    Jakarta – Anti-Fanatic Petition Nears 500K Signatures!

Having written about the FPI ( self-styled ‘Defenders of Islam’) vigilante gang….

Nightmare – Indonesian IslamoNazis Get Armed Forces Training!

…many a time in the past ten years or more…

IslamoNazi Gauleiter – “Women Already Have Limitations..

FPI in West Java – ‘Let’s Burn Out the Orphans!’

…I was interested to read that a petition launched to stop renewal of their license ( yes, vigilante gangs can apply for a license here as ‘community organisations’ or ‘Ormas!’ ) has already attracted some 473,000 signatures!

    https://www.change.org/p/menteri-dalam-negeri-tjahjo-kumolo-stop-ijin-fpi

A counter petition is also on the go, by fans of the fanatics, but, when last heard of, was lagging far behind their pluralist rivals.

Banning the sectarian outfit has been a recurring issue but has not been acted on by any government, for reasons that remain inexplicable to Indonesians of all creeds…

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Defenders_Front

…but only inexplicable until the historical background is considered, the gang’s origins going back to the turmoil surrounding the downfall of the Suharto regime when elements in the security forces took the FPI under their wing.

Astounding readiness to be seen in public on an amicable basis with the FPI leadership from people in high office has continued till the present day.

So Has Indonesia Come To This? Paradise Lost?

Even the country’s top cop, Tito Karnavian, has not hesitated to talk approvingly of the FPI’s ‘grand imam,’ Habib Rizieq, currently in Saudi Arabia  (and seemingly unwilling to come home. Police Add FPI Leader Rizieq Shihab to Most Wanted List )

“He was very tolerant actually… FPI is an Islamic organization so very tolerant of other religions,” he addedVideo Viral, Tito Karnavian: FPI Ormas Islam yang Sangat Toleran

You may wish to read the long local linked report  – Google Translate has gotten better recently – but I only wanted to let people know of the petition.

My blog has a steady Indonesian readership!

So I’ll close with an extract from the report, a quote from another leading FPI office-bearer, Sobri Lubis, who ‘assessed that those who refused to extend their organizational permits were those who like to commit immorality.

“Maybe people who are fond of sinners are usually those who ask that FPI be dissolved. No problem,” Sobri said at the residence of Prabowo Subianto on Jalan Kertanegara IV, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday (7/5) night.  https://m.cnnindonesia.com/nasional/20190508203941-20-393206/200-ribu-orang-tandatangani-petisi-setop-izin-fpi?

    Sinners, huh?

    …….

could ask why Prabowo is giving somebody of Lubis’ character house-room, but in order that new readers get my reference to Lubis’s character, they need to watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7RLCXNdKF4  –which shows him issuing his monstrous call for his rabble audience to ‘Bunuh, Bunuh, Bunuh’ (KILL KILL KILL!) innocent members of the peaceful and inoffensive Ahmadi minority.

….incitement for which he was never prosecuted, BTW!

Big Day For The Finns? Suomi Wakes Up!

A country I’m very fond of, going way back to when I ran the Helsinki Marathon, is holding its parliamentary elections today.

    ….

    Finnish-flag

Sadly, like many another European nation, Finland has allowed far too many primitive savages  to take up residence  within its borders, ingrate, sectarian savages, who have demonstrated how foolish such importation was, and is!

And it’s not just jihadist beasts like that swine in  Turku…

    ………

…who have caused thinking Finns to wake up to the migrant menace, but also evil primitive predators who commit crimes against their children.

    .

    Predators and Child Molestors

Finnish police have said around a quarter of last year’s 1,400 reports of sexual assaults against children involved suspects of foreign backgrounds — higher than the proportion of foreign-born people in the population, which is 6.6 percent.

Enter, or rather re-enter, the Finns Party.  These patriots have been around for a while, and, as the True Finns, did so well in 2017 that they entered government.

But the True Finns made too many concessions to join that coalition.

That caused a split, and the the F.P. has gone back to basics -and been rewarded with ever-rising popular support.

As well as high-handed hostility from the establishment.

    ..

    elite arrogance-s

All too typically, the in-crowd parties have adopted a childish, anti-democratic stance towards the patriots.

People are being raped, people are being killed. But the other parties are only interested in whether the Finns Party’s support is going up,” says party leader Jussi Halla-aho.

