    X Files – A Must for Tonight!

Hasil gambar untuk x files new

    ——-

Mondays are when I can almost always be found at home, these days.

Last year it was The Walking Dead who kept me indoors, those splendidly awful zombies and the gallant band who fought them.’

This year, it’s going to be the return of The X Files, due to start tonight, and I watched the intro last night – very promising.

But what will happen when the zoms come back from their winter holiday?

    =============================

    ———————————-

That’s apparently scheduled for 15th February. I’m just not going to contemplate that dilemma until it confronts me!

Watching the news from Europe, that’s stressful enough!

A Civilised Society That Won’t Fight Back Will Die!

It’s Monday night again, so I am of course at home, because it’s the weekly night of The Walking Dead.

    But amazingly…

    =

    walking-dead-season-1

    • …almost no zombies involved this week!
    • ———————————————————-

Since the current news from The Real World drives me to distraction more often than not, I treasure diversions like TWD.

    It’s good value.

With la creme de la creme, Rick, Daryl and Michonne far away, handling a horde of dangerous lurching deddos, a different kind of threat materialises back at HQ, where good people have created a civilised community.

But suddenly they are faced by invaders – not zombies but half-wild humans, their only clear intent mayhem and/or pillage.

    • ……………………………….
    • Hell, I might as well have watched the news from Central Europe, or Calais!

    ……………………………………

    • ………………..
    • Since The Walking Dead has been running since before the current ‘migrant’ nightmare, I suppose we might conclude that what we are witnessing in Europe is life imitating art…
    • EXCEPT…………on our tv screens, the barbarous malevolents were routed!
    • The people faced with being over-run fought back and drove them out.

The civilised people’s leader was a middle-aged lady, no good with weaponry but with the grit and sense to authorise those prepared for resistance to fight back.

Can’t imagine Mama Stasi Merkel doing that, can you? Or Cameron or Liar Juncker!

But here and there, we see signs of hope.

And even in the heart of darkness, in Mama Stasi Land,  a German police union chief has called for a fence to be built along the country’s border to stem the flow of migrants. Rainer Wendt told the “Welt am Sonntag” newspaper that other countries would then follow suit.

    This cop talks true sense.

“If we close our borders in this way, Austria will also close the border with Slovenia. That’s exactly the effect we need.”

     So there IS hope.

    oooooo

     Kaczynski

    ooooooooo

Elections due in Poland very soon look like replacing a sell-out ‘centrist’ with the patriot Kaczynski.

Austrian and Swiss patriot parties are getting 30 plus per cent in recent votes.

    Germans, French, Poles, Swiss, Austrians?

Adding their voices, votes, to the Hungarian, Slovak, Czech stand for sanity!

When’s Britannia going to wake up?

A Question of Road Safety – Walking Dead Or Migrant Menace!?!

I watched the new season of The Walking Dead last night, as promised, and it was excellent, HORDES of horrid zombies on the march, with the good guys (and gals – that sexy black chick with the samurai sword, Michonne, is a wow!) fully engaged in derring-do against them.

    ====================

But in searching for a suitable review, I learned that the show has turned into a political issue of sorts, with us conservatives being fans and muesli-guzzling pinko gits from the left-lib elite expressing fear and loathing of its content.

    How weird!

Who could dislike brave Michonne, or Darryl, with his Harley Davidson and cross-bow?

    ===================

    • Quite a few, it seems.

For my part, I just enjoy the action, and like to use scenes from it to illustrate blog-posts.

Mind you, it does evoke the menace facing Europe, all those unpleasant creatures marching north, threatening civilisation.

Rick’s survivors in Virginia have been building a wall to keep the undesirables out – maybe they could deploy their skills in the Balkans, or Calais?

    Enough already!

The meat I hauled home from Oz will soon be past its sell-by date, so best resume my own flesh-eating activities!

    ===================

    • PS – why miss an opportunity to include a photo of Rosita, the yummy Hispanic character, though in the WD she does NOT dress like this!

Jakarta Horror Day! Nightmare Rain Plus Zombies!

    Heck, it’s 9.30am now!

I’ve just surfaced, and it’s STILL raining! No nice visitors today!

    rainy day special

It has been all night, since well before I turned in almost seven hours ago. I was set to do so at 1.30am but I had a final channel surf and found The X Files on O Channel, switched cruelly from its previous 10pm slot.

So there I was till after 2 o’clock.

At least the cat was happy.

    ibicomputer

I let her in for a much appreciated hour’s respite from the increasingly soggy outdoors!

The noise of the torrential downpour kept me from sleep for ages  – days like this, one values the absence of that Monday-morning ordeal, no ‘off-to-work,’ no crack of dawn alarm to torment me.

But I feel desperately sorry, not so much for those who face today’s Jakarta traffic, always awful, Monday mornings more so, but in this deluge?

    NIGHTMARE!

    floodjokowi-baru-bisa-beri-sembako-belum-punya-solusi-banjir

And more sorry still for the poor people in places like Kampung Melayu in East Jakarta, and in Kedoya Green Garden in West Jakarta, and no doubt in Pluit and Kelapa Gading and Grogol too. Homes inundated, furniture ruined, and their very lives at risk if it worsens.

