    Hollywood Hypocrisy, Again!

It’s difficult not to despise Hollywood’s repeated hypocrisy, whether on issues like Red Indian ‘restitution…’

    ..

“I was brought up in a country that relished fear-based religion, corrupt government and an entire white population living on stolen property that they murdered for and that is passed on from generation to generation.”

This from the multi-millionaire owner of a mansion in Malibu, among other pleasant property so far unrestored to the Red Indian ‘owners.’

Exclusion Order for Pinko Penn, Enemy of Self-Determination?

    …or Cuban despotism.

But today I just want to offer a link –

TOTO: Biden Accusation Puts Hollywood Hypocrisy On Full Blast

     – to an excellent article on the Biden molestation allegations, or rather the deafening celeb silence with which very serious sexual assault charges have been met.

Who Is This Trollope? A Gabbling Europhiliac Granny!

Not at my most dynamic, recovering from my Dominion Day night out, a good fin evening, chatted with some guys, met a very nice lady, had the best part of a gallon of Bintang…

Then when I surfaced today, my noontide was severely clouded by Pretty Boy Turdo on the news, celebrating Canada Day…

    =

    • …by saying the country was no melting pot, in other words, any kind of primitive can waltz in without leaving backward, ‘diverse,’ barbaric values back where they came from.

Canada’s Enemy Within – Will Turdeau “Have To Look at The Root Causes?”

Par for the Turdo course , of course

So after that I skipped the news, looking around for interesting bits and pieces.

Here you are, the best I found.

Nothing infuriated me more, in the long battle for Brexit, than comments made by Joanna Trollope in The Spectator last year. On a book-signing tour of Wales she expressed her astonishment that the people of the principality had voted for Brexit when Wales was supposedly a net beneficiary of EU largesse – otherwise known as taxpayers’ money extorted from British people to be dished out by Eurocrats as they see fit.

Why did I feel so insulted by her remarks?

Because she was suggesting that people should vote simply on the grounds of economic self-interest. I would, of course, dispute her claim that Wales benefits economically from EU membership, but, even if it did, I would argue that freedom and democracy are not commodities to be bought or traded in return for bribes purchased with taxpayers’ money.

That’s from this week’s Freedom Association bulletin, and I couldn’t agree more.

But I had to go to Google to find out who the heck that Trollope woman was!

    =====

    ===

Turns out she’s an opinionated old bat who writes ‘romantic fiction,’ which I never read so that’s why she was unknown to me.

But why on earth did the Spectator, or any part of the media, deem her views on Brexit any more worthy of mention than the views of the guy who cleans their toilets?

Or the lady who makes Spectator staff ‘s coffee?

    =

    OOPS!

I’ll get accused of sexism – shift those roles around, ladies can clean toilets, guys can make coffee!

    But my point remains.

‘Celebrities’ have as much right as anyone else to hold and express views on subjects on which they are not notably qualified to pronounce.

    =

    =

But there’s NO reason for the media to give their B-S any more prominence than the views of anyone else.

Incidentally, I have upgraded my otherwise low opinion of The Independent, after reading a review published therein of a Trollope ‘novel.’

If I was any one of the characters imprisoned in the murky jelly of this novel, I’d be straight on to the Adoption Agency, demanding to be re-settled with another creator. Joanna Trollope has a subject capable of making us weep at the tragedy and the loss, and yet what does she achieve? She so resolutely makes her characters emote to each other in a ghastly brand of unisex mush that I actually found myself blushing.

Potsdamer Platz Polluted By Pinkos – Get Real, Gere!

Back in the bad old days in Berlin, when a large chunk of the city was under the heel of the DDR quisling regime, Potsdamer Platz was a sad, sorry place, a once-splendid square divided between freedom and communism.

Those in the East who sought that freedom were often murdered by the Communist brutes paid to pen them in.

Young Peter Fechter, below, was one such victim.

Much of it was a wasteland, which one could view from a wooden platform erected on the Western side.

I once stood there myself, in the mid-1960s, looking across at the bleak vista.

    Potsdamer Platz, 1963

    oooooooooooo

After reunification, it came to life again, a symbol. almost, of the triumph of liberty over the lies of marxism.

But last night I tuned into Deutsche Welle, when there it was again, the same old self-serving propaganda of the Left, malignant and mendacious.

    =================

The occasion this weekend is something called the Berlinale, a film festival, inevitably attracting a pack of pinko ‘celebrities,’ including Americans eager to snipe at their own homeland.

Unaware, probably, of the irony that the East German puppet government had once used the same vicinity to blatt out anti-American propaganda, an increasingly senescent Richard Gere has been spewing out his hate – he ranted last night that he wouldn’t even sit down to dinner with Donald Trump!

    Lucky old Donald!

Gere’s sanctimonious animosity metamorphosed into a deranged description of Mama Stasi Merkel’s Germany as a ‘role model’ for its willingness to take in displaced people when other nations would not.

If displaced persons was indeed the phrase he used, Gere’s guilty of gross misrepresentation.

I went to Berlin in the sixties too, Ross. I liked the place, but I felt sorry for the Germans on the other side of the line.
Now I still feel sorry for all the Germans with all those horrible so-called displaced persons.
We had DPs come to Australia too but they were real refugees and they were never ungrateful or violent to us the way those animals are to the Germans.
if they were honestly in fear of their lives, you are right, they would be happy to get out of their own countries into any safe place. All this lot want are free stuff and women to grab at.

