Free Speech Upheld In Spain – Amnesty Rages!

Excellent news from Spain, where a court has thrown out demands by leftists to criminalise an election ad…

…..published by the patriot party Vox, which often comes under attack by intolerant extremists.

Viva Vox – Despite Red Thuggery And Slack Policing, Patriot Party Surging?

We had been hoping that democratic principles would prevail in respect of Vox’s right to remind Spanish voters of the blight inflicted on society…

…by so many of the so-called ‘unaccompanied minors’ – illegal aliens who claim to be ‘children’ and batten onto the public purse.

Robbery, Attempted Rape?’ Spain’s ‘Youngster’ Migrant Blight!

The very un-child-like character of these ‘menas‘ has been horrifying Spaniards for some time.

And of course not just Spaniards….….

    Nine Young Women In Denmark

    Poor Little Unaccompanied Minor Migrants

…because decent people all over Europe are similarly plagued.

Agreeably, a pro-crimmigrant prosecutor has been slapped down by Madrid”s provincial court.

The Vox poster, said the court, was not a ‘hate-crime’ but an ‘election slogan.’

Independently of whether the figures provided are true or not, [foreign migrants] represent an obvious social and political problem, with consequences and effects on our international relations, as is well-known.”

Needless to say, the viciously far-left ‘NGO,’ Amnesty International, has been loudly ranting about the need to silence patriots.

Their Catalan branch, emulating their comrades’ hostility to free speech elsewhere…

AmnestyShamnesty! Making War On Free Speech

…waded into party politics yet again, accusing Vox of “hate speech against unaccompanied migrant children in a situation of helplessness...”

    . ..

Teenage alien louts capable of sexual assault and robbery can hardly be deemed helpless, methinks!

The court ruling continued, as follows.

:“The sharing of certain ideas shouldn’t be seen as criminal unless their final aim is to threaten, injure or disdain. While it may be critical, it is legitimate as long as it is expressed in a manner that does not lead to the aforementioned illegal ends.”

And that’s good enough for me!

May democratic debate continue on the crimmigrant issue despite red censorship attempts.

    “Spanish Court Defenestrates Catalan Leader!”

    I find the EUObserver’s Europhilia off-putting, and I despise their nasty witch-hunting….

…and now I have to add their poor command of the English language…

…to my reasons for disliking that only occasionally useful part of the media.

That headline of theirs, which I have made my own headline, would seem to herald an unusual, dramatic and possibly horrifying story.

    But instead we get this!

Spain’s Supreme Court has barred the regional president of Catalonia, Quim Torra, from holding office because he displayed separatist banners from a government building during Spain’s general election last year. https://euobserver.com/tickers/149576

The meaning of defenestration is unambiguous.

It means being thrown out of a window.

One does not need to have learned Latin to know this. One only needs a little familiarity with Central European history.

The Defenestration of Prague is a famous moment – and an unfortunate one for those defenestrated 402 years ago….

The Defenestration of Prague of 1618 by Karel Svoboda.

…though it could have been worse.

The two Catholic delegates landed in a heap of dung, so were not seriously injured, despite a long fall.

Needless to say, that Catalan geezer was not removed from his office in any manner resembling that by which those poor guys in the painting were.

I can think of quite a few MPs I would love to defenestrate!
      A wonderful word.

A good English lesson, Ross, and a history lesson too, but that reference to witch-hunting lost me.
I have been looking back at your recent criticisms of EUObserver but although they have some very leftwing people working for them, I would like you please to expand on the witch-hunt?

        Apologies, sir.
I have about six or more draft posts backed up, and will try to expedite publication this weekend.

Brits! Be Warned If You’re Flyin’ With Ryan (Unfair) Air!

No patriotic Brit who knows anything about Ryanair would ever willingly buy one of their tickets.

That Eire alien Michael O’Leary, who runs the company, has stuck his arrogant nose into UK politics once too often…

    Let’s Ruin Ryanair – Boycott Europhiliac O’Leary!

…well, more than once, to be sure!

But now, thanks to a part of the media I don’t usually like, one of those publicly-funded propaganda outlets…

…we learn of a non-political, entirely commercial, aspect of their operation which should make any would-be fliers think twice.

Euronews has a longish report, but in a nutshell, a court in Spain has branded Ryanair’s ‘controversial cabin baggage policy ‘ as, wait for it…

The court had heard how the money-grubbing airline charged a woman TWENTY euros to take aboard hand luggage weighing only 10 kilograms on an inter-city trip from Madrid to Brussels.

Ryanair was ordered to refund the rip-off impost AND was told that their policy..

“curtailed the rights that the passenger has recognized by law” https://www.euronews.com/2019/11/20/spanish-court-rules-ryanair-s-cabin-baggage-policy-abusive-and-invalidShared

But here’s what made me use this story – not the rip-off, but the sheer brazen arrogance of the culprit company’s reaction to the verdict!

In a statement on Wednesday, Ryanair said: “This ruling will not affect Ryanair’s baggage policy, either in the past or in the future, as it is an isolated case that misinterpreted our commercial freedom to determine the size of our cabin baggage.”

How uppity can this bunch get?

Although the report says the judgement could not be appealed, we must remember that O’Leary has friends in very high, if publicity-shy, places..

That plonker should be declared an undesirable alien and kept out of our UK.
