Strasbourg Slugs In Secret Session -EUSSR Transparency Par Excellence!!

The European Parliament is keeping the public in the dark in its first real probe into the EU’s border agency, Frontex.

The ‘probe’ begins today, but is a waste of time.

Frontex was never likely to be any use to anyone, except to those who enjoyed the excess it afforded to its top flunkeys….

Scandal-Shamed Frontex Weasels Out Of Border Duty!

….since what’s the point of a border force answerable to a clique of commissars with no interest in border security and….

Kaiserin’s Red Commissar Ylva Yelps At Border Defenders…

In a tweet, Johansson said she took the findings by the Danish Refugee Council “as evidence of push-backs and inhuman and degrading treatment of people at the Croatian border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am taking these reports very seriously….”

Hungary Defends Europe, Despite EU Back-Stab!

….vocal in its rage at countries whose border forces did seek to defend borders against undesirable aliens!

I don’t think the tax-payers who have had their money filched by the Brussels Empire to pay for Frontex   –  and for the salaries and intolerable perks enjoyed by the MEPS who are attending today’s secret session – are missing much by being excluded.

Frontex is a big bad joke.
I think this secret session is the plan to let MEP complain about the push-back but real problem is Frontex do not enough pushing back.

What’s To Debate? Dirty Greedy Strasbourg Slugs!

The European Parliament is debating whether to retain MEP daily allowances, even when they work remotely from home.

The daily €323 lump sum is meant to cover things like hotel bills and meals, provided MEPs physically sign a register either inside the parliament in Brussels or in Strasbourg…

Is there no end to the slimy self-indulgence of these slugs in Strasbourg?

Of COURSE they need no hotel rooms if they’re working at home.

Of COURSE they need no meals, when they can eat what they or their spouses prepare for them.

If that allowance is paid, despite the fact there’s no justification, then they should be told by voters everywhere to pass it on to some deserving cause, like…

…establishing a Europe-wide support group, for women and children traumatised by sexual assaults committed by fake-‘refugees.’

Dirty Strasbourg Slugs! What Are They Hiding?

Strasbourg Slug Mafia Breaks The Rules – Dirty Tricks, Again!

Not unexpectedly, no fair dealing in Strasbourg, where the patriot bloc is set to be denied its fair share of committee chairmanships by the in-crowd.

Dirty tricks deployed to defeat democracy

As Euractiv puts it, the bloc, the Identity and Democracy (ID) group, which includes Matteo Salvini’s Lega party and Marine Le Pen’s National Rally, ‘are being kept away from taking key positions in the Parliament…’

The perpetrators’ hypocrisy is clearly illustrated, since no such “cordon sanitaire” is applied to far left parties like the Greens…

…or the Leftist gang known as the ‘European United Left / Nordic Green Left,’ despite their inclusion of Sinn Fein fans of the IRA murder-gang.

France 24’s “Debate” Features Jew-Bashing Convicted Terrorist!

….no, there’s no ‘cordon sanitaire against Sinn Fein scum.

Only against ‘anti-European and populist parties!

Curiously, Euractiv tells us that there have been doubts that the anti-democratic practice would continue, as ‘some MEPs believe it to be difficult to justify from a democratic perspective.’

In fact it’s impossible to justify from any democratic perspective, but is seemingly being repeated as an act of pure political malice.

I am divided on this ‘cordon sanitaire’ issue,” admitted a French MEP. “However, when I saw the attitude of Rassemblement National MEPs during the opening session… it was a sad spectacle. These people do not want to play by the institution’s rules,” he added.

Really? Did patriot members run wild, throwing punches at the ruling class’s henchmen? Did  they even seek to prevent debate by shouting down opponents?

Image result for brexit party anthem

The ID patriot offence was nearly identical to the dignified protest when the Brexit Party’s Brits turned their backs when that ‘European anthem,’ was played last week.

    Marine’s members declined to stand.

If I’m at an event here in Jakarta, where Indonesia’s national anthem is played, of course I stand to attention. It’s common courtesy, as Indonesians do for God Save The Queen, or O Canada – a sign of respect for each other’s national hymn, of the country to which one belongs.

    The EUSSR is no country.

    Nor is it respected.

But according to the report on the anti-democratic manoeuvres. The patriot members’ refusal to render obeisance to the anthem of oppression, ‘has helped convince some of those who are sceptical’ that the vendetta against fair play must be pursued, even though Identity and Democracy has 73 MEPs, just one less than the extremist Greens.

The rule by which positions among the Strasbourg Slugs are apportioned is called the  ‘d’Hondt rule.’ Since Euractiv explains it, I quote rather than try to explain it myself, as I might get it wrong.

Having such ‘figures would give their group’s MEPs access to a certain number of posts. This rule ensures the distribution of key positions among the different political families according to a complex calculation that aims to ensure everyone is represented.’

    ‘Everyone is represented?

    But that’s democratic!

And that’s unacceptable to the ruling class rat-pack!

The d’Hondt rule has given rise to certain monstrosities…’

That’s how Sylvie Guillaume, the leader of the French MEPs of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) …

Image result for sylvie guillaume socialist

… describes playing fair, because by doing so the EU Parliament should have placed an MEP from the Rassemblement National at the head of one of these two committees.

And Red Ranter Sylvie is not on her own!

The four main groups in the European Parliament are now all in agreement to keep the ‘cordon sanitaire’ around the ID group, which is now unlikely to obtain any committee chairmanships.

Beware Europhiliac Hacks Who Slant Brexit News!

I wonder if The Independent’s Joe Stone actually considers himself a journalist.

He styles himself their ‘Europe Correspondent,’ but his reporting is so blatantly partisan that a more apt description might be a lickspittle Europhiliac hack.

