I tend to think so, and that ability is all that should matter, in the matter of the job he’s being asked to do for the UK government.
But I turned on the tv tonight (ABC from Oz) and saw not one but two shrews snarling against his proposed appointment, one a hideous, tarty looking thing on Sky News…
.
Sorry, no photo or name, just found a handy personification of the Sky-Shrew’s mind-set, obsessing about abnormality
…
….whining that the ex-PM was not keen on pervert weddings, so he shouldn’t even be considered…
.
.
…and that Scots separatist nag, Sturgeon, as ever resembling an irate fish-wife, girning ( good Scots word, that) because Abbott is a ‘climate-change-denier,’ and good for him if he is, and a ‘misogynist,’ which he patently is not!
But even if he were, so what?
PS the ABC also said that some Tory MPs were against him too – can any reader identify them, so we can examine if they need deselection?
Exceedingly good news from Indonesia’s highest court, which just this week affirmed that the government had acted according to procedure and Hizb ut-Tahrir runs counter to Indonesia’s state ideology.
The sectarian fanatic gang was outlawed in accordance with a presidential decree that gives the government powers to disband groups deemed a threat to national unity..
It would be hard to dispute the threat, given that HTI has as its goal the subjection of sovereign nations to a global caliphate with no pretence of democracy.
‘Charlie Hebdo proves how rotten democracy is!’
HTI hate democracy!
Just like the Communist Party, which has been banned for over fifty years.
Also, like similar Islamist outfits, HTI believes that the backward shariah code must trump Indonesian laws.
This latest ruling puts both Australia and Britain in an odd position, because in the past there has been clear recognition in both countries that their local HT califofascists ought to be prohibited.
We’ve reported on the crassly idiotic aspects of HT leaders in both countries…
=
Demented HT bints tell it like it isn’t – evil HizbutTahrir ignoramus, Sydney primary school teacher Reem Allouche telling the women’s arm of hardline political group Hizb ut-Tahrir that men are permitted to hit women with sticks.
But now that the deplorable mufti has gone, thanks be, maybe Turnsteer can be made to notice that HT in Oz continues to behave badly, its imbecilic shrilling an affront to all decent people.
I was going to let yesterday’s piece on the nasty professor’s planned psy-war witch-hunt…
…against decent parents be my final comment on the Aussie postal ballot on homo weddings, but…

This moronic gaystapoid is named Astro Labe, and he is unrepentant about his attack on Tony Abbott. He is also a foul-mouth, as you’ll see if you read the linked report.
=
=
I’d say an appropriate sentence should be a couple of years. I might have added that, if he were to write a fulsome letter of apology to Mr. Abbott, then perhaps reduce it by a day or two.
But then I read the entire report –
He said he would apologise for his actions when he appeared in court, but his opinions had not changed.
So they don’t really mind when some pro-queer bigot applauds vicious political violence of the sort that Hitler’s henchmen deployed against their opponents?
Well, no.
“The email was unacceptable and the staff member in question, who is a technical operator and not a journalist, has been counselled,” an ABC spokeswoman said.
Bad enough but we expect no better from the Un-Australians who infest the ABC and have done for years.
But WHY has The Daily Telegraph blacked out the identity of this leftist scumbag?
His (or her!) friends, family and neighbours surely have the right to know what kind of anti-social ass they have among them?
Of course that hooligan who attacked Tony Abbott should spend time in prison, but is the ABC extremist really a ‘nazi?’
I agree that ABC is a national embarrassment to Australia but does the act of endorsing behaviour that reminds us of nazis really make their employee a nazi?
Again of course, I agree he should be publicly identified and told to find a new job but I think ‘cultural marxist’ is a better description otherwise you confuse the public about where the threat is coming from.
The Prime Minister suggested on Friday that he had not asked Mr Lewis to phone Mr Hastie. “Look, I haven’t given Duncan Lewis any — I haven’t asked him to do, to make, give any advice to anybody in particular, but I encourage Duncan Lewis to speak to as many people as he can,” Mr Turnbull said.
You don’t hand out somebody’s number to somebody else unless you want, hope, expect that recipient to use it. Otherwise, there’s no point in doing so.
It wold appear Australia now has a PM eager to compete with Britain’s David Cameron in the dishonesty stakes.
It’ll be a hard-fought contest!
But there’s a lot more to this issue.
Australia’s spy chief has told politicians from the ruling conservative party to tone down their criticism of Islam as it could pose a national security risk, according to reports.
How low can these people bend over? Of course in a free country, citizens may criticise religion, any religion, as much as they like.
——–
———-
Otherwise there might as well be a bigot blasphemy law, as indeed has been demanded by savages, like those in the above photo, in Oz and other Western countries.
The report goes on to quote Tony Abbott’s perfectly reasonable assertion that“we can’t remain in denial about the massive problem with Islam….”
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said Thursday she supported Lewis’ reported actions….While Abbott regularly used strong language against the Islamic State group, routinely referring to it as the “death cult,” current leader Malcolm Turnbull, who replaced him in a party coup in September, hastaken a more moderate line.
Of course there are plenty of decent, pro-democracy Muslims, in Australia as here in Indonesia. We have often praised brave Muslims here who stand up to evil extremists like Hizbut Tahrir and the FPI. Bravo, Purwakarta! IslamoNazis Cower Behind Cops – Again!
But nobody denies that HTI and FPI and similar fanatics ARE Muslim.
Lot of good points made in this, my friend, but I like best you calling Turnbull a liar. I wish his own party would have the balls to say the same.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
So it is offensive to a minority – how small a minority?
I’m damned sure there are plenty of decent Muslims who don’t appreciate the way fanatics antagonise their fellow-citizens. From whom, exactly, did the Defence Ministry take the advice that led them to disown that beautiful badge, which seems not to ‘offend’ patriotic Australians.
It turns out Turnbull’s kick in the teeth for patriots follows the appointment of an imam to the Religious Advisory Committee to the Services in June, an appointment endorsed by…
Wait for it! The Grand Mufti of Australia! And he’s not Australian at all, but Egyptian. He should have no say in approving or disapproving anything to do with Australia.
The latest nonsense crawlery from Oz is a perfect example of grovelling obeisance to people who knew, or should have known, for sure, when they chose to live in Australia, that the Commonwealth had and still has a fine martial tradition.
—————
Anyone can join up and serve, regardless of creed or colour. Oz is majority Christian, so the threatened badge recognises that, but Jewish chaplains don’t have to wear it. They, so far as I know, have their own.
Why not give Muslim chaplains their own cap badge too, so each faith has their own insignia?

