australia – at last in the recent past – there seems to have been an inordinate number of total twits involved in investigating the bon fides of boat bludgers etc.

But back to Italy, where again, at first sight, the existing system is not unimpressive.

Around 60 percent of those end with a decision to deny the applicant the right to remain in Italy.

But are those phoney ‘refugees’ promptly deported, or left to run off during absurd ‘appeals?’  

Take a guess, in the knowledge that there’s a pro-crimmigrant government in Rome.

Yet the changes announced retain appeals, though only one, not two, with specialised judges with detailed knowledge of migration issues.

Judges in Italy are maybe no worse than those elsewhere…

Time the entire appeals carry-on was consigned to the trash-can. And let’s have the initial ( and final) decisions made by panels composed of common citizens, drawn by lot from the electoral rolls!

Too many judges are cosmopolitan elitists, extremely out of touch with the feelings of honest working folks. As one UK newspaper described the anti-democratic UK judges..

… marching behind a banner, “Verona for Veronese,” and chanting, “Italy for Italians,” slogans of a growing movement homing in on discontent as more communities stand up against the Rome government’s plans to relocate asylum-seekers in their midst..

Great stuff.

Soave sounds very much like some of the towns we stayed in on our last visit to Italy quite a few years ago.., an idyllic walled town of 7,100 in the province of Verona surrounded by vineyards…

I can well imagine the outrage felt by the inhabitants thereof, proud of their cultural heritage, rallying in resistance to Renzi’s sell-out policies.

But unfortunately the report says that similar protests have only had some successes in delaying relocations.

To achieve more, patriotic Italians – and patriotic Greeks, Germans, French – and also throughout the English-speaking world – need to become more militant.

That sell-out swine in Rome was obliged to call a referendum on constitutional issues next month, which he is currently expected to lose.

NOW what’s needed, regardless of Renzi’s personal political fate, is a referendum on the alien tsunami.

OK, that might ease the immediate burden on small communities like Soave.

But Renzi, with Frontex’s ready assistance, is shipping in more of the wasters, every day, every week, sometimes thousands within one week –‘Six thousand migrant arrivals is not an invasion’: Renzi  … 

The only realistic response is surely to stop shipping them in at once, and start shipping them back.
