Jakarta Police ‘Ask’ Fanatic Not To Bring Mob?

    Aha!

I see the Indonesian Police have summoned Rizieq the Fanatic to appear on Monday.

A Million-Strong Fanatic Mob In Jakarta Today?

    .

After he failed to appear last week, because he wasn’t feeling up to it – but could not provide his lawyer with a medical note to back up his excuse…

Fanatics Fail To Show Up. So What Next?

….this is interesting, and not only to honest citizens worried about disorder and traffic madness, congestion which anti-social extremists have often inflicted on the blameless decent folk here.

Beware! Very Short Fanatic ‘Long March,’ Jakarta, This Friday!

Strangely, the police are reportedly ‘requesting’ him to come along with his lawyer but without a mob.

    A ‘request?’

Might be better to call it a warning, rather than a request, and to have water-cannon on standby to hose down any obstreperous rabble who tag along.

    .

    .

They could use some of the disinfectant trucks who regularly spray our komplek’s streets!

Alternatively, they could just go to that alley in Jakarta’s Pertamburan area, where the Fanatic has his lair and drag him out.

Last week we saw a pack of oafs in paramilitary outfits saying who could and could not enter the alley!

    .

That arrogant goon-squad could do with being put in their place!

      Oh no!
All my old friends and neighbors will be reluctant to set out for the city center tomorrow until they know if Rizieq’s mob accompanies him to Polda Netro.
That’s if he arrivea at all.
Your idea is very civic minded.
No more fooling around, just bring him in!

Fanatics Fail To Show Up. So What Next?

    After our popular blog-post yesterday…

A Million-Strong Fanatic Mob In Jakarta Today?

…I’m updating, to confirm that my guess was more or less correct.

Neither Rizieq the Fanatic…The Fanatic Returns! Indonesian “Scholar” Offers Warm Welcome!….nor his equally fanatical son-in-law…Brutal Paris Beheader A ‘Hero,’ Says Jakarta Fanatic! …appeared at Jakarta Police HQ in response to summonses issued over alleged contravention of the rules laid down to stop the spread of the Chinese Virus.

    .

China is Lying, Coronavirus started in Wuhan

    A quick aside –

Interestingly, Jakarta’s City Governor, Anies Baswedan, who inexplicably chose to drop by for a visit with Rizieq last month, after the ‘grand imam’ got back from so-called ‘exile’ in Saidi Arabia…

    • Jakarta Governor candidate Anies Baswedan wins an adoring smile from ferocious FPI ‘grand imam, Habib Rizieq ( pre-‘exile’) who had suggested the Christian Governor Ahok be slain for unacceptably quoting some Koranic verse –.“We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq.

    …has now tested positive!

    Another quick aside –

Several readers were concerned about my tinsel shopping expedition.

Alas, Carrefour had nothing Christmassy, nor did the Mr DIY store, where I got my tinsel last year.

I asked a mall info girl for help. She suggested several places I had already been to.

Then she added that I could ask in Asadwa!

Going to what sounded like a hitherto unknown Egyptian town did not appeal, but I asked how to get there.

‘Out the door, left, 100 metres. ‘

I thanked her and walked off, thinking that my destination must be very close to Ace Hardware, which I knew was close.

    And it was!

But no festive decos there either!

    Today I tried once more!

    Yes!

    Superindo Saves!

    0000000

And of course the fanatic mob did not materialise!

When I got home from the shops, I checked local tv news. The police spokesman said the summoned duo might drop by later.

But there was no mob, so I suspected the cop would be disappointed.

    Verily!

The Fanatic sent his lawyers, saying he had been in hospital and was now home, ‘resting!’

But the legal team were apparently coy about saying when either Rizieq or his son-in-law might deign to appear – BTW, the son-in-law was not in hospital, unless as part of the fanatic team that spirited Rizieq out the hospital’s back door…

    https://en.tempo.co/read/1410039/police-to-probe-bogor-ummi-hospital-directors

…and that episode, now a raging controversy, along with his diagnosis, is so bizarre that I prefer to direct you to another media link!

Funnily enough, no actual doctor’s note was available for police inspection.

    A continuing saga…

A Million-Strong Fanatic Mob In Jakarta Today?

Believe it or not, but, eager to ward off the pandemical gloom, I was planning to shop for tinsel today.

Putting up the tree early is a small but hopefully effective way to counteract the Chinese Virus’s depressive impact, which even gets my cheerful self down now and then!

Tinsel’s not hard to get even in minimarts but I like going into town, mingling with other people on the TransJakarta buses…

    .

Take the bus, don’t contribute to traffic jams!

    .

….enjoying a stroll down those still relatively new broad sidewalks on Sudirman.

Not everybody is WFH so although the city centre is not as crowded as once it was, it’s a helluva lot more congenial that the lonesome streets of my komplek.

    .

    .

However, according to at least some of the Indonesian media, there may actually be intense congestion downtown…THIS VERY MORNING!

I refer to a report on the summons delivered by police to Rizieq the Fanatic.

The Fanatic Returns! Indonesian “Scholar” Offers Warm Welcome!

    • FPI ‘grand imam, Habib Rizieq, who condemned Jakarta’s then-Governor Ahok for unacceptably quoting some Koranic verse –.
    • We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq
    •  http://www.suara.com/news/2016/10/14/134313/
    • 0000000000000

I could write about his antics every day, but frankly it’s wearisome. He has no small opinion of himself, and one’s increasingly reluctant to feed his ego.

