    Censorship Home And Away!

I was going to weigh in on that arrogant actor who boasted that the scene or scenes of lesbianism censored by Arab countries were his way, Disney’s way, of ‘normalising’ aberrant behaviour.

Normalising the abnormal, the Disney mission!

    .

    Latoya Raveneau

    ..
Disney Executive Producer Latoya Raveneau said the company has welcomed her “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” and she has been regularly “adding queerness” to children’s programming.   READ

    ooooooo

There is of course censorship in every country….

….cranky kill-joys in the Western world –Appeasing Uptights – Merkel’s Himmler Wants Ban On Sexy Ads! – and similar people here in Indonesia…. Aceh’s Mad Mullah – ‘Dancing is EVIL – It Involves Body Movements!’
    oooo

    nuts…….

    ooooo

    …and don’t forget UK Pravda…

BBC Proud Of Its Woke Censoring!

…one of the most ideologically-motivated censors, back in the UK.

But in Indonesia, we sometimes face weird censorship, like Saturday night’s film on Trans TV.

The star of the film ‘A Private War’ was enjoying a cigarette, but one of the censor’s infamous ‘blurs’ obscured the wicked cig.

Yet later in the movie, when corpses of Saddam’s victims were exhumed, we got to see them clearly enough.

    Weird!

But the censors here can be annoying.

Remember, a year or two ago?

BlackPink OK – Thigh Panic Hits Indonesia!

‘The clothes do not even cover the thighs!’

    ..

Viewers’ eyes are similarly, invariably, shielded…

    .

    ..

    ….against hazardous glimpses of cleavage.

But back to that film again, the heroine reporter, interviewing the late and unlamented Libyan dictator, tells Ghadaffi –

You funded the IRA, Shining Path in Peru, the Sword of Islam in The Philippines…’

And the text on the screen translated it all into Indonesian….EXCEPT the third terror gang’s name.

I leave you to speculate whose hidden meddling hand decided THAT sectarian censorship.

Video Games Man Victimised By Evil Ayatollahs!

Frankly, I have no interest whatsoever in video games, but this rather obscure news item caught my attention, about one such, called ‘Children of Morta.’

    =

You may know all about the game, or else look it up, as I had to.

It transpires that the man who developed it has fallen foul of the satanic despots who rule over Iran.

    =

    =

You wil be shocked to learn what charges are being levelled against the evil ayatollahs’ latest victim.

He has been summoned to the court over the complaint that the game includes dancing, lack of hijab, lack of praising for God, use of magic for fighting demons and also a burial not complying with Islamic laws…

Stop Being Wussies, Jakarta Post! Condemn Gramedia Collabos!

A long-winded Easter editorial in the Jakarta Post ends up with this stirring exhortation to young Indonesian Christians.

    ooooo

Followers of Christ should rise and enhance their contribution for their nation, not just for their own groups. Most Indonesians are tolerant, moderate and inclusive.

The number of intolerant people is indeed rising. But the tendency should not excuse you from serving your nation and country. Happy Easter!

And this is indeed an admirable sentiment, as is their headline…

    EDITORIAL: Easter: Stop being wussies

    http://www.thejakartapost.com/academia/2018/03/29/editorial-easter-stop-being-wussies.html

But it’s very easy to shrill thus from within an editorial ivory tower, a much safer position than was that of the Christians, young and old, in Bekasi, or Bogor, two cities that border Jakarta…

Christ’s Ascension Day – Islamist Savages Pelt Congregation With Sewage, Urine and Rocks

Head-Scarfed Harpies Hurl Dung and Urine at Christians

X-Rated Xmas – Foul-Mouths Bully Christians, As ‘Moderate’Mayor Denies They Exist!’

…when bigoted savages, neither arrested nor charged by the police on the scene, assailed them viciously, vilely and violently.

Both congregations victimised in the above reports remain unable to worship in their churches – Indonesian readers know all about this and overseas readers can check the facts easily enough.

But let’s be fair. The Jakarta Post itself knows all about intolerant Islamist intimidation.

Their parent company, Gramedia, was faced with Islamist intrusion into their rights a few years ago.

The management cowered and caved in, violating basic principles of free expression, in an action replay of Nazi Germany’s book-burning atrocities.

    ===============

Never once has the JP’s editorial clique ever condemned that shameful collaboration with sectarian fanatics, not that I’ve ever seen or heard of, at least.