Get this, a chunk of anti-Brexit Party bias extracted from his ‘report’ on Anne Widdecombe’s maiden speech this week.

The former Tory shadow home secretary claimed Britain was “oppressed” and, apparently without irony, likened Brexit to a colony rising up against an occupying empire.

That comparison exactly echoes how millions of Brits view the situation and why a majority voted for deliverance in 2016.

So why does this scribbler Stone insert his snide reference to ‘irony?’

    Definition of Irony

‘ ….the use of words that are the opposite of what you mean, as a way of being funny….’

There’s no place for ‘irony’ when the UK faces an arrogant supranational entity bent on a ‘back-stop’ which will, if implemented, destabilise the unity of the realm to appease an alien and hostile republic…

Read This As Polls Open – Report Slams Sly MEP Swine!

A third of MEPs even declined to reveal addresses of their offices, gave addresses that could not be found on the map or simply refused to answer.

    That’s pretty bad.

What have they got to hide?

…investigations (brought together under The MEPs Project) had shown that many of these offices just did not exist….

The question above, and the stunning conclusion, come from a report on a case lost by a group of journalists  and you should note well that these are NOT ‘populist’ or ‘nationalist’ journos.

    Not at all.

I’m looking at a page from the fanatically Europhiliac EUObserver.

    As they say themselves –

We, the journalists from The MEPs Project who have co-signed this opinion piece do not share a political platform.

We have very different opinions on the future of the EU.

However, as reporters covering European affairs, we have one common objective: to hold elected officials accountable for their decisions as well as their use of taxpayers´ money.

I’m not going to quote the entire report, but it’s worth noting that their indictment of ‘Europe’ is not ONLY of the Strasbourg Slug MEPs..

….but also of the arrogant elitists on the ECJ – the very body to whose arbitrary rulings…

    evil judge

…Theresa the Traitrix would have her sleazy deal, backstop and all, be subject.

the European Court of Justice…decided that the MEPs’ right to privacy trumped our right of access to documents

Euro-Jerk Judges laughing at the tax-payers?

We thought the European Court of Justice would recognise the democratic public interest in this request.

We thought the European parliament would share our concern and seize the chance to strengthen the legitimacy of the parliament.

We were wrong on both assumptions.

Given that reality, why would ANYONE in the UK want Britain to stay in a sty occupied by dirty, disreputable, greedy swine?

In 2019, all members receive €4,513 each month for keeping offices in their home countries while not on duty in Brussels and Strasbourg.

This allowance comes on top of their salaries (€8,757.70/month), and in addition to reimbursements for travel costs (business airfare/first-class rail fare).

They also receive allowances for living costs (€320/day). The office allowances represents more than €40m a year.

Out of 748 MEPs at the time of our investigation in 2017, only 53 were prepared to show documentation for actual spending.https://euobserver.com/opinion/144827

    enjoy-its from europe

    As the journos remark…

So much for transparency of public spending.

We did not ask what tax the parliamentarians pay or how they otherwise use their salary.

We were not looking for information about their private lives.

Rather we asked for documents that the European parliament is supposed to have in order to verify that this public money is spent in accordance with the rules.

This argument was not enough to break the privacy barrier, we were told by the court.

Their final segment is headed, accurately, with the words, ‘Lost battle...’

Thus, we lost the legal battle. Then there was the political reaction.

On 31 January 2019 a majority of the Members of the European Parliament voted in favour of a change of the rules that govern their expenditures.

It will in the future be made technically possible for individual MEPs to publish a voluntary audit of their use of the General Expenditure Allowance (GEA), the office money, on their official websites.

    That is to say:

    No demand for auditing.

    No obligations to document costs.

No accountability of how the allowances are used.

There’s a lot more, but anyone naive enough to contemplate a vote for Remain stooge shouldn’t need ANY more!

f the European parliament rejecting responsibility and accountability.

This is all the more surprising as now the EU commissioners and the top officials of the EU agencies publish details about their travel expenses.

Now that all the campaigners have fallen silent, almost, once the voting’s done, we have to wait and see.
I read somewhere that Brussels has banned exit polls.
Is that so and if it is so, who gave Brussels the power to tell our UK media what they can and cannot publish?

      • Adrian Bonner 11:06 pm on May 23, 2019 Permalink | Reply

I’m afraid so, Diana. There are lots of laws about elections but as usual the UK has to do what it’s told by Brussels, or else.
EU dictates are not to be challenged.

I confirmed this from the BBC’s own website, and they admit that ‘there is an additional restriction in the UK for European elections…it is a criminal offence to publish exit polls or opinion polls which ask people how they’ve voted (anywhere in the EU) before 22:00 BST on Sunday 26 May.’

British political leaders have never stood up to Brussels on this and I have never heard of any media protests either. To me, it’s not something I care much about, one way or the other but I don’t like any bossy rules from anywhere so I looked it up.

The excuse is that if Brits vote for a left or right party, for example, today, then the Greeks or Italians (who vote on the weekend ) might be influenced by the British results, which is pretty illogical if you ask me, and insults the intelligence of the Greeks and Italians, as if they can’t think for themselves!
In the USA results on the Atlantic coast are announced while Californians are still voting but nobody thinks that’s a problem.

Kim, that is very useful research. Many thanks.
The more we can let people know the true nature of those in power in Brussels and Strasbourg, the better.
Brok’s record should be much more widely known.
What makes it all the worse is how those MEPs cover up for each other when threatened with exposure to the law.
We must be informed to keep fighting them. Ross is always a good read but he could do with diligent researchers like you.
Please continue your good work and post more comments like this.