Bernard Gaynor
00000000000000000000000
I doubt Tony Abbott would have put up with this PC cr%p.
It’s hard to disagree with former army major Bernard Gaynor, Australian Liberty Alliance candidate, when he asserts that the grovel move is a prime example of ‘political correctness destroying our military heritage!”
And speaking of that very-much-less-than-grand ‘Mufti,’
—————
——————
The Mangy Mufti should be taken to the nearest airport with his passport and tooth-brush and his pretentious sectarian title and booted out of Australia.
Well, he certainly has some personal insights into terrorism. He was standing side-by-side with a Hamas fanatic in Gaza when he declared –
“I am pleased to stand on the land of jihad to learn from its sons.”
—————
————————-
The old swine also objected when Tony Abbott wanted “advocating terrorism” to be banned by law – on that occasion the MM obligingly gave us a brief glimpse into what goes on among the enemy within.
He said that such a reform risked snaring any ‘clerics’ who “advocated the duty of a Muslim to defend his land.”
Uuuuh…
0
Is this where the Mangy Mufti’s loyalties linger?
0
What duty, and what land?
Decent people have surely heard enough traitorous cr#p from his sort, ratbags whose duty to Queen and Country goes up in smoke if there’s a quarrel with foreign powers populated by those that share their creed.
Treason-talk like that fertilises Islamophobia around the world. The cur’s comments on foreign policy and military intervention would not be out of place at a conclave of the hate-gang Hizbut Tahrir.
Oh, yeah, Mufti Mangy reckons those caliphofascists are ‘actually in favour of free speech.’

Hizbut, here in Indonesia -‘erase Israel from the world map’

Yeah, right.
HT worldwide have made it crystal-clear they DETEST democracy.
Abbot should have deported the lot, including MM..
Turnbull?
Not a chance. I haven’t heard Mealy-Mouth Malcolm (MMM, not to be confused with the above MM!) even use the correct term – death-cult – for ISIS.
If he has, please tell me. I’m more than ready to amend my statement.
But more and more Australians are learning the nature of the beast. Mangy Mufti-style disloyalty should be an automatic one-way ticket out of Australia – and every civilised nation.

And not one single aspect of the national heritage should be discarded to placate people who put sectarian solidarity before their proper allegiance to Australia.
The Australian PM’s call to his nation to celebrate their Irish heritage caused an outcry, largely for the numerous references he made to the colour green, drinking Guinness and singing.
Even if you have never heard the song about The Wearing of the Green, you’ll have seen international footballers wearing that colour. While Irish whiskey is very well known, Guinness is at least as famous, a product of their Dublin brewery.
And singing?
Is that now some shameful activity? Why would any country resent mention of singing as one of their characteristics?
So how come Tony Abbott gets it in the neck for talking about those three things on St. Patrick’s Day?
You’d think Burnside QC would be at the forefront of the endeavour to defend his country from an influx of parasitic crimmigrants. Or if he likes them so much, to make room for a bunch of them under his own opulent roof!
Yet he’s so enraged against his own people that he wants their elected leaders dragged before a kangaroo court simply for doing their best to carry out the patriotic policy for which they have overwhelming public support.
“I’m working on a plan to persuade the ICC to investigate the things that we are concerned about. I think the fact that an investigation was happening would have a real, chilling effect on their conduct.
His own legalice eloquence is insufficient to persuade his fellow-citizens to stab themselves in the back and open the floodgates to undesirable aliens.
So unable to win the democratic debate, he wants to use an alien court to unleash a real chilling effect on those daring to implement the democratic decision?
And he’s not even original, with his ‘plan!’
It was floated a year or more ago by a self-confessed marxist agitator, Max Lane, a name perhaps familiar to older Indonesian readers as an avid enthusiast for the Red cause.
Lane was given lavish space by theJakarta Post (no surprise) not only to regurgitate the smear campaign orchestrated by the ABC slime against the Royal Australian Navy…
…but to compare the Coalition Government’s defence of Australia against the queue-jumpers with Indonesia’s Orde Baru.
As we noted before, Red Max worked for the Australian Embassy inJakarta, drawing his salary from the pockets of Oz tax-payers – until he was ordered out, NOT by the Soeharto regime, but by his own superiors!