However, if it’s true that the summons requires him to present himself at Polda Metro Jaya ( city police HQ)

    …at 10am today…

    .

    Polda Metro

    .

…and it seems to be so, as the Okezone report features a photo of the summons, then it MAY also be true that he will be accompanied by a MILLION ranting sectarian fanatics.

At least so says Rizieq’s faithful follower, Novel Bamukmin, Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212!

We have noticed Novel often over the years, even before he demonstrated his Islamic supremacism and his sexism with that famous quote…

    oooooo

Novel has featured here before, for enlightened statements which bring such credit to his cause.

“…women already have limitations, let alone non- Muslims!”

    http://megapolitan.kompas.com/read/2013/10/26/1937287/.FPIMenolak.Lurah.Susan.Harga.Mati

….and not to forget his charming riposte to the beautiful Nikita Mirzani.

    .

….whose witty jibes against Rizieq have been delighting the citizenry for weeks..

If she doesn’t apologise, I take no responsibility for mayhem on the part of Muslims who are Habib devotees.’

Novel says that Rizieq’s fans will show up too, from all regions and that can whiten Polda Metro Jaya..”

    Whiten?’

    An odd choice of words.

Will the fanatics bring brushes and paint and do some honest toil, refurbishment of the cop-shop?

    That’ll be the day!

It’s more likely a reference to the white uniforms that Rizieq’s FPI vigilante gang sport…

    .

…on their sectarian raids and parades.

Novel predicts that if Habib Rizieq attended the summons by Polda Metro Jaya, millions of people would also attend to escort him.

So should we believe Novel’s boast?

If a million of those white-shirts did appear, the main north-south artery would be clogged for miles, all the way from Blok M in the south to Kota in the north.

I can imagine trying to squeeze through, on my way to Grand Indonesia mall.

Excuse me, chaps, can I get by, please….’

..’I need to buy some Christmas decorations!’

But in fact, I suspect Novel’s prediction may not be put to the test.

Rizieq and his crew tend to regard themselves as above the law. The summons is related to alleged violations of the virus rules.

The Fanatic may simply decide to send his lawyer with a doctor’s note!

There is no news about Rizieq obeying the police summons.

Jakarta Fanatic Rally – Traffic Havoc – Top Cop Speaks Up!

Good to hear Indonesia’s top cop has pledged to prevent the Islamist fanatics implementing their nasty anti-social scheme to create traffic havoc.

General Tito Karnavian denounced the notorious sectarian extremist Habib Rizieq’s statement, which said the Dec. 2 protesters would carry out Friday prayers across the capital’s two main roads, namely Jl. MH Thamrin and Jl. Sudirman.

    http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/11/21/police-to-ban-use-of-jakartas-main-roads-for-dec-2-rally.html

Curiously, the Jakarta Post reporter didn’t explain to JP readers about Rizieq, whom they described merely as a ‘spokesman’ for the GNPF-MUI  – that’s the recently organised ‘National Movement to Save the Indonesian Ulema Council’s Edicts…

    Oh, and –

Edicts, BTW,should have been left in its original, untranslated form, FATWAS

Cops – “Islamist ‘Scholars’ Can Veto Religious Liberty”

If you want to know more about the Indonesian Ulema Council’s fatwas, then you can flick through our search box and chortle at the absurd yoga ban, and shudder at their awful habit of running to the police to back up their dogmatic intolerance.

    —-

But the JP should have said that Rizieq is in fact the ‘high priest’ of the IslamoNazi thug-gang, the FPI, self-styled ‘Islam Defenders Front.’

Again, check out our search box for their horrid habits.

    ———-

Of course here in Indonesia, everyone knows that, but overseas readers should not be left in the dark about the true nature of the forces of darkness!

Tito said if demonstrators insisted on holding their rally on those roads, the police would disperse them and act firmly to anyone who opposed the police.

    GOOD!

Muslims can like everyone else, pray at any time, and in any place. I had a very nice Muslim colleague in London, who would pray in our staff smoking room. No problem.

But we have seen both here…Jakarta – Top Cop Slams Traff-Islamic-Jams   … and in Western countries…Paris ban on Muslim street prayers comes into effect – BBC News… examples of irresponsible crowds brazenly and needlessly obstructing  public roads and footpaths.

    • macetsemanggi1

    ‘normal’ Jakarta traffic jam

    • This should be outlawed and stern action taken.

    ——–

General Tito talks sense too about how to handle amok-runs, like that seen in Jakarta on 4th November.

Breaking News – Jakarta Cops Tear-Gas Islamist Louts!

Violent protesters would be charged with articles 212 to 218 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) on attacks against public officials.

That will be widely applauded, if it happens.

Jakarta IslamoNazi – Paris ‘Reaped the Whirlwind!’

I was all set to go into town, but Jakarta’s rainy season had supervened, so time to browse the news.

There are few more loathesome people in Indonesia than Habib Rizieq, of the IslamoNazi FPI (“Islam Defenders’ Front”)

    • I was watching and waiting to learn what this otherwise lovely country’s lousy bigots would have to say on the subject.
    • Rizieq rarely disappoints.

Rizieq was quoted as saying on Monday (11/22/2015)-
“Who planted the seeds of hatred and hostility, will undoubtedly reap strife and dissension. Who planted the seeds of evil and injustice, will undoubtedly reap revenge and anger.

    Probably not.

But what are we to make of this malignant man’s outburst?

What might the IslamoNazi FPI be expected to reap for what they have sown?
