 I’m no fan of Malcolm Turnbull but I can see why the Australian Prime Minister has never used the speech which Minchin  ( unasked! ) claims he wrote for him.

The clown (Minchin, not Turnbull!) plainly has no small opinion of himself!

Perhaps the unused speech resembled his F-word-laced responses to Steph Harmon, the Guardian hackette interviewing him.

But when it comes to educated people, in the field of education, I have to ask my headline question, about another schmuck called Johnny.

When I was an undergraduate, and indeed a postgrad student, in the halcyon 60s and 70s, almost all of our professors commanded respect, even veneration.

That doesn’t mean we liked them all, but they generally bore themselves with dignity, were able to speak and write good English and did all they could to educate us.

Hence my bafflement at what is allowed to work on college campuses these days, individuals like this racist foul-mouth –
