I’m a Catholic but unlike what a lot of people think, we don’t have to take everything this pope or any pope says as infallible.
I read what that Hungarian Catholic bishop said about these migrants and he’s out there on the frontline facing the invasion. Don’t blame all us Catholics for Francis’ folly.

Note well that he spoke his words when getting a prize from the European Union. He’s working with them to do what they are planning, the destruction of the West as distinctive national identities. You have shown their agenda to us before now, Timmermans and Moghieri and the others in Brussels, who hate the very idea of a Europe of Nations.

Yes, people who wish to migrate and apply properly and join the queue are obviously not criminals for doing so.
Those who don’t fall into that category are illegals, and people guilty of illegal activity are criminals -except perhaps in Italy, where Renzi has decriminalised illegal immigration.
I’d need an Italian reader to advise if Renzi’s move was retrospective – if not, the illegals who arrived before the change are still subject to criminal proceedings, presumably. ,
