So a frightful self-righteous professor named Kerryn Phelps has outrageously declared that decent parents who want prevent their kids growing up to be sexually maladjusted “need psychological counselling!”

That’s the brave new world the gaystapo are battling for, all right, and it is a wake-up call to Australians who have yet to realise that the postal ballot is not just about pairs of men mincing down the aisle hand in hand.

Having won the battles  – but not yet, thanks be, the wars – in the UK and USA (I’ll skip Canada, too deep in the queer quagmire to rescue, at least for the foreseeable future)  the cultural marxists now see The Lucky Country as a glittering prize within their grasp.

The spoils of victory, in the eyes of the ‘gay’ lobby, are much more than the redefinition of marriage but rather the destruction of the family unit by meddling with the minds of children, and obstructing the efforts of normal parents who seek to safeguard their offspring.

The calls from Turnbull and Co for restraint in debate appear to have fallen on deaf ears as far as the nasty professor is concerned.

BTW, she is no disinterested academic.

She’s a politician, and more than that…

In 2009, Phelps was named one of the 25 most influential lesbians in Australia by readers of the website samesame.com.au.

There’s another fact, also recorded by wikipedia, that her previous spouse was…wait for it…a MAN, by whom she had offspring!

Their break-up and its consequences are sad to read about – Phelps’s son speaks out – smh.com.au – but the strife is no excuse for her arrogance, her readiness to resurrect coercive psychological ‘counselling’ as a weapon against dissident parents.

Odd, is it not, that the fanatic old bat changed her OWN ‘sexual orientation’ from normal to abnormal?

So it was not inborn, any more than that of  the wife of New York City’s mayor, who changed her ‘orientation’ from abnormal to normal.

But when normal parents detect signs in their kids of abnormal inclinations, Phelps reckons it’s intolerable that they exercise proper parental responsibility by getting therapy?

Phelps shrills that remedial treatment for maladjusted children is as horrific as genital mutilation…

….and she thinks it’s “frankly outrageous” that Australian parents have the right to seek to cure kids who show signs of abnormal sexual urges,

‘It’s psychological mutilation,” she said..”They’re coming from the angle that there’s something to be cured or something to be fixed.”

Bloody right!

Any parent who doesn’t do his or her best to save their sons or daughters from a life spent in un-natural relationships hardly deserves to be called a parent at all.

The persecution of Christians proceeds with ever more spite and venom, and a bulletin from FRC tells us about one particular case that shines a bright light on how mean-spirited and intolerant triumphalist queers can be.

Unlike Turnbull, President Trump – whose own views on that ruling are admittedly somewhat opaque – cares enough about religious liberty that he’s seen fit to send his Justice Department into battle, so appalling are the circumstances.

It’s all about a baker, named Jack Phillips, who had the temerity to turn down a wedding cake order for a ceremony that contradicts his faith.

The comments in the bulletin are worth quoting.

“The government may not compel an unwilling speaker to join a group or event at odds with his religious or moral beliefs,” Attorney General Jeff Session’s team argued. “Otherwise, a graphic designer whose clients include ‘a Jewish affinity group’ could also be forced to make fliers ‘for a neo-Nazi group….'”

An apt analogy, when one compares the way how one act of appeasement after another failed to placate the Nazis in the 1930s.

Thing is, the baker treated his customers with unimpeachable civility.

Jack offered to sell the men anything in his store.

But does anyone imagine that gaystapo witch-hunters would be content with a courteous and helpful response, any more than Hitler was content with any of the concessions made to his aggressions.

Already, bakers, florists, website designers, and dressmakers have been sued, fined, and harassed for trying to live as openly about their faith as the Left has about its sexuality.

As we’ve said from the beginning, tolerance is for everyone — or else it isn’t tolerance at all. Taking a wrecking ball to a young couple’s business  or threatening a grandmother’s home isn’t a down payment on “equality;” it’s a death warrant for freedom.

There is discrimination in this case — but not against people who identify as LGBT. It’s against Jack Phillips and the millions of others who share his views about marriage.

Please note, many examples of gaystapo anti-Christian activity occurred BEFORE the high court ruling, but despite the queers getting all they wanted from a narrow majority of wayward judges, the hate campaigns continue.

Australians have no reason to expect they will not experience the same bitter queer bigotry if they give in and vote Yes.