Self-Important Actors, Past-Their-Prime Primadonnas, Appear In Anti-Trump Video

I have of course modified the headline from that found on CBS, which was this –

Martin Sheen, Other Celebrities Appear in Video Urging Electors Not to Vote for Trump …

There’s a list of these ‘celebrities’ – I thought the word meant famous people but apart from Sheen, most of them are people I’ve never heard of before – nor wish to again!

Debra Messing, James Cromwell, BD Wong, Noah Wyle, Freda Payne, Bob Odenkirk, J. Smith Cameron, Michael Urie, Moby, Mike Farrell, Loretta Swit, Richard Schiff, Christine Lahti, Steven Pasquale, Dominic Fumusa, Emily Tyra, and Talia Balsam.

    Moby?

He starred in a novel by Herman Melville, right?

No, not the same fishy character, it seems, but since wikipedia tells us he has also been known as Voodoo Child, Barracuda, Lopez, DJ Cake, Brainstorm, Mindstorm AND UHF, I guess I may be forgiven for any confusion.

    Freda Payne?

I vaguely recall her from 1970, when she had a hit, Band of Gold, not bad, but does that make her a celebrity? Much the same can be said for another past-it actress, from a long-discontinued series, Loretta Swit.

Michael Urie?-another actor who has referred to himself as “a member of the LGBT community.”

As for B D Wong – I assumed he might be related to the notorious Australian lesbian socialist Penny Wong,  after learning that B D  donates his time and resources to a number of LGBT and arts-related charities,

    But apparently not.

    Who cares, anyway?

Like, who do these people think they are?
    Worth listening to?

Their politically and/or sexually partisan prejudices against Trump carry no more weight than those of any poor old bums gibbering in a Big Apple alley.

    ——

It’s reminiscent of some other ‘famous’ clowns a month or so ago, a UK story whose headline I also must parody, viz.-

Wow! 300 Shop Assistants Sign Xenophobia Petition?

And why should they not, if they feel strongly about something?

But would they have gotten headlines in the rotten media, a sample of which we append below?

300 Academics Sign Open Letter To PM Over Xenophobia

    http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/300-academics-sign-open-letter-to-pm-over-xenophobia-1-4253617

    Who cares?

These ‘intellectuals’ are probably among the least useful people in the British Isles…ivory tower elitists, tucked up in cosy college common rooms, or doing ‘jobs’ like ‘story-teller,’ or ‘arts project manager,’ or ‘ spoken word artist/artistic programmer,’ with comfortable life-styles.

    • dignif

Such people may be ‘qualified’ to lecture on a variety of superficial subjects like ‘sociology’  – but not to lecture Theresa May, calling on her to “rein in” her government’s divisive and “xenophobic” language…

    ——-

    b5300-retardalert

    ———-

Their opinions on serious national issues – or non-issues, like ‘xenophobia’ – are no more worthy of media attention than the opinions of shop assistants, or car-wash workers, or waitresses or street-sweepers.

Less worthy, in fact, because those latter groups perform services beneficial to society.

Yet the left-lib media splashed this petition from over-paid whiners as if their whines are of interest or significance to normal people!

It’s all the more offensive when the whiners include jerks known for their collaboration with agitprop outfits serving an anti-democratic agenda, like this…

    Red Baroness Kennedy–

UK – Red Baroness Rants For Renegades’ Rights

Another one mentioned is some foreign hack nonentity in Scotland, once shortlisted for Guardian International Development Journalist…

    WOW!

That must have been a distressing time, only getting on the short-list. Was it distressing on a par with his current woes, expressed in his tirade against the ( belated and somewhat wishy-washy) UK government recognition that there’s a duty to put British people first in Britain.

“The last thing a society needs is this sort of dehumanising language dividing people into ‘foreign’ or ‘non-foreign,’

Is he all a-fret because he fears his cushy berth is in danger?

    Grow up, Mr. Grimnasty!

Of course any UK Government worth its salt should bedividing people into ‘foreign’ or ‘non-foreign’ – and giving priority in jobs and housing to non-foreign, i.e. BRITISH citizens!

Does this cry-baby from Eire expect Theresa May to apologise?

    ———

    sorry

    But on he witters.

It is quite xenophobic and can leave some people feeling more emboldened, that ‘maybe it’s OK to say that someone doesn’t belong here.’  http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/300-academics-sign-open-letter-to-pm-over-xenophobia-1-4253617

Damn right it’s OK to say that someone doesn’t belong here!’

Not only this blog but plenty of other media have recorded more than enough examples of creatures who don’t belong in Britain.

Learco Chindamo was, is, not only a brutal murderer but a liar as well, who for years claimed that he was the victim of mistaken identity, but later said, ”I did a terrible thing when I killed Mr Lawrence…

He was jailed indefinitely but some gutless clowns on a parole board let him out in 2010. That piece of garbage is walking London’s streets even as I type this, despite the fact that he most definitely doesn’t belong here!’

    Not Welcome! Doormat

Would the Southern Irish hack signatory to that petition regard it as xenophobic to make that assertion?

No matter what the point they are making, I blame the media for giving these celebrities any prominence, as if they were experts, like doctors on the subject of disease.
Their opinions on song-writing or movie-making might be worth more than mine, but on public policy, not for a minute.

There must be few types of people who contribute less to our country,* and that goes for your country, wherever you are, as well as mine, than these ‘celebrities’ – I guess lawyers are down there somewhere, and muggers, but celebrities are pretty much the most worthless members of any community.
I think the media that keep giving them headlines are really the ones at fault. The media will use any stick to beat patriotic leaders specially Trump cause he tells them off for their biased reporting. , ,