The arrogance of those other parties…

    dignif

…who have expressed distaste at the idea of joining a coalition with the Finns Party, is reminiscent of Mama Stasi’s collaborationists…

German Collabo Parties Trample Fair Play!

..who constantly engage in discriminatory action against the AfD patriots.

But significantly, we read that ‘few have ruled out cooperation entirely!’

So let’s hope for two things today.

First, that the Finns give the patriot party huge support via the ballot box.

And second, that, if the Finns Party does as well as we hope, they will bend the other parties to their will and start large-scale deportations of those whose mind-set belongs in an alien landscape

    Ford’s Folly, Dodgy Dunick…Tarek Fateh’s Wise Warning!

Ignore a warning once and you’re unwise. Ignore it twice and you deserve all you get.

    =

My interest in the problem that afflicts Canada is spurred by thoughts of Dominion Day…

    =

    …which falls today.

Yes, I still call it Dominion Day and am digging out my Red Ensign t-shirt in readiness for celebrating it.

    =

Yes, America has Independence Day! France has Bastille Day! And for 115 years — through two World Wars, the Korean conflict, and our early United Nations peacekeeping missions — Canada had Dominion Day.

But in July 1982, on a Friday afternoon with only 13 Members of Parliament sitting in session, on the last day before the summer recess, the government moved to change the name of our National Day and its celebration to “Canada Day”. Unimaginative some say — as banal as “America Day”, “France Day” or “Britain Day”   http://mapleleafup.ca/dominion.html

    =

It’s my way, in the far-off tropical climes of Indonesia, of reasserting the survival of the real Canadian identity I was raised with, loyalty to Queen and Country, a country that was a beacon of true Western values, which of course included the right to say what one thinks…

    =

    =

…no matter if some sad little twit feels my views are ‘inappropriate’ nor if some fanatical alien is ‘offended.’

The inability or unwillingness for the liberal elite to present a coherent defence of their illiberal intolerance of free speech – specifically on the issue of the sectarian threat – is powerfully exemplified by this burping bark from one of its enforcers when challenged to justify his despicable betrayal of honest journalism.

“Dude, we talked to her. She admitted she said it, but added it was taken out of context. Move on.”

FATAH: Lessons for Doug Ford from Bernard Lewis

    Gambar terkait

    Dodgy Dunick

    =

That was – incredibly – from a Canadian ‘editor’ (Leith Dunick, TB News) responding to Tarek Fateh, who is a first-class example of the kind of immigrant Canada has always needed, a founder-member of the Canadian Muslim Congress.

    =

    Tarek Fateh

A Muslim Voice of Reason – Khadr May Return, IF………!!!!

First of all, he must renounce jihad and the application of jihad and sharia law.”

    oooooooooooo

Tarek had had the temerity politely to approach Dunick, asking him ‘where Ayette had mentioned the words “Islam” or “Muslims.”

    Background

Lying Leith told his readers that Anne Ayette was fired for posting “anti-Muslim statements published on her Twitter account.”

    NOT TRUE. She didn’t!

Anne was on the campaign staff of the Progressive Conservative candidate in Kiiwetinoong, in Northern Ontario, until she was purged by a politically-correct puke…

    =

….evidently acting in collusion with Doug Ford (and that purge was one of the reasons I made no effort to utter pre-election praise for Ford, albeit he is a better politician than the lesbian liberal Wynne, whom he has recently replaced as Ontario’s Premier)

    =

    =

Anne’s ‘crime’ was to re-tweet approvingly a Tarek-tweet, concerning not the religion of Islam but the menace of ISLAMISM, the sectarian ideology I referred to above.

Anne hadn’t, of course, mentioned the words “Islam” or “Muslims.”

Yet Dunick’s standards of journalism are so sloppy, or his character so craven…

    =

    =

…that he didn’t hesitate to misrepresent her viciously in his lousy little newspaper.

I let the good Muslim patriot’s final paragraph speak for itself, and for many of us here – not just foreigners like me but honest decent Muslims too- who live in Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country.

If criticism and repudiation of Islamism  as opposed to Islam and Muslims, in general  is a punishable offence, deserving being fired without a hearing under a Doug Ford government, then heaven help us all.

