Their previously enjoyable performance went way downhill last season, so I hope that Rick and Darryl and Michonne and the others show up in better form on the 26th February.

I also hope their reappearance does not mean the end of the great new cop action series, ‘Training Day.’

Unlike the unpleasant creep in the film of the same name, the TV ‘TD’ hero is a dashed fine chap.

I was watching it an hour or two ago, and thus feel compelled to include a mention, as I finish a toasted cheese sandwich and toddle off for an unusually early night.

 

Walking Dead Need A Spring In Their Step!

Two weeks in a row now, The Walking Dead has offered us lack-lustre episodes, a grave (ooops!) disappointment after a good start to the new series.

And it’s not the zombies fault – they’re as splendidly putrescent as ever!.

That hippy twit who calls himself ‘Jesus’ – had The Original been anything like the poor WD replica, those money-changers would still be doing a roaring trade in the Temple! – currently wants to spare the lives of the wicked Negan gang…

…even to the extent of having a fierce fight with the sensible black guy named Morgan.

Last week vast amounts of time were wasted on introspective breaks, navel-gazing, Rick in a dwam (Scots for day-dream!) imagining a bucolic, idyllic future.

He had a fine opportunity to take out significant baddies, Negan and four of his lieutenants, who foolishly stood there on a balcony to shout at the good guys – it could have been a rifle range, but no shots fired for ages.

Who’s dafter, Negan and Co for presenting themselves as sitting ducks, or Rick’s team for not blasting them?

I despair.

At least the reggae style ‘King’ wth his pet tiger is good value, a confident leader.

But I’m not confident WD viewing figures are going to improve if the current pathetic standard doesn’t.

At least we can switch our stay-home evenings to Wednesdays…

…when ‘Luther’ provides exciting stories and action.

Just the headline in Indonesian, so relax.

I know The Walking Dead have plenty of local fans here in Jakarta but I’m sure they don’t need me to celebrate the return of the zombies!

I of course watched the first part of the new series and highly promising it was.

However, many people due to work or, here, Jakarta traffic jams, have to miss the initial show and have to view the repeats the next day, so I’m saying nothing to spoil it for them.

Instead, I’m choosing to go off on a tangent about the female zombies.

Why do they always wear long dresses, or trousers of some sort? Just because you’re dead, no need to be drab, surely?

Never once have I spotted a decaying corpse lurching to and fro in a cute miniskirt, or anything like this one…

Such  a pretty putrescent probably find her hunt for prey much easier than the rotting wretches we see on WD every week!

Zombies! Walking Dead Jakarta? 28th October

I see from repeated ads on tv that there’s an ‘experience’ to be had at Jakarta Convention Center on 28th October.

It’s called ‘Escape Room,’ no more details on the ad, but seems to be some sort of scary interaction with ‘The Walking Dead,’ which, BTW, we shall see again on the 23rd, a 10.30am debut for the new series.

I can see no other info but I’m sure fans of the undead are resourceful enough to find these horrors.

…and it was excellent, real ripping yarn stuff. Counter-Intel fighting terrorists, with plenty of twists and turns, action all the time.

And two episodes together, on a Sunday, when I am almost always home, resting up and chilling out.

Not so gripping was Legion, on a few days back…

We recently repeated the info we got from usually reliable internet sources, that The Walking Dead new series would start here in Indonesia on 12th February.

He not only looked like, but also even sounded like, the evil Negan, WD’s worst villain yet!.

That repulsive, ranting gas-bag at the SAG ceremony was unknown to me.

But I have since learned his name is David Harbour, and that he appears on something called ‘Stranger Things.’

I’ll sure do all in my power to avoid watching it.

Hell, one doesn’t see much stranger things than that platform party he assembled for his poor imitation of Negan!
