Tucked away in the North American media, we find a news item that should ring alarm bells in Europe.

Two boat-loads, 19 crimmigrants, arrived in Cartagena, Spain last week.

Not that many? Twenty too many, some of us might say.

But here’s the rub –

On Friday, Spain’s Red Cross said that in the first six months of this year it had attended to more than 7,400 migrants, compared to 3,600 migrants in all of 2016.
