Jakarta's 'Inter-Faith' Envoy Amin Abdullah Best Avoid Turks!

Much to contemplate about the news here in Jakarta, that, among the ‘interfaith leaders set to visit several countries across Europe and the United States to introduce values of tolerance among Islamic religious followers in the country…’

    Professor Amin Abdullah

…is an Islamic scholar named Amin Abdullah.

Not too familiar with Amin’s record, I looked it up and I have to admit, he seems to be impressively tolerant.

But that sentence quoted above is somewhat confusing. Are Amin and his fellow-envoys really going abroad to introduce values of tolerance among Islamic religious followers in the country- Indonesia?

Surely the place to achieve that objective is right here at home?

Certainly, there’s much to be done in this sunny archipelago, where there are millions of decent Indonesians who ARE tolerant, but a significant number too who are viciously intolerant of any other mode of worship.

I’m not talking about loathesome ignoramuses like those we have seen in in West Java.

Cops – “Islamist ‘Scholars’ Can Veto Religious Liberty”

The official recognised body of self-styled ‘scholars,’ the MUI, is infamous for its intolerance.

The climate of intolerance has intensified since I came here in the late 1990s, to the extent that the Christian Governor of Jakarta is currently on trial for the Dark Age ‘crime’ of ‘blasphemy.’

Ain’t Just Ahok – More Indonesian Dissenters Behind Bars!

But this Jakarta Post report needs more than one morning’s comment to do it justice.

What concerns me today is the safety of Pak Amin Abdullah if he goes to Europe next week as planned.

The JP tells us that France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the US are among countries they will visit.

As we know, or should have learned  from reading the news last week, Germany and The Netherlands are infested with fanatic Turks, fans of the arrogant Islamist Erdogan.

His fans are as much enemies of tolerance as he is.

They are violent ingrates who showed by their disgraceful behaviour that they do not belong in the civilised democratic societies which have afforded them opportunities to better themselves.

Nor of course does Erdolf belong to Europe, neither the Europe of traditional values that we favour, nor the left-liberal Europe which the Brussels Euro-Commissars are intent on imposing.

So Prof. Amin needs to beware!

Because Erdogan’s secret police, and their huge network of agents all across these European countries…  –German investigation into Turkey’s religious officials collecting information on its enemies may be the tip of the iceberg. Turkish imam spy affair in Germany extends across Europe-…may well be extremely nasty but they are simultaneously extremely diligent.

    They do their research!

And if I can learn within five minutes of researching Professor Amin Abdullah that he has sung the praises of Fethullah Gulen, so can the Erdogestapo.

Gulen is the bete noire of the sectarian regime in Ankara, where the wannabe caliph views the exile as his arch-enemy.

Since the failed kudeta last year, which Erdogan claims to believe was Gulen’s work, myrmidons of the Turkish state have been persecuting, prosecuting and jailing real or alleged Gulen fans…

…and a reign of terror unleashed against then in Europe.   ‘Sleepless nights’ for Gülen’s supporters in Europe

Hence my concern for Pak Amin’s safety. Anyone who writes as he has written-

One reason for the success of the Gülen movement in many countries is the universal nature of Gülen‘s vision, his nonviolence and tolerant approach during a time of fear of religious extremism…Gülen bases his dialogue not entirely on the ground of faith, but on love. His social philosophy revolves around the idea of serving humanity, and institutes should service this purpose….

Well, let’s just say you’d better watch your back over there, sir.

Europe ain’t what it used to be!

I was surprised that the government here would think to do this, send people flying around talking about tolerance with Ahok on trial because he upset Habib Rizieq and the MUI.
But nothing much really surprises anymore.

Solidarity With REAL Asylum Seekers! Sod Off, Erdolf!

Just up, third black coffee (yes, it was a good little party!) and now I’ve got the news on.

And what do I hear but tidings from Greece, where a group of ‘asylum-seekers’ are to go before a court today, where a ruling will be issued on whether they’ll be sent back to Turkey.

    Turkish officers seeking asylum

And here’s me thinking that there might have been some truth in the endless reports – a process that could take up to a year for many of the applicants, according to sources Greek asylum service starts process of recording applications  – of how hard it was, how much time it takes, to handle the endless claims made by the horde of ‘refugees’ on Aegean islands…

…as to whether their tales were anything other than feeble fabrications designed to speed them on their way to the glorious welfare troughs of Germany, Sweden or Britain!

It will, in contrast, decide the fate of just eight genuine refugees, Turkish officers…

…who face return to a regime making itself daily more infamous for Stalin-style purges of anyone who dares take a dim view of Erdogan’s authoritarian Islamist state.

If the eight officers’ asylum claim is rejected, Athens officials say Greece is considering a simple deportation for illegal entry, rather than going through a formal extradition procedure, which is more complicated and time-consuming.

Turkish Officers Put Greece in Difficult Spot With Asylum Request

Clearly, these men should be given asylum.
If they are not, then Red Tsipras stands exposed as the cultural marxist hypocrite he is…
     Red Tsipras
….UNLESS he also includes the alien rabble guzzling largesse across his country in a programme of simple deportation for illegal entry, rather than going through a formal extradition procedure,

Guilty! Brexit IS The Major Cause of Global Warming!

If you believe that, you’d believe anything.

….it looks like this year there’s already a run-away winner!

The notion that those Turkish officers were in any way influenced by Brexit, when it’s as clear as day that they simply feared for the future of a country increasingly crushed beneath Erdogan’s Islamist jackboot…
As Victor Meldrew would have said, ‘I don’t believe it’ –  that even a loopy leftist like Chris Bryant could seriously come out with hogwash like that.