‘Offensive?’ Defining ‘Rap’ & ‘Hip-Hop’ As MUSIC Offends!

Big row in Germany over two award-winning ‘rappers’ – reason?

They recorded ‘lyrics’ of a ‘song’ about Auschwitz.

German rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang won an Echo award Thursday night for their new album, including a track that contains the line “my body more defined than Auschwitz inmates’.”

    =

Controversy builds over German rappers accused of anti-Semitism

I’m sure Jews will be offended.

But it is also much more generally offensive that an organisation purporting to be responsible for music  – the ‘Echo Music Awards’ –    – should pay any attention to either ‘rap’ or ‘hip-hop’ which are no more identifiable as music…

    =

    =

…than the noise my cat makes when it eats some rubbish it’s found on the street and ( ever-thoughtful!) comes home and pukes on my floor.

The grisly duo of course deny all malign intent.

However, when their turn came to get the prize, the hip-hoppers rebuffed the accusations and warned against politicizing the matter.
“I do not want to make a political debate out of it here,” Kollegah said…

But I have to wonder if making mockery of maltreated Jews might not be interpreted as seeking to widen the appeal of this sort of bestial noise to the most rabid beasts…

Shadow Of Islamist Intolerance Darkens Depok Once Again

It’s not as if we haven’t looked into the ugly face of Islamist intolerance in Depok scores of times, sometimes with a grimace at the antics of those involved Islamist Bigot Biter Bit in West Java

But at other times one has to feel nothing but contempt for the mean-spirited oppression of the inoffensive and utterly blameless Ahmadiyah religious minority.

Sadly, the latest news falls into the latter category, nothing to smile about as sectarian bigotry blights the city yet again.

The Mayor of Depok thinks it’s acceptable to hammer religious liberty in his dismal city, apparently to meet the demands of “certain groups that pressured him into forbidding Ahmadiyah followers from carrying out their worship activities in Depok.”

    =

    =

Mayor Mohamed Idris sent in his goon-squad, the SatPol PP – civic militia – and now the Ahmadis’ Al-Hidayah Mosque has been sealed.

One government flunkey tries to justify suppression of religious liberty by invoking the locals’ numbskull bigotry.

fDepok National and Political Unity Agency head Dadang Wihana argued that the closure was aimed at maintaining a peaceful situation and to protect the Ahmadis themselves, saying that the locals had felt disturbed by their presence and they might incite conflicts.  http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/06/08/ahmadis-plan-lawsuit-against-depok-administration.html

One might think it’s numbskulls, like those who can’t observe other people’s ways of worship without getting ‘disturbed, that deserve the attentions of the SatPol PP.

    ======

The militia is equipped with sturdy batons which might knock some sense into those numb skulls!

It’s fairly nauseating to be back on the subject of religious liberty in Depok, West Java, yet again.

    =============

It’s especially offensive because Ramadhan is meant to be a holy month of reflection and introspection, not persecution, but the authorities in Depok clearly care little for soul-searching and much more for witch-hunting.

Ahmadiyah spokesman Yendra Budiana said that the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) and the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) had urged the mayor to not restrict religious freedom…  http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/06/04/authorities-allegedly-seal-ahmadiyah-mosque-in-depok.html

But decent people versus ‘certain groups?’

Not much of a contest in Dark Age Depok.

The Ahmadis are now talking lawsuit, but if the powerful Governor of Jakarta can be sent to prison for quoting an Islamic verse, what chance do a small congregation of humble folk persecuted in Depok have?

Important question – who are these ‘certain groups?’

Neither the Ahmadi leader nor the Jakarta Post seem up to telling us. Ahmadis, of course, have faced murderous persecution…

    —–

Islamist beasts at their bloody work in Cikeusik

    —-

… notably at Cikeusik six years ago, when three of them were martyred by a mob of Islamist savages. They have reasons to be wary.

But it’s surely the Jakarta Post’s job to report properly and seek out the ‘certain groups?

    =

Sectarian gangsters need to be exposed, not covered for, although there’s a pretty good bet that it’s IslamoNazis at work again.

Which particular gang? I don’t know, and I haven’t got the resources the newspapers have to find out.

    If I had, I’d try.

    Has the JP tried?

    Doubt it.

Why No Terrorists On Indonesia’s Death Row?

