Skol! Danes Plan Ban On Shariah Shrouding!
Less than a quarter of Danes oppose a ban on the burqa and niqab, according to a new survey.
That’s shocking. One-fifth of the populace unwilling to impose such a common-sense prohibition on such a primitive practice?
What on earth is wrong with those people?
Surely sane citizens in every civilised country want to see this sexist degradation, whereby women shroud their heads while men do not, stamped out.
Most Danes are sane, however.

A majority of the population support banning the two types of Islamic veil in public, according to an opinion poll carried out by Epinion on behalf of broadcaster DR.

The key question is, will the government, the elected representatives of the Danish people, ACT to implement the 62 percent who support a full ban on wearing the burqa and niqab in public?
The patriot party, the Danish People’s Party (DF) plans to renew moves to get head-shrouding outlawed.
But they need votes from other parties, which is by no means guaranteed, although, surprisingly, the Social Democrats may do the right thing.
Their Mattias Tesfaye made encouraging noises on the subject. “I am provoked myself when I see a woman in a burqa. Not so much by the woman, but by what it stands for. I actually perceive it as a form of prison.

Yet Tesfaye went on to admit that his party “had not clarified its position in regard to whether it supports a general ban…”
But now we read that ALL the likely partners in the new government coalition have listened to the people. “Everyone agrees that the burqa is an expression of extreme oppression of women..”

You must be joking, Ross!
Theresa May will never show the same sense as the Danes or Austrians or French have.
She has no interest in keeping Britain British. She said so, when she gave her thumbs-up to sharia,

Maybe however I should say making Britain British again. It’s not the Britain I was born in
If my grandfather came back from the grave he would not recognise the country.
As a Yorkshireman he would die all over again if he saw what has happened to Bradford.

What is wrong with the British?
Not one of the parties in Westminster supports a ban on burkas but most British people do want a ban on burkas.
These other countries can do the right thing and ban it.
British democracy is not working.
