As Roberts Goes Rogue, One U.S. Judge Does His Duty!

The weaseling of Chief Justice John Roberts has been rightly deplored, his endorsement of recent bizarre Supreme Court rulings, on preventing DACA crimmigrants being deported…

Good for Senator Tom Cotton, who described Roberts as a wannabe “Solomon who will save our institutions from political controversy and accountability.”

Reassuring, then, to find one American judge who is infinitely more principled than Roberts.

The US state of Virginia, some 130 years ago, undertook, as a solemn legal obligation, to look after the statue of General Robert E Lee, as a “perpetually sacred” duty.

Now, as an act of appeasement towards the BLM rabble infesting America’s streets, the current Virginia Governor, a leftist Democrat named Northam, has disavowed that duty, planning to haul down the hero.

But honour is not dead!

…the great-grandson of two men that signed a deed giving the state control of the the monument in 1890 sued the state….

And, admirably, Circuit Judge Bradley Cavedo has extended the injunction the hero’s heir obtained!

Unlike that robed rat Roberts, Judge Cavedo, who may or may not like seeing Lee’s statue in Richmond, understands that his job is to uphold law, not play politics.

As a history graduate (MA, Hons.,2.1, Politics and Modern History) I was maybe more interested than most in the official vandalism Eades described, in between his sycophantic inter-action with BLM ranting…

We got to hear from that pathetic governor, we got to see callow buffoons capering around the statue’s base…

…we even got to see an ‘ordained minister’- ( yes, another one!)- a descendant of the hero, a real little lefty…

…condoning the disrespect enacted against the great man’s memory.

So NOBODY in Virginia dissented from this squalid betrayal of the state’s history?

I firmly believe Eades and his bias-bigot comrades at the BBC were fully aware of opposition to the left-liberal desecration of Lee’s statue and deliberately suppressed it.