The poisonous ideology purveyed by evil men ( like those in the maximum security prison by Cilacap) and their fellow-fanatics still uncaged, not only revels in death but threatens every liberty cherished by decent people of all creeds in this beautiful country.

    • …………..
    • Indonesia’s excellent Densus 88 anti-terror unit do a good job at thinning the satanic ranks, but the it’s the state which should exact the proper penalty on those captured.

The problem, I understand, lies with the legal system, with too many ‘compassionate’ courts, like that which let off the Cikeusik vermin with slap-on-the-wrist sentences five years ago…

Often, too, prosecutors don’t even ASK for the death penalty, admittedly, probably, because they know they’re wasting their breath.

Aceh is NOT ‘Conservative’ “Barbaric’ Is the Proper Adjective!

I see Indonesia’s international reputation is once more being tainted by the bigot savages who run Aceh, the shariah-stricken province which likes to style itself the Verandah of Mecca.

    ———-

    Shariah Controlled Zone_thumb[1]

    ————-

The media reports of an ‘elderly Christian woman’ publicly flogged by a masked sectarian lout are sickening.

They would be just as bad, were the victim an elderly Muslim woman, or indeed a young Muslim woman.

In this case, the lady was seized for selling alcohol – the first time someone from outside the Islamic faith has been punished there under strict religious laws. The 60-year was whipped nearly 30 times with a rattan cane before a crowd of hundreds in Aceh province Tuesday, an official said, along with a couple who were subjected to 100 lashes for committing adultery.

And as Parliament in Jakarta debates the Prohibition Bill,  which would extend the ‘offence’ of selling a drink across the entire archipelago, this sends a shudder through everyone except the worst elements in the land.

But PLEASE! Will the media please stop calling Aceh ‘conservative.’

Aceh is in fact merely BARBARIC!

    ——————.

Conservatism, in the Indonesian context, reflects the thinking of those who yearn for a return to the good old days.

They were fading even when I first came here,,just after the fall of Sukarno, an era of easy-going inter-faith tolerance of which my first students told me, when Christians and Muslims helped each other decorate their neighbourhoods for Christmas and Idul Fitri.

In those days it would have been unimaginable to see innocent people bludgeoned to death for religious dissent. Moronic rabble trying to prevent minority houses of worship being built may have existed, but they didn’t swagger with the impunity we see today. Headscarves were much fewer, and short skirts much more frequent.

    A lost paradise?

Maybe, but it’s the Indonesian past that REAL conservatives dream of.

Three Cheers for Jakarta, Where People Are Normal and Nice!

Yesterday I shopped briefly whilst meandering around Jakarta.

    plasasemanggi-retailmalls

Bulk shopping bores me – more fun (and easier to lug home on the angkot) if one picks up a few items at a time, Carrefour one day, Hypermarket the next or Lotte Mart or maybe Giant, which is where I went yesterday, their branch in Plaza Semanggi.

In the past, I’ve rated them for their bargain prices – Giant is the overall winner there, as a rule, with Carrefour at the bottom of the league – a ‘50% off’ sticker is a rarity in those stores!

    =============================

    • Blok M Square's Carrefour
    • =================
    • And it’s always an interesting exercise to judge who’s got the prettiest shop assistants. Carrefour, on balance, though Lotte ain’t far behind!

In the department store stakes, Matahari wins hands down in terms of attractive staff.

But when you go to a supermarket cashier, everyone queues together. Yesterday’s cashier was a scarfed lady, who totted up my purchases, exchanging polite pleasantries as she did so.

No nasty, sectarian apartheid, as is apparently the case in Dubai.

“The signs put in the supermarkets are to display that products must be segregated since we received many complaints from people who did not think it was right to have the same cashier for non-Muslim foods and other foods,” he said.  Separate cashiers for non-Muslim foods at Dubai supermarkets | GulfNews.com.

Apartheid in action, inspired by fanatics.

But let’s not imagine only Arab countries harbour such nonsense – we’ve reported before on a bigot bint in England, who should have been fired but wasn’t.

Tesco Covers for Bigot Staff After Sectarian Snub to Shopper!

So let me sing another verse of my daily song of praise for Jakarta, and the friendly folk who live here – 90% Muslim, and some of their co-religionists in the UK and the Gulf would do well to learn from their civilised mentality.
