Brexiteer? In or Near London? Get On Down To Richmond!

    Get out there and help!

Zac Goldsmith quit the Commons and is now standing for re-election as an Independent.

UKIP is not contesting the seat, because they reckon Goldsmith is on the right side of history.

Richmond goes to the polls on December 1st, and the news is that  –

The Liberal Democrats have flooded the constituency with activists.

    —————————–

Although Brits voted for freedom nearly six months ago, the Enemy Within is still fighting a rearguard action for a re-run of the referendum, in the true Europhiliac tradition of keep peoples voting until the Euro-Commissars get the result they require.

The Liberal Democrats are among the shrillest pro-Brussels fanatics.

    • This bye-election has attracted international attention, with even the Chicago Tribune running a large headline, viz.-

Brexit dominates London vote that was meant to be about Heathrow

BTW, Liar Cameron’s name crops up in the CT story.

Former Prime Minister David Cameron also made a “no ifs, no buts” promise in 2009 that Heathrow would not be expanded…  http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-wp-blm-brexit-f6f84e28-b312-11e6-bc2d-19b3d759cfe7-20161125-story.html

    • …a useful reminder of the lying swine’s record, the years and years that passed before UKIP forced him to keep the promise he broke, way back eight years ago, and let the British people vote.

3 Nov 2009 – …his decision to abandon a “cast-iron guarantee” to hold a referendum on the Lisbon treaty..David Cameron to shed ‘cast iron’ pledge on Lisbon treaty |.

In and of itself Richmond is not a major battle – but it is not insignificant either. Every battle counts in the on-going War of Independence.

If you are handy, lend a hand!

To All My Richmond Readers – Vote Goldsmith!

I honestly have no idea if I have any readers in Richmond – neither the one in Virginia nor the one in  London.

But the latter has a by-election coming up in a month’s time, December 1st, I’m told, and I hope London readers will take a Saturday off watching footie and spend some time helping Zac Goldsmith’s fight there.

    ————————

Son of the late Sir James Goldsmith, who formed the Referendum Party some 25 years ago, Zac has quit the Tories on the Heathrow expansion issue, about which I’m not informed enough to comment.

But for any MP to resign on principle is rare, and admirable.

UKIP has, in the circumstances, decided to back Zac. Even the Tories, for once, seem to get the idea of integrity, and are not opposing Goldsmith’s candidacy as an Independent.

But there’s more to it than that.

Inexplicably, the seat used to return a Liberal MP!

That’s the party these days renamed the LibDems, a party of no principle, except that they can, however, be relied on to do Britain down –  witness the way they reneged on their commitment to a Brexit referendum….

    • referndmlet peole vote
    • ….then, when despite LibDem treachery, the British people got the right to vote for independence, and did so, those same LibDems are now at the forefront of calls to ‘correct’ democracy by staging a re-run

Put them down in Richmond, PLEASE!

My childhood home was in Richmond but I haven’t been back for years.
Thanks to your suggestion, and a touch of pre-Xmas nostalgia, I will go back next month, revisit the old haunts and spend part of a weekend leafletting for Mr. Goldsmith.