But it’s never too late to do the right thing.

It is best if you explain that Gramedia is not some very little company. It has many related medias big and small and all around Indonesia.
We see from the book burner day that if our Republic becomes like Iran or Arab Saudi then they will give us no help to save Indonesia.
That word collaboration is very suitable for these cowards.

Ma’af, Nia Danata! Jakarta Needs More Than New Censor Rules

Interesting to read in the ever-astonishing Jakarta Post, whose parent company Gramedia perpetrated the most glaring example of sectarian censorship not that long ago, a Nazi-style book-burning to placate Islamist bigots, that somebody’s claiming…

    =

Indonesian movie industry still not entirely free from censorship:

Since the Jakarta Post has never condemned Gramedia’s infamous grovel to jihadist fanatics, it’s not surprising that this complaint comes not from JP editors but from a lady named Nia Dinata.

    =

    Gambar terkait

    =

She’s a real wee cutie, as you can see, but she’s also a film director, who says, quite rightly, that the Indonesian movie industry is still in shackles as judgmental groups are reluctant to accept the freedom of expression by artists which are often out of the box.

But Nia is surely guilty of understatement!

It’s not only ‘out of the box‘ movies that get hammered, and the hammers are not only wielded by sectarian nutjobs (which I imagine is what she means by judgmental groups)

It wasn’t just silly little censor cuts imposed on the film ‘Noah!’

I usually enjoy Russel Crowe films but found ‘Noah’ stupid and boring to watch. Yet why on earth was the entire movie outlawed throughout Indonesia?

    ==

Russel Crowe dalam Noah (Foto: Ist)

Noah’ Banned – Who’s Next? State Censors or Sectarian Enforcers?

    Why?

Because it upset violent bigot gangs and the non-violent bigot cliques, much the same sorts as the book burned by Gramedia also did!

And we’ve had to report other examples of the most extreme elements in Indonesia doing their dirty worst to tell Indonesian people what they may or may not watch.

‘Cinta Tapi Beda!’ – First Blood to IslamoNazis!

    cinta-tapi-beda-film

    ———————————

Cinta Tapi Beda was about love between a guy and gal of different religions, and had the foul fanatics frothing, as they often do here.

    =

    =

Clearly a film for young people, teens especially, coming up to the age when they think of marriage!

So Nia’s suggestion this week, that  instead of censoring, “Age classification must be clear. Every line of industry, be it movie theaters or TV, must be required to include age classification,” does not make that much sense.

There are other films we’ve looked at, such as this –Soekarno’ Film – IslamoNazis Threaten Cinema Raids!  – and I’m too busy today to wax indignant about the clouded cleavage crisis on our tv screens, or the general tv censorship issue, covered in previous posts like this…

    =

    tight jeans 21

Dimana Bokong2nya? – Where Are Our Buttocks?

… but while vigilante hoodlums should be truncheoned by stern law enforcement officers out of their pretensions to any role in censorship…

    Gambar terkait

    =

…even official censorship here needs a lot more reforming than Nia suggests, to drag it into the 20th, never mind the 21st Century!

Never mind, her heart’s in the right place.

This is what I like from your blog, Ross, that you respect Indonesian people and say they do not need to be told like little kids what television and films they can go to enjoy.
Our government listens to many bad voices for censoring. Better they censor the bad advice they listen to from MUI and FPI and let us choose like adult people.

Today In Paris – 10 French People Donald Should Meet!

Journal de la résistance française : sympathisants, militants, en avant toute ! dans Présidentielles 2012 Resistance-Marine-Le-Pen

    0000000

France today celebrates Liberty, Equality and Fraternity and President Trump is in Paris to join in the day’s events.

    =

    =

And almost 60% of French people are pleased about that.  http://www.bfmtv.com/politique/6-francais-sur-10-approuvent-l-invitation-de-trump-par-macron-au-defile-du-14-juillet-1215413.html

I don’t read French very well, but the poll result suggests an encouraging resistance amongst the electorate to the rotten propaganda of the biased state media.

    =

    =

If anyone doubts the bias, just look up France24 in our search box and see how bad it is.

Week after week, their English-language service trots out rotating leftist bigots, notably…

    .

    France24’s Fanatics – Pinko Picard’s Choreographed Quartet

…that twerp from The Daily Beast, to name but one of the worst.

    =

    Hasil gambar untuk dickey beast

France24 even boasts openly of its ‘partnership’ with the Beast!