We also noted his long unpleasant record of overtly marxist agitation.

Comrades, the basic proposal of this report is that the DSP substantially increase its efforts in the area of solidarity with the Indonesian revolution…http://www.dsp.org.au/node/120
Just as I feared, the shrilling from Australia over the execution of two convicted drug-smugglers has provoked a reaction.
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Tejo Edhy Purdijatno said on Monday that Indonesia has been deterring illegal immigrants from other countries en route to Australia.
“There are now over 10,000 such people in Indonesia,” he said. If they are allowed to head for Australia, that would surely be like a human tsunami.”
===========================
This is turning into a disaster for Abbott, who had every opportunity to mend fences after President SBY left office.
—————–
——————–
Jokowi has shown himself to be no simpering liberal and could have become a useful partner in the war to block the bludger boats.
Instead, the hullabaloo over that pair of crims in Bali has spread from its pinko base to include the entire Australian political establishment, despite clear evidence that million of ordinary Aussies don’t give a monkey’s on the issue.
I never have any hesitation in criticising either government.
Abbott can be faulted because he’s reneged on his pledges on restoration of free speech.
I’d also call on Jokowi to show he’s as keen on crushing terrorism as he is on quelling drug crime. He should have the Islamist swine behind the Cikeusik Pogrom arrested, tried and executed for murder.

I personally am all in favour of capital punishment for treason, terror and some other heinous crimes. I’m not convinced it’s appropriate for drug-smuggling – though the great majority of Indonesians are convinced.
This is Indonesia; what they say, goes!
But for this gulf of ill-feeling to open and widen daily is a tragedy. And a needless tragedy too, all the more painful for those of us who have nothing but affection for both countries.
…Abbott’s foolish bout of subservience to the pinko shrills in Oz has given Australia’s enemies here an opening. And bigots and blowhards alike are making the most of it.
Let’s start with the blow-hards, in the form of Big-Mouth Hikmahanto Juwana, the arrogant academic for whom a day without his name in the papers must be an endless hell.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo
“Tony Abbott panics and installs his drunken god stance in addressing this execution,” said Hikmahanto.
Not quite sure what that means, but it’s pretty crude abuse. Not what one might hear in a Cambridge Senior Common Room, but the professor’s not known for measured responses.
Twas he who, when Oz was quite properly returning boat-loads of alien parasites who’d used Indonesia as a launching pad for their bludgery incursions, brazenly urged that further crimmigrant cargos be unleashed against Australians.
Unfortunately, whilst normally Indonesians pay no heed to such ivory tower babbling, Abbott’s stupid tsunami comments made it almost inevitable that Hikmahanto would for once find an echo beyond his little circle of lapdog journos.
————-
And almost simultaneously, we read reports of more anti-Oz gibbering from an even less-balanced source, the IslamoNazi FPI, self-styled ‘Defenders of Islam,’ in the equally familiar form of Idrus, their Gauleiter in Depok, West Java.
Now I am asking all you RRA readers in Australia not to hit the roof at once.
Both these men wallow in any opportunity to sound their own trumpets. They are not and never have been friends to Australia. Hikmahanto is xenophobic to the core…
Of course people here are riled up by the inexplicable fuss heard from across the sea. They wonder if Australians really get their knickers in a twist just because a couple of crims are getting their due punishment.
But provocative drivel is not a wise way to run a relationship.
Sympathy tonight for Cassandra. The Trojan prophetess who always told the truth of what was to come, yet was doomed by Apollo’s spite never to be believed.
How many times have we here at RRA (and many’s another good conservative blogger) pointed out the folly of admitting ‘asylum’-seekers whose bona fides, and thus their motives, were not so much in doubt as laughable.
=
=
The ABC swallows every lie they tell, as we saw from their Jakarta jerk’s reportage of the slanders on the Royal Australian Navy.
But those charged with determining who was allowed into Oz? It’s been a sad joke for years.
Point out that truth and you get pot-shots from Un-Australian ratbags determined to open wide the doors to undesirable aliens.
But now even Prime Minister Tony Abbott has woken up!

“It’s clear to me, that for too long, we have given those who might be a threat to our country the benefit of the doubt,” Mr Abbott said in a statement broadcast on Sunday via his official YouTube channel.
“There’s been the benefit of the doubt at our borders, the benefit of the doubt for residency, the benefit of the doubt for citizenship and the benefit of the doubt at Centrelink. And in the courts, there has been bail, when clearly there should have been jail.”https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/26297287/crackdown-on-borders-amid-terror-threat/
