UK Tax-Funded Climate Talk-Shop? Will BOTH Sides Be Heard?

    Anything to avoid proper democracy.

Ministers accused of ‘sham’ consultation over gay marriage – Telegraph

Cameron did it with homo-weddings, Macron’s been doing it with special rules to exclude any view he dislikes..

Muppet Macron’s Mock-Consultation -“We’ll Only Talk About What WE Value!”

..and now Westminster’s wallies are fooling around with a ‘consultative assembly…’

….to tackle climate change, with 30,000 invitation letters landing on people’s doorsteps from 6 November.

    Wow!

Thirty thousand out of 30 million voters!

And that’s how parliament plans to get a diverse collection of people together to hear from experts and those with lived experience of the topic being discussed?

    Aaah!

    Diverse?

    Experts?

Will diversity fall at the first hurdle, with only ‘experts’ from one side of the debate getting into the assembly to let the ‘consultees’ hear pro and con opinions?

We need to ask, because there are already attempts all over the world to shut down debate on climate.

Only on the weekend I tuned into the Australian channel ( ABC, so not expecting much!) and there was that dork Peter Fitzsimons…

…the left fanatic who thinks it’s cute to go about dressed up as a pirate.

Amazingly, he had changed into a tux, and was addressing a bunch of hacks, ranting that there was only one side of the climate debate, the one he agreed with.

His bigotry is alas not unique.

Actually, that figure I mentioned earlier, the thirty thousand lucky Brits?

That will fast be winnowed down to just over a hundred!

The assembly will run over four weekends between late January and the middle of March next year in Birmingham. A representative sample of those that respond to the invitation will be selected, with 110 people set to take part.

And if more than 110 concerned citizens indicate a desire to participate?

Will the Westminster Wallies draw names from a hat?

What a wondrous thing consultation is!

Brits – Last Chance To Make Your Voice Heard!

    A final reminder!

    DONATE

GOOD NEWS AS OPPOSITION TO TRANSGENDER PROPOSALS MOUNTS

The Government is facing increasingly vocal opposition to its harmful plans to change the 2004 Gender Recognition Act in England and Wales.

Over the weekend, almost 200 academics and artists penned an open letter (scroll to ‘Let a woman speak’) objecting to the way women’s concerns about the plans are being silenced. Signatories include feminists as well as trans people, united in their dismay at this intolerance:

We believe the right to discuss proposed changes to the law is fundamental in a democratic society. Public authorities, academic institutions, unions and NGOs should be facilitating discussions and protecting the rights of people to take part in them without harassment or intimidation. We find it troubling that institutions have not condemned these actions and in some cases have expressed support for them.

Meanwhile, a ComRes poll of MPs found that 59% are worried by the increase in children saying they’re transgender. But 54% felt they couldn’t speak freely on trans issues for fear of being accused of transphobia.

These developments come just two weeks after prominent LGBT activists were among those criticising Stonewall, the leading LGBT rights group, for shutting down debate.

All this good news means there is widespread scepticism about the Government’s proposals. If we add our voices to the chorus of dissent, there’s every chance the worst aspects can be stopped.

The consultation closes on Friday (19th) at 23.00. You can respond here, using our guide here.

Brits! Fight The Gaystapo! Make Your Voice Heard!

An important opportunity for decent people in the UK to show what they think of the gaystapo – or should we say the Maystapo.

YOU can lodge objections to the disgraceful scheme to turn schools into indoctrination centres.

    Please read on…

    =========

RESPOND TO CONSULTATION: OPPOSE A SAME-SEX MARRIAGE TEST FOR TEACHERS

Draft Government guidance will see schools in England assessed on their support for same-sex marriage.

This will greatly strengthen Ofsted’s hand in policing political correctness. Initially this guidance will apply to independent schools, but the approach will inevitably be extended to all schools.

This is the greatest threat we have faced since same-sex marriage was legalised. It is vital that it is faced down and defeated.

Please respond to the consultation today. You do not have to provide any personal information if you do not want to. The key question to respond to is question 7, which is on page 3 of the online response form.

The consultation closes on 5 June.

Our short guide to responding to the consultation is below. There is more background detail in our new briefing.

You can also read the key piece of the draft guidance, paragraph 20, here.

    RESPOND TODAY

    • You can respond online.
    • Question 7 is the key one to respond to: “If you have comments on the advice in relation to the Quality of Education standard (Part 1), please insert them here”
    • Some suggested comments for question 7 are below. You may wish to use one or two of these comments.
    • Specify that your comments relate to paragraph 20 of the draft guidance.
    • If you feel able to respond to other questions, please do so.
    • Your response will be far more effective if you use your own words.

          Suggested comments:

    • Say that the Department for Education is acting as if Parliament has outlawed belief in traditional marriage.
    • Say that the draft guidance breaks promises made by Government ministers that teachers who disagree with same-sex marriage will be respected.
    • Say that teachers will be gagged. Even teachers who give views for and against could fall foul of this approach.
    • Say that the draft guidance is deeply offensive. It implies that disagreeing with same-sex marriage is like being racist.
    • Say that this guidance will further encourage Ofsted to ask intrusive questions of schoolchildren, as has already happened in Jewish and Christian schools.
    • Say that in a democratic society people should be free to disagree.
    • Say that same-sex marriage is a political issue that schools should treat in a balanced manner.

    GUIDE TO THE CONSULTATION

    • The consultation closes on Tuesday 5 June, at 11.45pm.

Brits – Just Three Weeks To Speak Up For Decency!

Time to fight back against decadence.

A GUIDE TO THE CALL FOR EVIDENCE

Today we launch our guide on responding to the call for evidence on Relationships and Sex Education and PSHE in England.

The guide summarises why the call for evidence is important and how to respond, and provides some points you may wish to consider in your answers.

    DOWNLOAD THE GUIDE

    You can help protect children

Please share the link with parents and other interested parties. It is vital that many people speak up to protect the teaching of marriage, the role of parents and the innocence of young children.

In particular, we believe that parents should have the right to withdraw primary school age children from Relationships Education classes.

We also believe they should be consulted on the materials to be used by the school, or at the very least have the right to review them before lessons begin.

Equally importantly, marriage should be taught in secondary schools as the ‘gold-standard’ for adult relationships, not simply one option amongst many.

The deadline for responses to the consultation is Monday 12th February. Please do respond.