All I have to worry about (touch wood) is how I can reach the nearest mini-mart to replenish my cigarette supply!

    —–

Anyway, I did say last night I’d not be doing a lot of blogging this day. That was due to my planned evening zombie-tryst, the new series of The Walking Dead. I flicked though You Tube yesterday to see if they had any of the first series, which pre-dated my acquisition of cable, and was gratified to find they had.

So now I understand a little more of the characters’ backgrounds.

    walkingdrick Rick with Co-Stars!

But the ad for the new series has Rick, the leader of the good guys, speaking in his off-stage accent. His real name is Andrew Lincoln – there’s an article about him, and the show, in People  http://www.people.com/article/the-walking-dead-andrew-lincoln-rick-timestalks-video –

But what’s with such a serious take – Lincoln’s perspective on Rick’s “morally ambiguous” decisions – it’s a horror show, for pity’s sake!

His real accent is not at all the Southern twang one has become used to, from all the cast – the show is filmed in Georgia!

It’s an accent I like to hear – I’ve always liked the South, where I once spent some fine times; took a trip down there, after my participation in the NYC Marathon.

Don’t reckon I’ll go out running today!

Time for another cuppa Java. Then maybe one more, and more controversial, post, before I go into full hibernation mode…

        Yo, Vojo.
Your final exhortation may be hard to obey – the rain-water on my flooded street outside is now lapping at my garden gate!

The Dead Will Walk Again – Within Two Weeks!

Monday nights have been lack-lustre since before the Festive Season, though the hours of daylight as likely as any other day to produce some visitor to brighten things up.

-European Commission After Hearing Greek Election Results?

    ====

But nocturnal delight is due to resume in just under two weeks time, with a new season of The Walking Dead!

Until I took the plunge and got cable tv I had never heard of this horror serial drama. But now I can’t wait.

Anyone who enjoys a gripping tale of eerie activity should tune in. It appears to be immensely popular, with rather comical mass zombie eruptions in Singapore (or was it Hong Kong?) getting hearty applause from spectators! So if a mix of horror and humour is well received…

    walking-dead-05

Poor girl met two English teachers in D’s Place last night – now she’s stuck with them!

But catering to impatient zombie-addicts who need an eldritch fix to keep them going, trailer clips are available on a media currently abuzz with speculation on what’s going to happen in the new TWD season. And now the re-runs have begun, giving me a chance to see early episodes I missed out on.

Rick’s group will still head towards D.C. to see what has become of the nation’s capital.http://www.vcpost.com/articles/37907/20150120/the-walking-dead-season-5-new-goal-official-teaser-reveals-some-casts-exit.htm

    Much excitement ahead, then!

And in view of the real world news, these ‘walkers,’ and the even more frightful ‘rotters’ (the zoms so far gone they get stuck to tarmac and can’t get up to chase you!) often provide light relief.

Un-American Kaplan V Christian Klingenschmitt- Judge Rules Out Jesus!

I was watching one of those American crime series last night, usually well-made with a good story-line. At the end, the pretty blonde prosecutor, whose good looks alas went with silly liberal notions all too often, was fired by her sage superior.

    Fair enough.

But then she gob-smacked viewers everywhere with a question – ‘It’s not because I’m s lesbian, is it?’

It wasn’t, and she was told so. But why inject this ‘gay’ drivel into an otherwise perfectly good script?

Worse news still, or at least a close call – Daryl, one of the best characters in The Walking Dead, that great zombie series, was very nearly ‘outed’ as a poofter!

    =

Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus)

    =

The idiots behind the show apparently felt the need to implant a queer into the cast, and he was tipped as the victim of this subversive design.Walking Dead‘ Creator Clarifies Daryl Dixon’s Sexuality ABC News

Happily, Daryl has been spared the ignominy, but the damfools aim to introduce some other ‘gay’ character. Maybe a pack of mincing corpses clad in pink velvet jump-suits will be on our screens next year!

    oooooooooooo

    0000000000

However, enough of showbiz – the reason I mentioned that cute blonde was because she does not correspond to what one expects, if the word ‘lesbian’ is spoken.

Here, on the other hand, is a lesbian who does!

    000000000000000000000

    Judge Elaine Kaplan

    ,oooooooo

An openly lesbian federal judge whose appointment was opposed by dozens of U.S. senators has ruled against a Christian former Navy chaplain who alleged his superiors engineered his dismissal from the service because he was not “ecumenical.”

    ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    • obama-vampire-275x300 And guess who appointed this old besom?

    ========-

The decision by Elaine Kaplan of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims rejected the allegations of former chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt, who …had routinely prayed “in Jesus name” as part of his work as a chaplain… http://www.wnd.com/2014/12/lesbian-judge-takes-on-jesus-in-court/#wuQkiseh15rB8UFh.99

Klingenschmitt will hopefully appeal, and who knows but he might find himself before an American judge, as opposed to an Un-American.

    ooo

    oooo

Meanwhile, he can take consolation from his recent success in Colorado, where he won election to the state legislature. As usual, American VOTERS understand their constitutional heritage better than the Obamanoid running-dog judiciary.
