SOB Goodell Reckons Brazen Disloyalty Isn’t ‘Divisive?’

….till my weekend visitor arrived, then we relaxed indoors – most Indonesians don’t share my taste for tanning.

But in between local tv sinetrons ( soaps) I did manage to get an occasional look at the news, and, like the ranks of Tuscany in Lord Macaulay’s Horatian ode, could ‘scarce forbear to cheer…‘

…when I watched The Donald denounce those disgusting disloyals who kneel rather than stand proudly to attention when the Star-Spangled Banner is played.

I’m sure most Americans, or rather ALL decent Americans, despise the scumbags.

Yet to hear their President call the traitor swine out as ‘Sons of Bitches’ must have gladdened many hearts across the USA.

One of the reasons Trump won is surely his ability to talk like real people talk, not in mealy-mouthed platitudes and cliches as do so many in the political class of all Western countries.

Yet while millions must have cheered, a slimy SOB named Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the National Football League, attacked the President’s wise words, in terms which make one think Goodell has a poor grasp of the English language.

What other conclusion may we draw from Ranting Robert’s assertion that Trump’s comments were “divisive” and show an “unfortunate lack of respect.”

What could possibly be MORE DIVISIVE than a crass refusal to join every patriot in the stadium, on one’s feet, in proper homage to one’s country?

And is that klutz Goodell so morally myopic that he cannot see that those who have a problem definable in terms of an “unfortunate lack of respect” are precisely the sort of Un-American A-Holes exemplified by that trio of toe-rags pictured above.

Donald Trump is absolutely right to call on NFL owners to fire players who kneel during “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Bad Goodell is absolutely wrong to talk about how “the NFL and our players …help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture” with their shameful displays of disloyalty.

But it’s the American people – or at least the football fans there – who need to man up and put sell-outs like Goodell in their place.

Next time some sleazy creep falls to his knees, they should make for the exits.
