Sectarian Censors – UCLA Echoes Gramedia’s Grovel!

It’s very sad to read that UCLA, one of America’s most famous instiutions of higher education, has taken to censoring books that might offend jihadist bigots.

NB – Were it only immature and largely ignorant ‘students’ who caused the trouble, no surprise.

But in fact the real guilt is the dereliction of duty on the part of the UCLA Administration!

    The author tells us –

“Finally a rep from UCLA did step in–to abet the student protestors. My book was “inflammatory.”

    It had to go.

Thus: at a panel about freedom of speech and growing threats to it – not least from Islamists – UCLA students and school administrators tried to ban a book that highlights the importance of free speech, the persistent failure to confront Islamic totalitarianism, and that movement’s global assaults on free speech.

In any college, anywhere, this would be shameful.

But to add to the level of absurdity of a place of learning banning books, guess in which part of UCLA this occurred?

    The Law School!

What kind of law do they learn, or teach, in there? The same sort that’s in vogue in Tehran?

    A sorry, sordid story.

But then it was very sad here in Jakarta to read – not so very long ago – that Gramedia, one of Indonesia’s most famous publishing companies, did more or less the same thing.

In levels of culpability, of crass betrayal of the basic principles of free expression, I suppose both UCLA and Gramedia are as bad as each other.

But in terms of any lack of shame,  or in terms of indifference to historically embarrassing parallels, I’d have to say Gramedia are by far the worse.

Nowhere in the report from UCLA… …http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/education/319100-ucla-banned-my-book-on-islam-from-a-free-speech-event

… can I find any indication that their censorship took the same form as that used by Hitler’s Nazis…

I admire your persistence how you find all kinds of ways to link the Gramedia book-burning to other religious intolerance around the world.
Do you think anyone in Gramedia management will ever have the integrity to issue an apology?
      Keep it up.

Media Just Can’t Get Past Their Candidate’s Defeat!

Just saw the news on France 24, a bearded twit telling us with po-faced solemnity that there was ‘no evidence‘ to support Trump’s tweeted assertion that the shrill ‘millennial’ brats on the streets were ‘professional protestors incited by the media.’

Does not that Mirk menace earn her living in the agitprop media industry? Obama Out, But BBC? ‘No Change, As Pinko ‘Bitch’ Rants!

Would she not fall easily into the category of professional protestor?

The sheer volume of rabid hatred  – CNN’s Communist Bile Erupts, Before The Count Is Over!  -and bare-faced lies  – America – Supremes OK With ‘White Supremacist Militia?’  – pumped out by the media…

…will probably go on longer than the brats’ truancy, which may be no bad thing – a day off political indoctrination by pinko pedagogues like this thing pictured below..

The Walking Brain-Dead?- Sex-Obsessed Melissa ‘Muscle!’

    The Derangement of North America!

And as to that repulsive mangy anti-American rabble we hear hollering ‘Not My President?
Hasil gambar untuk burning flag not my president
    Flag-burning filth rage against democracy

Given the number we hear whining bitterly that they or their crimmigrant friends or family are at risk now of deportation, at least they’re telling the truth!

Trump is President Elect of the USA.

Self-evidently, therefore, he is NOT the President of mangy mutts with no right whatsoever to be there.

    out with them

‘Students?’ Rabble! Arrest This Australian Loutess!

Is vandalism no longer a crime?

So we read that ‘angry students have stormed and trashed the office of Australian Senator Cory Bernardi, and there’s one of the mangy rabble caught on camera in an act of deliberate vandalism.

She  – one assumes it’s a ‘she’ – needs to be arrested and charged, and if it’s really a student, whichever institution of learning it attends should institute prompt expulsion. Maybe coupled with a suggestion to start looking for a job. Maybe with a carpet-cleaning company, so as to facilitate any community service order imposed for its crime?

Such moronic louts/loutesses do not deserve the opportunities Australia gives them to enjoy an education – they are all (physically if not mentally!) approaching adulthood and whatever education they’ve had so far clearly hasn’t worked.

    • More than 20 students occupied the Grenfell St office from noon and scrawled abusive messages directed at Senator Bernardi on the outside walls and veranda.

They also hung a large banner inside the reception area, where they chanted slogans such as “racist, sexist, anti-queer, Bernardi is not welcome here.”

     Senator Bernardi

The sensible senator was their target because he criticised the nonsense scheme called the ‘Safe Schools’ program. There may be some leftists in Oz who don’t think such indoctrination is nonsense…

    • …but what definitely IS nonsense is the fact that, in a very democratic country where peaceful political protest and free debate is available,  none of these grubby little wannabe storm-troops seems to have ended up behind bars.

Police arrived shortly before 12.30pm and the students then headed outside, accidentally knocking over a section over the property’s picket fence on to the footpath. They made no attempt to pick up or repair the fence.   http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/protesters-trash-cory-bernardis-adelaide-office/news-story

    Accidentally? What do you think?

Even were it genuinely ‘accidental’  damage, common courtesy would dictate they make an effort to pick up or repair the fence.

The absence of even that basic civility indicates that their educationally handicapped condition also includes a total failure ever to have learned basic good manners. Alas, a glance at that loutess’s photo, and those of her gaystapo comrades ( described accurately by their senatorial victim as ‘totalitarian cowards’) which you can see on the link, makes it pretty clear the rabble is ineducable.

    Kick them out of school…

    out with them

…and if they run amok, lock them up, until they learn to be law-abiding citizens.

        Thanks for that.
I’m just heading out for the day, so you caught me in the nick of time.

Oh yes, agreed. I think these ‘students’ have too much time on their hands. When I went to college, there was a paragraph in the admission rules that said we were not allowed to bring the college into disrepute, or something like that. Vandalism must come under that heading, so when will their college admin kick them out and make them take on some honest work.
But then again, they are probably unemployable and would just look for welfare handouts or turn to crime for their livelihood.

All the way with you on this.
Students are meant to study. If they can’t resist protest, they should be polite and respectful, show some gratitude for the opportunities they have got from Australia.
