Ghastly Horde Marches On! WD 16/4/18
No, I’m not talking about the crimmigrants still swarming into Europe, which I reported on earlier today…

…but about the ‘series finale’ of ‘The Walking Dead!’
It’s on twice today, and, unusually, with a visitor due late arvo, I chose to watch the morning show.

So if you are somewhere in some time-zone awaiting the delightful denouement, best postpone reading further down my page.
WD got off to a stumbling start this season, too much introspective pfaffing about (who wants to watch a zombie horror programme that includes endless soul-searching?) but livened up!
Last week we got to see the incredibly wicked Simon get his come-uppance…

So unpleasant that even the evil arch-villain, Negan, had had enough. Simon ended up zombified himself.
This week, as befits a series end, WD leaves many question-marks dangling, but it was nice to see how Turn-Coat Eugene turned out.

I’d considered dubbing him Ephialtes, but that would risk confusing regular readers of my political output.

Ephialtes Enthroned – Another Enemy Running The UN! )
Ephialtes, after all, is the name I have bestown on the UN’s Gutierrez, a frequent target, and Eugene, for all his faults, has to be a better human being.
I shall now keep Turn-Coat reserved for that renegade Pole Donald Tusk, who features less often!

Reassuring that Rosita, who, along with Daryl, is probably one of my favourite characters, survived the near-Armageddonic conflict.
I can watch her voice for hours…

You blended your favorite themes well, Ross, and this was an appetizing post.
You see, I have to wait till tonight to watch! But you did a good job of tantalizing without giving anything away..

I must hurry home after work to see this final zombi show, Ross, but this makes me even more keen to hurry. Once I was nervous to watch zombi films but now I enjoy it.
It is very educational to read your blog, about Europe and about Ephlltes and other people from the old times.
Very funny what happens to horrible Simon.

I like this zombi drama. I wish they would not make such long break between the series.
Many other series do not do this, and it is possible I think to make a new chapter every week, with maybe two weeks free for the actors if they need so much free time.