And they don’t hesitate to use even their film review slot…

    Gambar terkait.

France24’s Far-Left Lisa Spews Her Bias Once Again!

…to spatter the audience with far-left bigotry.

    ====

However, while it’s nice to note that 60% of La Republique’s people seem impervious to media poison, there are TEN citizens in particular with whom The Donald would usefully meet.

They are the citizens targetted by sectarian cliques ( and collaborationist ‘rights’ ratbags) which think their creed should be above criticism and seek to use French courts to restrict liberty of speech thereon…

    .

    • …who feel no sense of fraternity except to those who share their creed, and who certainly have no inclinations towards equality where women are concerned.

    • Who are these victims?

    • Here’s a list of names, all of whom seem to be good people, but who have faced threats because they are good guys, or, in one case, a good gal.

    • Éric Zemmour, Pascal Bruckner, Georges Bensoussan, Laurence Rossignol, Véronique Corazza, Thierry SolèrePierre de Bousquet de Florian, Soufiane Zitouni, Mohamed Louizi, and Ahmed Meguini,

    • If you want to know more, and get the full shocking picture of what forthright French these days are up against, have a look here…

    France: “Jihad by Court

The article is written by Yves Mamou, who worked for two decades as a journalist for Le Monde.

But the quote I offer you sums it up.

“Legal action has become a mainstay of radical Islamist organizations seeking to intimidate and silence their critics.” — Steven Emerson, Founder and President of The Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Sometimes the courts refuse to kow-tow to Islamist arrogance, but other times they don’t – the French courts, in fact, seem to be more rational than all those robed clowns in America, who keep abusing their powers to thwart the efforts by Trump to fulfil his election promises.

But it’s not for legal tips that I recommend he meet these people.

The great thing about it would be a public show of international solidarity for free speech…

    ==

…which in France, as in Denmark, as in Canada, etc.,is under siege by jihadist fanatics.

It’s outrageous these savages are allowed to use courts of law to war down freedom.

PS – Trying as always to be fair, I must record an amazing break with France24 tradition -they actually had an American guest today, Stu Haugen, from ‘Republicans Overseas in France,’ who talked sense and presented facts.  How remarkable- but will such balance ever be seen again?

Mr. Haugen made the specific point that the Media Democrat Party in America try to keep Clintonista misdemeanours off the news.

For this he was assailed by a geezer called Lex Paulson, who apparently earns his living as a ‘lecturer in human rights and rhetoric!.’ Nuff said!

This was very interesting to read in your blog and thank you for giving the link to that article.
in France since so many foreign settlers have come in, they think they can force the French to stay quiet about their bad customs.
They wish very much to change the character of France from a free country to the kind of country they have come from. where religious liberty is forbidden and where their religion is above criticism.
Even Macron is today being attacked for talking freely about the African problem.
I hope he will not back down but I think he will.

Good to see an Indonesian film win plaudits at Cannes.

It’s not the first time we’ve been able to report that local talent achieved distinction. Prenjak in Cannes! Congratulations, Wrega from Jogja!

Although it would be unfair to say there are no visually pleasing experiences available…

… – as above! – I tend not to dwell on the Cannes Film Festival.

It comes across as largely an exercise in narcissism, seedy self-regard, a bunch of ‘intellectuals,’ whatever that means, telling each other how clever they are!

    =

    =

It’s all the more off-putting when, without actually saying so, they let us know how much better they are at appreciating movies than we normal folks.

Fact is, without us normals, there would be no film industry  ( it’s us commoners who pay to go to the movies, after all) except insofar as the cinematic in-crowd can rely on their cronies in the political in-crowd to rip tax-payers off…

…by splurging millions from the public purse in subsidies to help ding-bats produce movies most people wouldn’t cross the road to watch.

    ………..

When was the last time that really enjoyable films, like the good old Die Hard series, walked away with the Cannes trophies?

    Gambar terkait=

As for film critics, they should all be told to take a hike and find useful work as public toilet attendants or street-cleaners.

Their opinions are worthless, neither more nor less a useful guide to what to watch than yours, dear reader, or mine.

That leftist witch Lisa Nesselson, for example, infamously uses her well-paid position on France 24 to make snide, politically partisan attacks on anyone who offends her pinko prejudices.

    However!

As remarked at the top of our page, an Indonesian film has had complimentary reviews over there on The Riviera.
